Retirement age should be reduced to 55

I fully agree to the views of A.K.SINGH in reducing the retirement age to 55 years as we are a country of youth representing almost 60% of the total population, therefore it is high time we give the younger generation the oppurtunity to take India ahead. The policy should not be changed for the benefit of a few people at the top who have got used to the power and perks which they are unwilling to leave. The reduction in retirement age can be further substantiated by the fact that after the age of 50 yrs the government has a provision to carry out a for fitness test through a medical board or otherwise of the government servant for continuing in service. The logic for having this board has to be understood.

Raise the retirement age to 65

There is every need to raise the retirement age of Govt. employees to 65 yrs as even the private sector is also utilizing the services of experienced persons beyond 60 yrs. It is felt that the experience should not be allowed to go waste. In the Western countries, they allow the govt. servents to serve even beyond 65 yrs. Kindly inform when the orders for raising the retirement age of Govt. employees are expected to be issued.

A proud resident of BIMARU states write

Who is that gentleman or fair lady Radhikui? What authority he has to call the people from BIMARU states as people of mean mentality and double standards? Does it not reflect volumes on his own mentality Do we have some limitations on the freedom of expression or any body can spit venom on one entire region of the country by misusing this freedom of expression. My proposal is that such persons should be boycotted for ever from writing anything in this column to retain the credibility which has been hard earned by Dr. Mehrotra with painstaking efforts in decades.

TAIL-PIECE

A sick man turned to his doctor. As the doctor was preparing to leave the examination room he said, "Doctor, I am afraid to die.
Tell me what lies on the other side."

Very quietly, the doctor said, "I don't know."

"You don't know? You...... a Christian man, do not know what is on the other side?"

The doctor was holding the handle of the door; on the other side came a sound of scratching and whining and as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room and leaped on him with an eager show of gladness.

Turning to the patient, the doctor said, "Did you notice my dog?
He's never been in this room before. He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here and when the door opened, he sprang in without fear. I know little of what is on the other side of death, but I do know one thing...... I

know my Master is there and that is enough."

May today there be peace within you.
May you trust God that you are exactly

Where you are meant to be.

I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet
When our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

In fact Mulayam and Amar are two little piggies scared that they'll be blown away,
For them BJP, BSP and Congress are the big bad wolves jo karr rahe hai SP ko waylay!!

BJP, BSP and Congress are huffing and puffing,
Both piggies are scared and confidence they are just bluffing!!!

One piggie is not keeping too well and the other is running scared,
He knows that how badly SP has fared!!!

At present seems BJP and BSP are running neck to neck,
And Congress is a growing speck!!!

Congress has everything crossable crossed that it'll end up as Maker de King,
Hum honge kaamyaab in UP in unison Congressis sing!!!

Despite Amma's wish Chanda Mama Mulayam,
Nahi rehe ga UP ke gagan mein kaayam!!

But this is sure that post UP Polls matters will move fast,
First Central Cabinet will be recast!!!

Rahul Baba may ultimately get a Cabinet berth,
Get an oppurtunity to prove his worth!!

If Congress does not become the King Maker in UP,
Then in the Alliance Congress on account of UP loss will be Under Pressure or UP!!!

Seems Goa too will exit Congress's kitty,
And Congress seems least bothered and that's a real pity!!!

In Goa too NCP is proving to be a pain,
In the entire region now NCP is fast becoming Congress's bane!!

Congress will be asked by the people to take a Siesta for five years,
Seems in State after State Congress is going into reverse gears!!!

President Kalam has not ruled out a second term….. is waiting,
Waiting for UP results as he's debating!!!

He definitely deserves to become President a second time,
And his health is still in the prime!!!

Congress should beware….. Pawar is up to some tricks,
Some old Congress wounds he still licks!!

His becoming PM dream is alive and kicking,
And that's why Congress should be wary of him tricking!!!

He's been holding parleys with Congress's adversaries on the emerging trends,
To every Congress adversary ear he lends!!

He instructed R.R. Patil to help out Amar Singh's mooh bolla Bhai in a recent case,
Instruction was that this person should not loose face!!!

All of a sudden the Cops went into overdrive,
From comatose they became alive!!!

Congress needs to work on bringing Pawar back down to Mother Earth,
How about shifting him out of Agriculture and giving him the Sports berth????

Though on account of coalition compulsions this taking place is next to impossible,
But then they also say in Politics anything is possible!!

His handling of the Agriculture Ministry leaves a lot to be desired,
In fact his performance warrants that he be fired!!!

Make him and Laloo swap Ministries,
Maybe then we'll solve Laloo's performance and Pawar's under performance mysteries!!

Another mystery is the SUV that Pawar rides… he's declared that he has no car,
But then on using an SUV of a friend there is no bar!!!

Nowadays Dullo plucks petals saying 'will he come back or will he not come back'!!!
Keeps calling Delhi to find out if Amrinder ne apna boriya bistar kiya hai pack!!!

Amrinder on the other hand would like to stay on in Dilli,
And he keeps saying ' merri tabiyat hai dhilli (Punjabi for not feeling too good)'!!!

Seems the Chandigarh Administration is in for a shock,
A land acquisition scandal bahut jaldi karre ga unko rock!!

There's even talk of a CBI investigation into the matter,
With every passing day the accusations ki file gets fatter!!

Kalamadi should be told that you bid for Olympics only after performing,
And Indian has been grossly underperforming !!

Tell him to see the record of Countries who have hosted the Games,
Every games all that we've got is 'shame shames'!!!

Our medal tally does not commiserate with our population and size,
Making a bid would be unwise!!

The money spent on bidding would be a waste and could be used for promoting sports,
And not to prop up the egos of Kalamadi and his cohorts!!
