Instead of merely reporting transfers and postings, you could perhaps try and find out reasons for transfers- at least those which happen out of transfer season like the recent transfers of Chief Secretary and DG Police in Uttar Pradesh. Weren't these posts to carry a tenure of 2 years or so? If even Chief Secretaries and DG Police can be shifted frequently, something is seriously wrong?

Today Bihar Police came up with another first and a feather in its cap. Ashish Ranjan Sinha, DGP, Bihar flagged off first batch of 2000 Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) drawn from the Ex- army men. SAP is an innovative experiment and first of its kind in the country. The soldiers who have done the country proud while serving in the army have been inducted on a purely contractual basis. The force so raised will be used for fighting organized crime and for anti Naxal operation. Well done Bihar Police !
