Regarding transfers in Income tax dept it is a fact that the Senior
Officer who is tipped to be Ombudesman ,is trying for Delhi Posting only and throughout
his/her career has hardly moved out of Delhi And if posted outside only to places
within 100 Km of Delhi. Some officers of 1973 batch have already started doing
Ganesh Parikrama for Delhi posting inspite of their long stay in Delhi and nearby
places, where as officers from East are thrown to South and vice versa
In
CCIT conference one officer lamented about the fate of the department where more
than 90% of the officers at the fag end of their service are thrown to far off
places and are disgusted. What use of this transfer policy is where officers are
not able even to speak the language of the place of their posting and are supposed
to serve the people.

Government tender notices will be a rare thing

Madhya Pradesh soon. Wipro Ltd has clinched a deal for developing
the state government's electronic tendering project, which will not involve any
cost to the state government.
Wipro will set up a data centre at the Madhya
Pradesh Agency for
Promoting Information Technology (MAPIT) and bear the project
cost,
according to a government source, and a fee will be paid to the company
out of the amount charged from participants in e-tenders.
Unwired project
to be rolled out early next year
The Bangalore unwired project will be
rolled out by the end of January or early February. In a phased manner, it will
cover 679 square kilometres. By the next edition of Bangalore IT.IN, the entire
