I fail to understand that when there are so many services in the
Government of India and when there is such a large pool of human resource available why don't the officers of different services reach the level of secretary. Is it because of the empanelment system or because there is a rule/law that only officers from IAS will be made Secretaries. If there is a law do let me know. As a viewer of your site, I have become curious because where I work only the talent rises to the tap and there are no unwritten laws. I use the name Moron VIewer because that is how the bureaucrats treat the aam admi /citizen like me in this country. I don't want to disclose my name because I am mortally scared of the bureaucrats because they would go to any extent to screw an ordinary citizen if they don't like him. They are fuedal in approach- as I saw one comment in your site that u should not cover any tom ,dick and harry.

This is the highest hike…. usually prices of fuel products are hiked by Rs.1 or max Rs.2,
Such a steep hike was the wrong thing to do!!!

The hike is going to have a cascading effect and inflation will touch 7 %…… this hike is going to kick start price hikes in various sectors!!!! The common man who is already bearing the burden of hikes in roti, kapda and makaan is going to be hardest hit by the fuel hike!!!! Though there are rumours that Government has kept margin for Commie protests or some politicking….. maybe the hike in Petrol would come down by Rs.1 and in Diesel by fifty paise!!!!! Deora's logic that Indian Oil Majors will go bust is wrong….. hope he's heard of an Oil Price Equalization Fund???? Problem is he's thinking like a businessman!!! If this hike is not reduced then PC should meet Economist Manmohan and ask him what should be done when the Inflation rate outstrips the Bank Interest Rate?????

The new Form is a punishment for paying your taxes!!!!! Rather than concentrating on getting more people into the tax bracket PC is trying to make the present tax payers rue that why did they start paying taxes!!!!! PC should realize that for a Country that does not have a Social Security system Indians could be the highest tax payers in the World….. you have to load the tax we are paying by a notional rate for the Social Security benefit in many Countries. Its time PC stopped being a Lawyer FM and became and FM….. PC ji please PC …. Please Consider!!!!!

The Government is mistaken in thinking that all have made a killing in the Stock Markets and now will not mind a stiff doze of price increases and taxes!!! If this is the thinking then why doesn't the Government also tax the FIIs who are here just because of the tax benefits…… in the FII valuations tax exemption is a huge contributor!!! Next on the Government's agenda is taxing White Goods by one way or the other…… like TVs are bound to become expensive with a 10-15 % tax!!!

Basically Arjun is cut up that his loyalty did not get up the coveted PM's post….. and the post went to Manmohan who was Rao's Minister!!! OBC reservation is not going to benefit Congress the way they expect it to do!!!! For one Congress will loose in the Cities!!! The others crying for reservation are going to take this as preferential treatment for OBCs and become anti Congress…… if Congress is to please all in this reservation matter only the reserved would get higher education in India and the rest would have to go abroad!!!!
