77 IAS officers of 1987 batch short-listed !

Over 75 IAS officers belonging to 1987 batch are believed to have been short-listed for the empanelment to the rank of Joint Secretary in the Government of India. Meeting for the empanelment is expected to take place next month. Grapevine has it that Director in the Ministry of Petroleum, Ravi Capoor, is being moved to the Oil Industry Development Board as Secretary in place of B S Bob. 1986 batch Assam-Meghalaya cadre IAS officer, Capoor, is to be promoted to the rank of Joint Secretary in the Government of India.

L Mansingh to retire

Secretary Consumer Affairs in the Government of India, Labanyendu Mansingh, is superannuating by this month end. He is 1970 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre.

Officers are demoralized in Income-Tax

The CBDT should know that the officers are not only demoralised but are also placed in hardships. Being central service one should be ready to go to any place in India. But what one has forgot is that the morale and frequent transfers of officers from one corner of India to other part places an officer in hardship. Further the infrastructure in IRS while being inadequate is also not befitting that of an officer. The spate of resignations in IRS, which has increased recently (one CCIT resigned recently) will take away the best of talent if the present trend continues allowing only the chaff to remain in service, which is detrimental to the service. So there is an urgent need to take a relook at the policy . Such a policy should have:
1. Promote deputations
2. Allow seniors to go to their place of choice
3. Remove CCIT posts where there is not much potential

Compare IRS officers with Railway Officers

Though I am not an IRS officer but I am surprised at how badly they are treated in the system. If you compared the perks enjoyed by the railway officers, the IRS officers will be shocked to death.
1. Free 5 sets of passes per year which you will never be able to consume.
2. You can take your spouse at railways cost on duty
3. Mobile phones to every officers irrespective of grade.
4. Laptop to every officer who has reached the basic of 12000/-
5. Bunglaow peon gets automatic sanction
6. P&T phones to residence and many times with STD facility
7. Vehicle is available at JC post in the field units.
8. Huge deputation options in railways ever expanding network.
9 There is absolutely no delay in promotion in any grades. and at best no more than 2 yrs.
10. Foregin trips are available in good number.
11. It is thanks to railways that you see sixth pay commission
it is high time that IRS officers should wake up and fight for their demands.

See the joke being played with Farmers in Uttar Pradesh,
In such things UP is Uttam Pradesh!!!

The UP Government played a joke on UP Farmers by sending them cheques for as low as Rs. 10, 25 and 26 as Relief!!! In such stupidity under Mulayam UP is Uttam Pradesh!!!! Farmers should add a Rupee and send the cheque back to Mulayam!!! Pawar doing dramabaazi has asked for a report on this , not realizing that the same has happened in his own State too… so busy is he with BCCI that he does not know what's happeing in his own State!!!

Laloo is moving SC on HC Order,
In Laloo Camp post the HC Order there is disorder!!!

Laloo may put up a brave front but this Order makes a huge dent in Laloo's image!!!! Its now evident that he used this Panel to appease Muslims!!!! In all probability SC too will say the same!!! And if this happens Laloo should resign from the Cabinet!!! Laloo camp says that Laloo will get relief from SC as he's always been lucky when it comes to SC…. SC's Vastu is lucky for Laloo!!! And Laloo is hurting from the IIC rejection...... inwardly he's pining!!! Now he's telling everyone that the IIC rejected his Membership as they were scared he'd bring in change..... how very right.... the Club's image would change and so would the Membership's image!!!

So this is the reason why farming he's been harming!!!

Amrinder wants Punjab to become a concrete jungle……. farming as per him is too much of a bother for the Farmer and the State!!! Like Sharad Pawar he too feels India should import its food grain requirements!!! At one time he had proposed to make Punjab the Las Vegas of Asia….. thankfully Sonia shot this stupid Project of his down……now he wants Punjab to be a sea of Apartments and Malls!!! Being an ex Raja his mind does not know what earning a living means!!! The way he's bent on taking away livelihoods Punjab will very soon have umpteen Malls and no Shoppers!!!!

At UPA Iftars Mulayam and Amar are missing!!! Paswan too did not invite Amar and Amar spent the evening cruising around Paswan's home in his Land Cruiser!!! Paswan's wife looked like a Christmas tree in comparison to the very soberly dressed Sonia!!! At Paswan's do Laloo only spoke on the HC's verdict and of plan to appeal against the Verdict. Haji Yaqoob of the Dutch Cartoonist Fatwa fame was there too and he spoke of a UDF in UP…. with SP in this Front the front will end up as United Defeated Front… today Mulayam's slogan is ' humm toh doobenge aur humm sabh ko doobhayenge'!!!!

The speed came from dope and chucking!!! Shoaib always gave a 'dopey' look!!!! His teammates attributed the dopey look to the special low sugar diet he was on!!! ICC should ban him for at least six years!!!! V. Thulasidas, CMD, Air India. The FIA will also take matters relating to private airports well.Its founder members who attended the meeting were .V.Thulasidas- CMD Air India,.Vishwapati Trivedi -MD Indian Airlines.Naresh Goel Chairman and Wolfgang Prockshaeur CEO both from Jet Airways,DR.Vijay Mallya -Chairman Kingfisher Airlines,Capt Gopinath Chairman Air Deccan,.Alok Sharma CEO Sahara Airlines,.Jeh Wadia Chairman Go Air
airlines .Thiagarajan Chairman Paramount airlines,Mr.Siddhant Sharma CEO and .Ajay Singh both from Spicejet and .Steve from Indigo airlines.The FIA to be based will be registered under the Societies Act and based in Delhi.For appointing its DG an HR Consultant will be approached.Thulasidas said that for initial six months FIA will hold monthly meetings and then ever quarter federation's members will meet.All passengers and cargo airlines in India will be eligible to become its members subject to the condition they are scheduled airlines.Initial corpus of the FIA is Rs.5 crore and annual membership will be other than this.

Finally 1981 batch IRS(IT) officer Maya Sinha has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Jawahar Lal Nehru Port. She is expected to take over next week.
