They were not considered for empanelment

Atleast 5 1973 batch IAS officers were not considered for the empanelment to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India because they are retiring only this year. They are Mssrs K T Chacko,C Y Rajeev,Yogesh Khanna,Bhaskar Chatterjee and K C Kapoor.

Who is this officer ?

An IAS officer of UP cadre, known to be very close to Amar singh, has managed to get the green signal for joining the Commerce Ministry.
It is whispered that Kamal Nath was very reluctant to agree to his name because of this very reason, but a line of businessmen was rounded up to pressurize the Minister, including a very prominent businessman from Mumbai and another from Kolkata (no prizes for guessing the names of these). Finally, the Commerce Minister succumbed, and the officer is all set to get the coveted posting.

At times I wonder at the term 'public servant' often used to describe the bureaucrats. I wonder whether there is any element of public service involved in our working! what to say about public service whether there is any element of 'service' itself in our working? You can find this out through a survey of the 'public servants' and of 'public' to know the reality. I would be amazed even if we score 3 points over a scale of 10 points on the 'public perception index' of the bureaucracy.
Infact do we really need a survey for this is also questionable premise. Take a look into the service prefernce scale of our young brethrens. Service prefernces (within the service post preferences) are directly proporionate to the 'opportunities' available in that service. This explains the reason for downward movement of Customs & Excise and upward movement of IRS.
There is a desperate need for administrative reforms and relook at the induction & training process of 'public servants'. We would have to remodulate our bureaucracy and align it with changing needs of progressive nation as has been done by China. The old feudalisitic order must die and be replaced with a more professional system of administration.

Amar Singh knows a few Urdu and Hindi couplets that he repeats and thinks that people will take him to be a well-read person!!!! In fact Amar Singh is the Rakhi Sawant of Indian Politics!!! And as we all know India TV considers Item Girls to be Breaking News….. so Rakhi Sawant and Amar Singh get the maximum coverage on India TV!!!! Seems someone should let Rajat know what is the true meaning of Breaking News!!!!

Ek rahe Big B, ek rahe Mulayam aur ek rahe Amar,
Big B kahe IT is harassing him, Mulayam kahe bombarding him and Amar says IT is trying to break Big B's kamar!!!

Aur hum kahe this is nothing but 'chor machaye shor'!!!! Just because the IT contested his claim that his anchoring is not acting, Big B has gone ballistic on IT!!!! At every step be it the IT Claims, the nomenclatures, the goggles, the house….. Big B has got Amar to politicise matters!!! Though some would contest this and say that Amar has got Big B to politicise matters…… Mulayam is the Producer, Amar is the Director and Big B is just the Actor!!!!

Substandard wheat India is ready to buy!!!!

Well then Indian Farmers could question that why can't the same price and standard be applicable to them too??? Pawar's logic is that by lowering the standard Suppliers list will expand and competition would ensure that prices would come down!!!! Prices will come down and so would quality….. but then we Indians do not have a say…. Pawar decides the quality of Wheat that Indians should accept!!!! Another thing ……. Pawar is not bothered about wheat Farmers because they are not his constituency!!!

Rahul is a drug addict and this was known all along!!!

Rahul needs help to get out of this habit via some rehab programme!!! Had Rahul's Dad been alive and in power the Police would have shown that Rahul had been forced to take the drugs….. DP haisiyath dekh ke tilak ya kalank laggathi hai!!!! The Mahajan family have to adopt…. haathi ke daanth khane ke alag aur dikhane ke alag!!!! In Public they can refute Rahul being a drug addict but in private they should accept this and try to get him off drugs!!! Because if they don't then Rahuls' path and that of the law will criss-cross again in the future!!!! So if he wants to ake his Dad proud, as he vows, he should try to kick the drug habit!!!!

Rising prices …… UPA Sarkaar has egg on its face,
If prices rising prices are not curbed in Aam Aadmi's eyes UPA and specially Congress will fall in grace!!!

Prices are shooting up with every passing day!!!! Aam Aadmi feels that Congress has let him down!!!!
