Secretary to Govt. of India for some unwritten reason it would be
better that formality of their Empanelment procedure is taken separately from the rest for all India.

Aaj Ki Aawaz

After some persuasion Rajat Sharma, the mock Prosecution in Aaj Ki Adalat and the Key Anchor in Breaking News of India TV , agreed to put himself in the dock for Aaj Ki Adalat. His only precondition was that his co-Anchor on Breaking News be the mock Judge , to which I readily agreed.

Me: Welcome to Aaj Ki Adalat. How does it feel to be in the dock???
Rajat: Well it's a change for me as usually be it Aaj Ki Adalat or India TV I'm used to putting people in the dock!!!
Me: The first accusation on you is that you try to show that you are in the know of everything.
Rajat: I read 25 newspapers in the morning….. I scan every news channel for two hours everyday!!!
Me: But you try to show that you have inside knowledge!!!
Rajat: The news that I glean goes into my mental computer and then it's inside knowledge!!!
Me: Why do you then horse about that you have info from the horse's mouth???
Rajat: You forget that I get a lot of calls on my mobile from people giving me inside dope!!!!
Me: From what is shown on your channel it's easy to guess who is the dope….. next allegation is that you do not know what is the actual meaning of Breaking News!!!!
Rajat: News that you break is Breaking News!!!
Me: Breaking news in television is a spontaneous newscast, which interrupts the scheduled program in order to report the latest details of a currently happening event. The term has been popularized by such television networks as CNN, BBC, NDTV, CNN IBN live etc. Frequently, breaking news is marked by appropriate visual elements, like a news ticker, or logos…suggests an urgency, and brings the viewer live to the event. How do you quantify Mika kissing Rakhi Sawant and some playback singer having two wives as Breaking News??
Rajat: All news on our Channel is Breaking news!!!
Me: So as per your Channel all the faltu stuff is Breaking News!!!
Rajat: Objection me Lord!!!
Me: In your Aap Ki Adalat you don't allow such objections so you cannot seek any refuge in objecting!!!
Rajat: You are like that Karan Thapar guy!!!
Me: This is not an interview but an Adalat…. I think you should learn to differentiate between Interviewing and legal grilling!!!
Rajat: All I can say that for us this is Breaking News!!!
Me: Okay now coming to a related accusation…… your Channel is supposed to be a news Channel but seems you only cover Bollywood!!!
Rajat: Why do you feel that Bollywood is not news???
Me: You are most welcome to cover Bollywood but then please change the name of your Channel to Bollywood TV… why India TV and the classification that this is a News Channel????
Rajat: Bollywood is Indian so India TV!!!
Me: So is Tollywood, Kollywood, Dollywood….. why don't you cover these too???
Rajat: Meri marzi….. mein chahe Bollywood cover karoo , mein chahe kuch aur cover karoo , meri marzi!!!
Me: Yes yes I've heard this song…. mein chahe yeh karroo , mein chahe woh karroo , meri marzi… what a filmy answer????
Rajat: Thank you!!!!
Me: Next accusation is that you sermonize in Breaking News!!!!
Rajat: I don't sermonize but I just like to end the news item with what you may call 'moral of the news item'!!!
Me: People say that Rajat likes to add his two pence!!!
Rajat: Which people….. name them…… I'll do a Breaking News on them and straighten them!!!
Me: Whoa…. easy it…. you mean to say that you use your Breaking News as a weapon!!!!
Rajat: Samajhne waale samajh gaye joh naa samjhe woh anaadi hai!!!
Me: Again a filmy reply…… but its wrong to use your Channel as a weapon!!!!
Rajat: Meri marzi…….. Mein chahe logon ko TV pe nangaa karoo , mein chahe logon se pangaa loo, meri marzi!!!
Me: Have you noticed that in your Aaj Ki Adalat or India TV no credible politician has been interviewed or tried!!!
Rajat: I look at it that anyone who has not been interviewed or tried by me has not arrived!!!
Me: So you mean Sonia and Vajpayee have still not arrived!!!
Rajat: Well......
Me: Maybe they do not want the cheap publicity that people like Mulayam , Amar and Laloo want!!!
Rajat: Very soon Big B will be appearing in Aaj Ki Adalat…. so there!!!
Me: I'm sure he will be because he must be indebted to you for your biased coverage on the IT Notices to him!!!!
Rajat: See I'm not used to being questioned so please try to finish this fast!!!
Me: You call your Channel as the ' most influential Channel'!!!!
Rajat: Of course India TV is the most influential Channel……. the high and mighty tremble when our name is taken!!!
Me: They tremble that if their name comes on India TV they would be considered as faltoo!!!
Rajat: Who says so…….. if you do not take back your words I will do an exclusive on you!!!!
Me: This is the next allegation…… like Breaking News seems your Channel does not know what is the meaning of Exclusive!!!
Rajat: Whatever appears on India TV is exclusive…… high standard, top class…… haven't you heard of people saying that so and so place is exclusive???
Me: Sir the meaning of exclusive in News is that your Channel is solely in possession of the news or scoop!!!
Rajat: I still maintain that everything on India TV is exclusive!!!!
Me: Lets agree to disagree ………. I think on practically everything…… now lets see what the Judge has to say???
Judge ( Rajat's co-anchor): Breaking News is that everything about Rajat Ji is exclusive. East or West India TV is Number One…….. jeethe ga bhai jeethe ga India TV jeethe ga!!!
Me: Arre this is no judgment …. you should respond like a Judge and not a cheerleader!!!
Judge: Meri marzi… chahe mein Rajat ko exclusive boloon, chahe mein India TV ko sabh se best boloon , meri marzi.
Me: This brings us to the end of this episode of Aaj Ki Adalat…… let the people be the Judge…. after all its their marzi that matters….. chahe woh gadhe ko ghoda banaaye , chahe woh ghode ko ghada banaye….. Public ki marzi!!!!
