Two imp posts to be filled in April

The government is faced with an arduous task of filling at least two very important posts in April. They are the post of the Cabinet Secretary and the Establishment Officer.

New EO to be from Madhya Pradesh !

New Establishment Officer in the Department is likely to be Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer. The post has fallen vacant following the appointment of Badal Das as Secretary Culture.

Additional Secretary level changes this week

About half a dozen Additional Secretary level changes are expected to take place in the Government of India this week.

Sinha moves to Planning Commission

A N P Sinha has been shifted to the Planning Commission. He is 1974 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre.

Premkumar appointed Chairman in Maharashtra

Outgoing Chief Secretary of Maharashtra R M Premkumer has been appointed Chairman, SICOM, Govt. of Maharasthra Undertaking by the Chief Minister with effect from 3rd April. He is retired 1968 batch IAS officer.

Talmiz Ahmad returns to MEA

Additional Secretary Petroleum, Talmiz Ahmad, is returning to the Ministry of External Affairs this week. 1974 batch IFS officer, Ahmad, is joining the Indian Council of World Affairs.

It would be wishful thinking however that the IAS will loosen their stranglehold and forge India into a specialized environment. In Rajhastan a school book which compares donkeys with politicians has politicians crying foul,
