Idea of empanelment is a farce !
The idea of empanelment of IAS officers by Govt of India is a farce-first they decide how many vacancies are there and then lay down the criteria for empanelment
There have been instances of at least 2 IAS officers of 1972 batch who were never empanelled as Secretaries to Govt. of India but have been posted as such
Also it should be noted that the criterion that has been laid by Govt of India that you should have served as Joint Secretary in Govt. of India before being empanelled as Additional Secretary is rubbish-because some IAS officers never get empanelled as Joint Secretary due to incomplete Confidential Reports and other such mundane reasons

Inflations is up……… property prices are abnormally high……… stock market is like a gas balloon!!! What should FM do??? First control inflation and then consult Manmohan Singh and do what the good Doctor orders!!! Markets, be it stock or real estate, tend to take a reality check!!! Interest rates have to go up to counter inflationary pressures!!! Macro controls with an eye on the micro horizon!!!

The bottom line being 'you cannot please all'!!!

Seems the SC has ordered more that can be factually implemented!!! Law of the land has to be upheld…… but sometimes getting a feel that how implementable the law is would be of real help!!! Calling the BSF or the Army against the citizens of India is not right and as it is the Courts do not control the Army of BSF…. its for the Defense Ministry to take the call whether the BSF or Army should be mobilized!!!
