Let Government scrap the CBDT

It is so sad to see what CBDT has done to its its own cadre. The doors of its members remain closed to its its own cadre and they know not where to go. Month of May is going to end and no annual transfers are in sight. Then you expect that the officers will go cross country ,fend for housing, for admissions, look for doctors, shift luggage etc. Is this the way to deal with your own cadre. What is the CBDT there for? Why can not the members deal with the transfers themselves instead of seeking approval from ministers and secretaries. And does anybody know the IRS cadre roam in the corridors of North Block and meet the junior officers from other services who damand money even for moving a file and get humiliated. Let govt scrap the CBDT as it has failed to deliver. The members should quit forthwith -they are serving no purpose except planning their post retirement postings. This may soung cruel but the income-tax deptt. appears to be a cursed deptt. Its all so sad.

Aaj Ki Aawaz

I am passing 10 Janpath and am famished. I stop the car near a chanawaala who has set up shop near 10 Janpath and get myself some Bhel Puri. I wolf down the Bhel Puri and just then I notice the contents on the paper in which the Bhel Puri was packed ….seems to be some kind of minutes. There were two papers and I get down to reading the Papers.

Minutes of meeting between Madam Sonia Gandhi and Amrinder Singh.

Amrinder: Good Morning Madam.
Sonia: Good Morning….. I did not want to give you an appointment but because of the recent problems in the Party in Punjab I've agreed to do so!!!
Amrinder: Madam Ji I know I've been in the dog house for quite some time…… actually I was expecting that you would refuse my request!!!
Sonia: So you own game has backfired on you…. abh aap ka kya hogaa Amrinder Ji?????
NOTE: Madam has said that she should be reminded that she has to write to all CMs that they should control their weight….. one because excessive weight makes them lazy and two because this sends the wrong image to the public!!!
Amrinder: Madam Jagmeet Brar is harming the Party.
Sonia : Nothing compared to the harm you've already done!!!
Amrinder: But Madam with elections coming he needs to be reigned in!!!
Sonia: If you ask me you need to be reigned in!!

Sonia: And from what I hear you are nowhere……I hear that you are the biggest leak in the Punjab exchequer!!
Amrinder: Madam I'm an ex Raja and I have my style!!!
Sonia: What is it that Punjabis sing nowadays……….andher nagri chaupat Raja….. Punjab ka Amrinder ne bajaa diya band bajaa!!!
Amrinder: Sticks and stones will hurt my bones but words will never hurt me!!!
Sonia: So if sticks and stones hurt you then my advice to you is please do not go into the villages in Punjab because this is what they've kept ready for you!!!
Amrinder: Madam all my Ministers are solidly backing me….. and they are willing to give sworn affidavits.
Sonia: With E&OE mentioned below!!!!
Amrinder: What does this mean!!!
Sonia: Actually it means Errors and Omissions Excepted but in this case its Errors and Omissions Expected…… no Congressman worth his or her salt will give you an Affidavit of support without putting E&OE in!!!
Amrinder: Okay Madam I'm going back and shall await further orders!!!
Sonia: Do you know how to play Solitaire???
Amrinder: Yes and I've got a Royal Pack of cards to play Solitaire with!!!

I do not know how this document landed up at the chanawalla!!! Maybe the extra copy landed up in the bin and from there landed up at the chanawallah as radhi paper. Just as I'm about to drive away Amar Singh lands up at the Chanawallah in his Land Cruiser and drives away with all the paper and paper cones with the chanawallah!!! Now I know from where Amar Singh gets his info on 10 Janpath!!
