make this month an uphappy spell of disasters, turmoil and violence
.An assembly of Saturn, Sun, Mercury and Ketu in Leo may cause an upsurge
in violent activities all over the globe. It also indicates natural
disasters like floods, earthquake, Tsunami and big accidents. As this
assembly in Leo is accompanied by Mars in Taurus, Venus in Cancer, Jupiter
in Scorpio and Rahu in Capricorn the month of our independence may not
exactly be a memorable time. Those in Police and security must remain
alert. Threats on prominent personalities may increase. Media will witness
a lot of dirty linens being washed. Politicians and political parties
will indulge in mud-slingimg on each other .Civil servants may also
get embroiled in these cross-fires. In India a few state governments will find themselves on sticky wickets. Not only political goings-on but natural disasters ,threats of terrorist violence, accidents and scandals may bother them this month. Fortunes may fluctuate for some of those occupying high-places. FORUM What is the use of ten percent growth Recent police firing on poor people of Mudigonda, Khammam District
must make us hang our heads in shame. It looks so pointless to fight
over matters like inter service seniority, deputation, foreign courses,
name of service when poor people of Andhra Pradesh who were merely demanding
house sites for themselves were instantaneously killed in police firing
.What is the use of 10% growth rate when majority of people remain unaffected
and poor people are entitled to bullets only even in a fast developing
state like AP. Crores of rupees being spent on training of civil servants
appears to be going down the drain as lethal mob control measures continue
to be in vogue. Why is it that life saving responses of citizens become
problem areas for those who are supposed to serve them. Instead of sending
officers on foreign training courses they should be sent to villages
once in every five years to atleast see the conditions in which majority
of people live so that they are sensitised and do not behave in a brutal
and inhuman manner when faced with even a" stone pelting mob". Railway Minister should follow the rule Railway Minister should follow the rule. One who has two years left should become CRB as done in the past like in the case of RK Singh and even present CRB Batra. K K Verma Let us not insult our seniors Rakesh seems to be a frustated young man. He has forgotten that he will also become dead wood some day. Let us not insult our seniors. He should go and meet some of the Government officers who are retiring and observe their knowledge and wisdom only than one can make out what the Govt. actually looses. It is our old mentality to blame others for our own failures. If one is capable enough, there is no dearth of jobs in our country. The attitude of pulling somebody down for climbing up need to go. Learn to face competition, it is part of our lives now. Ravi IRS should thank their stars When one compares IAS and IRS, it becomes apparent that the IAS suffer the Politicians throughout their life ... a very undesirable option. The IRS should thank their stars as they are above all such pigmy politicians whom IAS salute from day one.
