Prasad is Energy Advisor to Uttaranchal

Yogendra Prasad has been appointed Advisor (Energy) to the Chief Minister, Uttranchal. Prior to this . Prasad was working as Chairman & Managing Director , NHPC.. Prasad will not draw any salary.
Prasad's name is still figuring for the top post of NHPC for a contract appointment of two years. The decision on this will depend upon the verdict of the Supreme Court, which will shortly take up the SLP filed by the Union Power Ministry against the judgement of Gauhati High Court. The High Court had asked the Ministry of Power to immediately appoint S.C. Sharma as CMD of NHPC. Bihar politicians are very keen to see Prasad to again head NHPC since NHPC is to take up a major rural roads project in Bihar.
