Yes, it will help those willing to expose themselves and assess their potential for survival in Private sector and get absorbed if fit for private sector. If unfit for private sector remarks may be entered into their service book so that their potential may be judged before considering their promotion. Secondly, post created vacant due to their absorption in private sector may be abolished to reduce strength in the Government.

Eligibility for residential accommodation in Delhi among batch mates in Indian information service depends upon their office of posting. IIS officers posted in Prasar Bharati are not eligible during their tenure there either for applying for government accommodation or if already allotted accommodation during their earlier stint in Non-prasar bharati office and become eligible for subsequent upgradation of accommodation while serving in Prasar Bharati. The situation becomes more ridiculous when a junior batch mate in non-prasar bharati office is allotted accommodation while his senior batch mate is not even eligible for applying for accommodation.
