FORUM

These comments are relevant not only for the IT but also for the CBEC. No amount of reasoning, logic even cajoling has any effect on the top brass.and to think that it is the present fm who had framed the policy of husband wife being posted together. in our service new states like Uttaranchal has no posts for commissioners does that mean that we cannot be with our spouses coz according to the policy if one has put in 10 years in a zone then one cannot be posted back to the zone i may add that the zone envisages the country into 4 impermable zones north south east and west eg north would mean entirenorth belt ie .Rajasthan, Punjab up Uttranchal, West wld mean Maharastra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, south wld comprise of all the southern states etc so in ones lifetime one would have covered some nearby states to be 'near the family ' but the policy will not allow u to be posted any where near ur family. This is forcing officers to look for godfathers talk of transparency in the system
Shantanu

In customs and excise in the North East the Chief Commissioner, All the Four Commissioners, and ninety percent of Group A Officers are working without their family. So much for the New Transfer policy.
A serving officer

The CBDT and the people at the top are obsessed with a transfer policy that is serving no one`s purpose, but is uprooting all officers and transferring them away from their families, the result is chaos as 20% of the class-I officers in the service are staying away from their families and are availing whatever leaves etc. they can muster. Contrast the situation with Rajiv Gandhi`s time. He not only made provision for 5-day week but also made policy decision for same station posting for couple cases thereby valuing the family bond and encouraging bringing up of children by government servants by providing opportunities for family to be together to the extent possible. It is hoped that government of the day realises this sooner or later.
Serving bureaucrat
Why is corruption so rife in the IRS(Income Tax) and IRS(Customs) followed closely by the IPS? Why can't these Services follow the IAS/IForeignS and emulate their peers in the IAS/IForeignS who are known for their probity and rectitude? Maybe it is time that the CVC undertake an exercise to rid these Services of their black sheep!

Sonia did not get her right position because of a Forbes blunder,
How Nooyi and some others could come before Sonia….. now no need to wonder????

Forbes defines Sonia as......'Sonia Gandhi heads the left-leaning party of Jawaharlal Nehru, where she acts as opposition leader to Singh, the pro-business prime minister'……. whereas Sonia is the de facto PM of India !!!! Had they taken Sonia's real status into consideration she would have come in the top three!!!!

While Sonia is in the Hall of Fame,
Musharaff is now in the Hall of Shame!!!

CEO, President for his Life ,General Musharaff is now amongst the top Ten Dictators of the World!!!! The list, compiled by Britain's New Statesman magazine, describes Musharraf as "an undemocratic ruler with whom the West has a long-standing marriage of convenience". The final nail in the coffin is the statement - "Despite a global fear of dictators running amok, the only people they tend to harm are their own."

Now Nitish has come to know that how Laloo and Rabdi get inside info,
And where he goes they also go!!!

After relinquishing Office Rabdi has still not handed High Frequency Wireless Set she had when she was CM!!!! Now she keeps tabs on Nitsh's movements by snooping in on the Wireless communications!!! And when Laloo is in Patna he too spends hours and hours listening in!!!! And they use the info they garner for political purposes... being one up on Nitish!!! But they say when Laloo or Rabdi listen in to the communications they become very emotional…… after all they both are still hurting form the loss of power in Bihar!!!

India Today Poll seems to have got it wrong……Punjab's haalath is not as projected,
If Punjab is doing so well then why with Amrinder are Punjabis so dejected????

Fact is the spurt in Land prices all over India is the engine that is fuelling Prosperity and Consumer spending!!!! Because of Amrinder's 'Mega Blunders' Farmers are selling their land and then getting into 'idle' lifestyles…… Punjab leads in consumption of booze and drugs!!!! Infrastructure is more on the drawing board than in reality!!!! In a few years the effects of Amrinder's Mega blunders will start showing up!!!! Like the Forbes misjudged Sonia and placed her below her actual status similarly India Today Poll has misjudged Punjab however they've placed Punjab on the top!!! And by the way if Punjab is leading then why is all the investment going elsewhere????

There is no doubt BJP has lost ground,
BJP should listen to what Jaitley is saying for a turnaround!!!

Stop infighting….. stop being jumping jacks, which means jumping on every issue that comes!!! Pick issues and take them to a logical conclusion!!! Presently BJP takes up a issue and when the next one comes BJP forgets the issue in hand and jumps at the newcomer!!! If BJP wants to stage a comeback then they need get someone like Vajpayee and while they are searching they should get Vajpayee back at the helm!!!!

ED has sent Notices to Nut , his son and son's associate,
Will Nut now going to spew more venom and hate???

After receiving the Notices all the recipients have gone into a huddle….. they've got to reply by Sept. 14……… seems Amar Singh is going continue to act as PRO….Public Ranting Officer!!! Nut's initial reaction is the ED is trying to defame him….. he says via the Notices Congress wants to defang him!!!
