BHEL's Bhopal unit is these days said to be running short of officials who can communicate with the media in black and white. Things have reached to such a pass that it even failed to deliver a press release during the annual press conference this time. While some attribute it to the company's austerity measures, others say it does not have enough officials in its P&PR department who can be said to be well suited for the job. And the one who was handling such matters for years has superannuated last year. Whatever the fact may be, it was ultimately the media put to loss. They could not get the readymade copy of what the local unit head wanted to convey.
