IAS and foreign trips !
A senior IAS Officer in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation is again in the news for wrong reasons. Strangely the Ministry of Finance rejoices in violating its own economy instructions by deputing an officer to foreign jaunts. In the present case a senior IAS officer has been allowed by the Ministry of Finance to visit USA for the fifth time during his last two years tenure in the Ministry. He is going to attend a conference on Statistics which is primarily the concern of Statisticians. Are the statistical officers in the Ministry of Statistics devoid of any expertise!

It seems the writer Mr. AK is suffering from "IAS"( I am Stupid) mania because he over praised IAS service and look down upon the other equally important services. Needless to say how much important and valuable role is played by each of all the non -IAS services in the making of this country, its security and its sustained progress.

It not only shows the arrogance and hatred of an official but also clearly indicates how low an IAS officer like him can think of his other service fellows. Officer like you discredit such a premier service. You need to be more educated, cultured and trained once again in Mussourie Academy to learn basic etiquette, manner and " esprit de corps". We pity on you Mr. A.K, may God gives you wisdom!
