Latest information says that 1975 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS officer P C Chaturvedi is being appointed Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Finance. Earlier the name of another UP cadre 1975 batch IAS officer Ms Rita Menon was in circulation.

The Central Board of Excise and Customs has issued the transfer list of 61 Commissioners and two Chief Commissioners.Chief Commissioner Mathur has been shifted from Ahemdabad to Delhi.K N Gupta will be Chief Commissioner in Delhi.

Why some people take any debate to personalised levels is beyond comprehension particularly if the issues are being debated by the so called premeire civil services officers. questioning the singular control of IAS on all spheres of the governance can by no mean be termed and sideline by mearly branding it as 'envy'. IAS must realized that the other civil services are having equally competent and qualified members as the IAS have and both should get equal opportunities of showcasing their talent which shouldnot be suppresed only because of somebody not belonging to a particular service as ultimate sufferer for such attitudes is only the quality of governance. Envy theory is based upon twin arguments of superior rank and superior exposure of IAS to other services. It must be realized that both these arguments have no logic as a high % officers in other services were having superior ranks to present day IAS and the exposure to other services have been systematically denied to ensure service specific monopoly of power. Till the time IAS does not come out of its 'feudalistic' mentality and start considering other services as equal partners in the governance process the quality of governance is going to remain what it is as of today.

To say that anti-IAS comments are a reflection of feeling of jealousy can be termed nothing except pure arrogance. IAS has failed to realize that the system design created by them through a poltico-bureaucratic nexus with complete centralization of power with one service while systematically demolishing other components of governance are today affecting the quality of governance very badly. Day is not far away when scenes of Rang de Besanti becomes a reality in our day to day life. why cant it rise from the parochial service identification and work for broad basing the administration to provide good quality service to the general masses which i suppose was the role envisaged from this premier service?

Nut takes himself to be the ultimate in External Affairs,
Shouldn't the fool be more concerned about his own affairs????

Because by the looks of it the ED has him by the scruff of his neck!!! But, then as we all know there is a reason why this man is called 'Nut'!!!!! His half-baked knowledge and his erroneous judgment that he's the ultimate in External Affairs was and is Nut's biggest problem!!! Today Nut is firing his gob because he misses being at the helm of foreign affairs….. he considered himself to be a Master in this area!!!! So this is his way of making his presence felt…… basically to the Communists!!!!

Khanna has spilled the beans. Its time that the investigation is handed over to the CBI!!!! Pathak Commission does not have the means for a intrusive investigation!!!! All of a sudden both father and son are nervous…….. Khanna has a thriving Arms Business and cannot afford to take sides with Nut and Jagat!!!! Its only a matter of time before Nut, Jagat, Andaleeb and Khanna are issued show cause Notices!!!!

When RJD was in power in Bihar Laloo wanted the trial to take place in Bihar…. and now after losing power in Bihar he wants the case to be shifted out of Bihar!!!! The crime was in Bihar and should be tried in Bihar…… after all we do follow a jurisdiction policy!! And then the Judiciary is not effected by Political changes…. or does Laloo differ on this?????

The Bihar Vigilance has issued an alert for Sadhu Yadav!!!! Sadhu was looking forward to attend the nuptials of his niece….. but seems he'll be missing the nuptials….. either in hiding or in jail!!!! But there is another school of thought that says viewing Laloo's clout for all you know Sadhu will attend the nuptials….. of course will keep out of the camera glare!!!!! If one of the RJD goons could attend Parliament when a non bailable arrest warrant was issued against him then attending a marriage should be a piece of cake!!!!

Before going to an Airport Praful should use on his head Navratna 'tandha tandha' tel (oil)!!!

Praful habitually looses his temper at Indian Airport Terminals….not that he is to blame!!! He's done so twice in the past !!!! And he repeated it again…. Praful was going to Abu Dhabi and he boarded the plane and sent his PA to get the necessary clearances. The Official on Duty did not oblige as he felt Praful should have got the clearances before emplaning!!!! Anyway the Official got in touch with his Seniors are was told to clear Praful as he held a Diplomatic Passport and this allowed him to get clearances on the tarmac!!! And this was an ominous start as in Abu Dhabi Praful got a taste of Arab high handedness!!!
