Army Training Command General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lt Gen K Nagaraj has taken over as the new Jaipur-based South Western Command, expected to be fully operational by August 15.Nagraj will be replaced in Shimla by Lt Gen Deepak Kapoor.. Artrac's Chief of Staff Lt Gen Hardev Singh Lidder has taken over as the GoC of the Tezpur-based IV 'Gajraj' corps, succeeding Lt Gen Anup Singh Jamwal, who has been designated the GoC of the new corps (IX) coming up in the Jammu area. Lt Gen Kapur will be replaced by Lt Gen Thomas Mathew, one of the recently-promoted three-star officers. Lt Gen Mathew, earlier GoC, Delhi area has handed over charge to Maj Gen P C Bhardwaj. Out of the crop of the recently-promoted Lt Gens, only one -Lt Gen Mandhata Singh - has yet to be posted. Lt Gen H S Panag had recently taken over the Bhopal-based XXI corps, succeeding Lt Gen Aditya Singh, who took over as the C-in-C of the tri-service Andaman and Nicobar Command.

Man would like the economic engine to drive the Indo Pak Peace train,
