This is about SCOPE

This is with reference to role of SCOPE. The organ was supposed to be PSU organ equivalent to CII, FICCI etc. But it is just holding some seminars renting out conference halls and coming out with a monthly magazine. It had tried to develop Consulting of its own, a club to share views of PSUs but these could not go forward. With the availability of expertise with various PSU executives, both present and past, it would be worthwhile to channelise the skills for development atleast. Everyone realises that being a body of PSU it can not have teeth but at least can pool the available resources for development schemes, CSR, Training and development, propogate corporate governance, develop library, literature, could act as a club for serving and retired PSU executives. With the organisation and infrastructure it has, this is not duifficult. Let a brainstorming of some present and ex CMDs and Directors be arranged by DPE and scope.
