A rumour is doing the round in the innermost circles of the BJP. On the face of it ,the rumour appears wholly dismissable, but , whispers say, if smoke is rising, there definitely is a fire around. President should appoint CVC not by PMO

This is with reference to your whisper-Mr.Pratyush Sinha, Secretary [personnel] is tipped to become the CVC!
Now is the time for one more man from the 'twice-born' category of citizenry of our country to occupy one of the coveted Constitutional posts of our country!
What do they do after occupying the post?
Suddenly wakeup to the fact that they have not done anything in their 36 years+ service in GoI except draw salary, look at the civil list, pooh-pooh the subordinates, like the real 'Goras' who had left us long ago but make us remember them and reminding us day in day out!
He or she makes a few noises about this 'service' or that 'service' [not about 'twice-born', you silly!], then come to a 'conclusion' that the 'Revenue Services' are the most corrupt of the country [ ignoring the 'twice-borns' who are caught in the Airports with bags of cash, constructing palatial bungalows, Cabinet Secretaries who cant eat unless it's a lavish dinner paid and organized by business-houses, demand plots in Gurgaon, Faridabad from the out-going CM while deputed as Election Observers, pay huge sums of money for 'paying' posts - in UP, Haryana, Bihar, maintaining 'mistresses', always keeping 4, 5, 6 cars at home for family use, always looking for cushy posts outside the country and after retirement by bending before the politicians blah blah!]

Why cant they allow the most senior member of the CVC to become the CVC? Just because he is not a 'twice-born' n he is a policeman and the other one is a lady from a bank! Too menial, you can't see buggers!
If you ask me - even if you don't ask me, a detailed postings profile of any contender be widely published for the people of the country to decide whether he/she is eligible to hold the post! Any objections from the citizens shall be carefully scrutinized before they are dismissed.
The post should be widely advertised in the media and circulated among all the eligible officers working in the GoI irrespective whether the person is 'twice-born' or 'menial'! Since it is a Constitutional Post, the President has to call for the nominations from wider sections of society, not merely rely upon the 'panel' sent by the PMO.

This job shall be undertaken by the President independently, not cabinet secretariat!

We all shall remember that this is a Constitutional Post and a career bureaucrat is the last candidate to be considered!

Rest can be from "other quota ".What about President ?.Here rotation can help: let next be from SC, second next from ST, Third one from OBC and after that from poor category. Sensex crashes…….some say the froth is being cleared,
9000 is seen as the realistic level so more falls are feared!!!

From finding new heights everyday now they say that the Sensex will find new lows everyday for some time. In the past we had falls on account of scams, sanctions, political changes….. but this time it's a pure gravitational problem…. or as they say everything that goes up has to come down and the steeper the rise the steeper the fall. Small investors must be very careful, despite PC, Business Channel Anchors and Brokers cajoling them to stay invested and take a long term view ….small Investors should remember that if they loose their shirts none of the aforementioned are going to help them out and secondly they should take a short term view….. food for the family, children's fees, clothes are all immediate requirements so how can a small investor take a long term view????? The Bulls boast that MFs are sitting on Rs.10,000 crores… but if you look at the volumes Rs.10,000 crores is like a bucket in the ocean!!!

As the Circuit Breaker was applied PC and others like Seconds in a Boxing fight took the Sensex out of the ring and tried to pep up the Sensex……. massaged it!!!! And now Government says that India Inc., has two years to implement reservation……. many say all this is like deadweight around India's neck……. India needs a crash course form Swami Ramdev in how to stay alive under water the Yogic way….. and needs help form someone who has Houdini's know how of how to get free form deadweight while be immersed underwater !!!!
