Ten Secretary rank posts to be filled by July end

As many as Ten secretary rank posts in the Government of India are slated to be filled by this July end. The posts are -Personnel, Inter-State Council, Animal Husbandry, Tariff Commission, Child and Women Welfare, NHAI, NHRC,Planning Commission, FCI and Parliamentary Affairs.

Will the Parliament run without a secretary?

Will the Parliament run without a secretary during the forthcoming Session from July 24? This question is being asked in the bureaucratic circles because there is no Parliamentary Secretary at present.

Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, N C Vajpayee, has been empanelled to the rank of Equivalent to the Secretary in the Government of India. He is 1972 batch IAS officer.

Rani Jadhav unlikely to join GoI

Chairperson of the Mumbai Port Trust, Ms Rani Jadhav, who has been empanelled to the rank of Secretary is unlikely to move to Delhi. She is 1970 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre.

Retired SPG Chief T K Mitra will be new Advisor to the Home Ministry on the Kashmir issue.He is 1968 batch retired IPS officer.

Atul Kumar Tiwari is back to the parent Karnataka cadre after completion of foreign training. On return 1990 batch IAS officer, Tiwari, has been posted as Additional Resident Commissioner of Karnataka in Delhi.

1988 batch IPS to be promoted in Punjab

Three 1988 batch IPS officers -Prabodh Kumar, Rohit Chaudhry and I P S Sahota are being promoted to the rank of IG in Punjab in a week or two.

Meeting of the Search Committee Chaired by Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, Dr Montek Singh Ahluwalia, was held on July 15. Will he be an ISS officer , IAS officer or some one from the Planning Commission. Who has influenced the selection process ?.
According to grapevine the next Chief statistician of India (CSI ) is going to be Vaskar Saha who had sought voluntary retirement as ADG (CSO) last year. He has the blessings of C. Rangrajan , former Governor of RBI. He is also close to Prime Minister. Another rumour doing the round is that Dr. S.K.Nath presently DG (CSO) is tipped to be CSI as he has the blessings of P.R.Munshi . The third rumour is about Dr. K.V.Rao presently DG ( NSSO) who is considered to be contender for the post of CSI as he has the blessings of 10 Janpath and also Oscar Fernandes former MOS . Will the IAS lobby scuttle the selection process ?..

Jyothi Lal has been posted as Special Secretary Public Distribution. E Ayyappan is new Director SC Development and T T Antony has been appointed Director State Insurance.

S P Singh is not joining GMR Group

1983 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh Cadre, S P Singh, has made it clear that he is not joining GMR Group or any other private sector. " I am a proud member of I.A.S and will assure you that I will retire as a proud member of the service. It seems somebody has fed you with imaginary information with malicious and mischievous intent. " Singh said adding " I would also like to clarify that at no point of time in the past has there been any offer from any private sector company including GMR for me to join the private sector nor have I ever been interviewed by any private sector for any Job. I assure that till I retire such things will not happen ".

Basically USA has one set of standards for itself , one set of standards for its Allies and for the rest the standards are circumstantial….. depending on the gain !!!! And if USA wants to help Pakistan when the evidence is submitted USA will say the evidence is questionable!!! There's no pleasing USA… recall when 9/11 took place USA cried and India stood by USA…… today when its USA's turn to do the same, USA is looking for excuses not to do so!!!! Pawar feels that Congress takes Allies for granted,
Says more consensus is wanted!!!

After being targeted for the price rise Pawar is now preparing to respond punch by punch.!!!! Sonia's dinner for UPA is the 'ring' where Pawar will respond with his punches!!! Pawar will say that UPA is not Congress's fiefdom and that the Government should be run by consensus!!! So maybe now there will be a broad based UPA Coordination Committee in which all the Allies will be included!!! Rabdi does not feel so and feel s his movies are no good!!!

For Jha's achievements Bihar Government awarded him a plot in Patna!!!! Rabdi says this is not right!!! Rabdi does not like Jha's work…….. that's because Jha's movies show what happened in Laloo and Rabdi Raaj…… character known as Sadhu Yadav was the villain in one of his movies………and they say there was a reel and real life connection!!!

On Constitution's 'Freedom of ex-pression' Sarkaar should not loose sight!!

Democracy has its own checks and balances. Where there is freedom of ex-pression there is also the freedom to sue!!! And what is this new Bill on the Media that the Sarkaar is working on???? The Commies and the oldies in the Sarkaar would like to throttle the Media…….. they are more in tune to using the rod to get what they want!!! A free Media is the hallmark of a thriving Democracy!!!! And the day our Political establishment becomes fair it can demand that the Media also becomes fair.
