FORUM

It is interesting to watch the battle raging about posting of IRS(IT) officers in the wake of the recent transfers. One is left wondering if the motive for this is purely humanitarian, or, whether the underlying cause is the revenue potential(?)and the vested interests.

B John

I do not know who has made this totally insensitive comment. The person has no idea of what he is talking about perhaps he is a confirmed bachelor having no family parents wife children and can safely relocate to any place at the whims of the powers that be if I had known a politician I would be with my family and on what bases does he say that corruption is most rife in the IRS, what about the IAS, IPS, Railways, Defence because these are not high lighted does not mean that other services are doodh ka dhula. In fact the IAS is the bane of our society and the main hurdle in the development of our country/ distressed

Shantanu

The revenue services are the few services where you do not need permission of the state 's machinery (read political) to check on somebody. When you ask for permission -the file may be lost or never come back.
In central services this is permission is very quick. More central services officers may be caught. but being caught does not necessarily mean that they are more corrupt and the rest are Harishchandras. It only means they are more vulnerable.
Visit the state capitals poshest areas in UP and you would immediately know who is THE MOST CORRUPT!
OBSERVOR OF THE REVENUE OBSERVOR

IRS (Customs and Excise) is a small cadre of about 2000 officers collecting a revenue of two lakh crores. Their working conditions are dismal. Even after twenty five years of service, many of the officers have to travel in hired Indicas. Majority of the places have scant accommodation. For all other services including IAS, IFS, IPS, Railways etc. transfer is between the state/zone and Delhi. Today more than 50 officers of Joint Secretary rank are staying alone, without family. Majority of them are honest, upright, hardworking and highly qualified. They include MBAs from IIMs, PhDs and Masters in Law. The transfer policy has hit badly only Group A officers. The lower rung to which Mr. Vittal made a reference enjoys status quo and so does the reputation of the department. Thus, the captains in the field comprising of 2% of the strength of the department having 60,000 work force are alone affected by the much hyped policy and are demoralized and battered. Thus, the policy needs a reconsideration before it is too late.

Sujoy Chandrasekharan

Their transfer policy has been brought about by the shameful incident of bribing by IRS officers for transfer. Such instances abound in the IRS(Customs) and IRS(Income Tax). The IPS has its own Telgi case to be shamed face about. Why can't these services emulate the IAS and Foreign Service and hold their heads high in the service of the nation instead of indulging in skullduggery?

Pawar Sahib 'kaay jhaala' (Marathi for what happened)????
Pathetic if Pawar Sahib ne apna haath iss dirt mein thaa dalaa!!!

Telgi in the Narco Analysis test has done an NCP……Named Chagan and Pawar!!! He says that Politicians were the backbone of his operation…… was NCP the backbone in Maharashtra??? Of course Pawar is going to say that how can an accused make accusations…….. well for his info this is not an accusation but a revelation under scientific interrogation!!! Of course as per the Court's orders such revelations have to be backed by corroborating evidence…….and as CBI has already clean chitted Pawar , Pawar is in the clean where the law is concerned….. public perception of course has changed!!!!! Ball is now in Pawar's court to clear his name in Public!!!!

They say there is more turns in the Jarkhand turncoat story,
After being gung ho now UPA Managers have started to worry!!!!

UPA has flown its MLAs , including the turncoats, to an undisclosed destination!!!! In the mean time Speaker Naamdhari will be pronouncing his verdict very soon on applications for disqualification after he receives replies from the three MLAs in question. Of course UPA Managers are confident that when Governor Razi ho razi then they've won half the baazi.... its now the other half that is worrying them!!!!

They say BJPs getting its house in order,
Taste of power really created disorder!!!!

Can BJP go back to being the Cadre based Party of yore???? Its very difficult……. effects of power are irreversible!!!! For getting the Party in order first and foremost they need to find a Leader who commands and not demands respect…… till they do this they can get Vajpayee back at the helm…. he still commands the most respect in BJP. They have to get their Agenda firmed up and decide on a USP!!!!

Sukhbir says he has the unpublished parts of the India Today Poll,
And he advises Amrinder ke he should 'tholl moll ke boll'!!!!

There is no doubt that if a poll is done in Punjab Amrinder will come out as one of the worst and most unpopular CMs Punjab has had!!!! Seems his ads in newspapers have done nothing for him!!!! Fact is how can a CM who prefers to stay away form the people be popular!!!! Punjab CMs are known for their contact with the masses!!!! The writing on the wall is abs clear…. Aishi Raaj of Aishi Amrinder is coming to an end!!!! Good riddance!!!

Andaleeb Sehgal tried it and got a boot form the Supreme Court,
Seems Nut will get the same retort!!!

Nut's lawyers are planning to file a Suite to challenge EC's actions!!!! As per info ED has enough material to nail Nut and Jagat and his associates!!! As per revelations seems this was Jagat's misadventure!!! Congress has expelled Jagat from Congress and Papa Nut has been kept in animated suspension…… this may be the cause for Nut's animation….. as of today Nut 'naa idhar ka raha na udhar ka'!!!

Vande Matram………….. Mother, mother mine!Mother sweet, I bow to thee,
Mother great and free!
May India become Saare Jahaan se achcha very soon for the World to see!!
