About 60 IPS officers belonging to 1985 batch have been empanelled to the rank of IG in the Government of India. Altogether 85 officers were considered for the empanelment.

NO wonder why these Secretary level posts are vacant in the Government of India? Seeing the list of vacant posts of secretaries the reason is clear. All posts are sideline posts and will be accommodated by the most unwilling persons. And we should not expect miracles from the persons who will be forced to go there. Can PM or someone else, not think of making these posts responsible. Why can't defense secretary/petroleum secretary be shifted to these posts. I am sure no one is listening.
