How ACC overules DoPT (and the PM)?: Namita Dutta's (IAS, 1991,AGMUT) application for deputation to World Bank was turned down by DoPT because she had already completed 6 years in USA and as per PM's latest directive this is not permitted. But due to intervention from some senior Cabinet Ministers and Cabinet Secretary, her file was called for and DOPT overturned by ACC. She has been posted as Governance Advisor at World Bank, Washington DC.

Army gives all those who want to serve the Nation an equal opportunity…..can patriotism and fitness be compromised at the alter of reservation??? Reservation would mean compromising on the basic qualities required for joining the Army…. there is no reservation when it comes to laying down lives for the Nation so there cannot be reservation for joining the line (Army)….the means have to be same as the end!!!
