Why officers are resigning ?

I have been reading in this column about many officers, primarily from the IAS, who are resigning or taking VR and immediately joining the private sector in seemingly lucrative jobs. I am under the impression that there is a cooling-off period for such employment. Is this being flexed or a blind eye being turned toward it? Or is it that these officers are not bothered about informing the GOI of their new offers; equally GOI is not unduly worried about the officers' failure. Or is it that those who give the clearances are themselves seeking favours from these officers?

Sanjay Dutt a victim of circumstances

Sanjay Dutt is a victim of circumstances. Little did he realise while acquiring the weapons, that one day he will have to pay dearly for this. This time he is alone, with his father who stood behind him solidly all through, is no more and therefore, suffering is more. Without commenting on the judgment in the case, it is felt that he suffered immensely in the last 14 years, out of which 12 years he was being tried for being a terrorist, which he is not. His agony in this period can only be imagined.
WAY AHEAD : We all pray that a lenient view is taken by the apex court, when his application seeking bail/probation comes before it. Sanjay Dutt should not lose heart. There is a silver lining in every cloud and there is pain after rain and rain after pain. As he is a great believer in destiny and GOD, he should realise that something better is in store for him. Remember the soaring of his career graph once he came out of the jail last time. Thereafter many good things have happened in his life, Gandhigiri being one of them. The concerned authorities/powers to be, who control his life, till a decision is taken by the apex court, should realise that in him they have a charismatic persona who can have tremendous effect on the jail inmates. Instead of entrusting him with routine jail jobs, his potential can be utilised in shaping the lives of thousands of jail inmates. Let him interact with them every day, in jail after jail and see the results. As part of his probation terms, he may be allowed to complete his unfinished assignments by working in films for a week or two every month. Let Sanjay Dutt cover maximum jails in the country during his term imparting Gandhigiri to them. He should realise that why he is the chosen one ? Because God wants him to bring change in the lives of thousands/lacs of prisoners, who like him are victim of circumstances. His name will shine more than ever, if he is able to achieve this.

This should be answered

IR has apparently done well, that's what we have been told. However, much of it has been clever stage management. Conveniently 17000 Cr infusion by Nitish Kr in strengthening infra has been forgotten. Infusion of this amount of money and a globally exuberant economy has contributed to the 'turnaround'. Also the board which was behind this had formidable giants like m/s Ghosh Dastidar, Jaruhar, Sivadasan-but their sterling contribution has been conveniently forgotten. It has been seen that mantri ran the ministry more like bihar and also cut out the access of the board to him-to the extent the CRB himself was cut out from the mantri. The OSD dipped deep in to the rank and file and weakened the system by bypassing the members. The system of patronage has been taken to new heights as whatever little professionalism has been left, the clever OSD saw to it that mantri gets favourable feedback of a loyalist than a professional. Why else has the facts suppressed to a level that officers with a tainted past got elevation? When Jena became MS, issue of cases against him was flagged in TV channels. Then we saw his name being recommended for the post of CRB. When issue of vigilance cases got raised, and the file returned back, it is learnt that CVC could not give him a clean chit. I agree with Rathnam that problem lies with people who have allowed system to be manipulated. two consecutive CRBs have come on two year rule. why exceptions are being made this time around, the system has been manipulated to the extent of giving vigilance clearance to someone with pending vigilance cases, vigilance cases where punishment was given. This should be answered by someone. Interestingly the department which gives vigilance clearance is under Jena!!!

IAS and non-IAS

All IAS officers have not passed the same examination. Different officers have taken different subjects starting from literature, science arts engineering etc. The reason being that if an officer is good in a particular area he may be good in other area. So any officer after a particular level of experience can handle. Even given chance, a few non IAS officer may prove to be better than IAS.

Had Kalam been in Office would Goa Speaker have got away???
But sadly in Rashtrapathi Bhavan no longer does Kalam stay!!!

Kalam was objective ……. now its no longer so!!!
Now seems to Opposition's demands it's the dharma of Rashtrapati Bhavan to say no!!!

Now we know what Madam President meant when she said she'll be a ' Political President'!!!
In Rashtrapathi Bhavan during her stint politics will also be a resident!!

BJP should take this to its logical end… Speaker's decision was malified!!!
Show that be it Speaker's role or democratic norms ….. all he defied!!!

Court and protests are the only two avenues available!!!
Fact is even today Goa Government is unstable!!!

CBI has arrested cholewala turned millionaire!!!
What will CBI try to bare????

Will CBI try to find a BJP connection…… question many karr rahe hai ask???
Congress would of course try to put Delhi BJP in Cholewaala's cask!!

But Cholewaala's car-o-baar or karobaar or business has left all astounded!!!
And now some more of his accomplices are going to be rounded!!!

The scam is estimated to be to the tune of 5000 crores.....multi crore Cholewaala!!
Cholewaala ne quite a few Congressis ko mushkil mein hai daala!!!

"Sukhbir was in nappies when I entered politics", Amrinder says!!!
But what does Amrinder do himself nowadays!!!

Rumours abound that off and on Amrinder has to wear an adult diaper!!!
Especially when Sukhbir or VB's names are taken because then he becomes hyper!!

Sukhbir took Amrinder on when Amrinder was beating Opposition laal and neela!!!
Now many say to take on Sukhbir Amrinder's gone peela!!!

No longer does he use abusive language for the Badal Senior or Junior!!!
In fact nowadays he does not even talk about Badal Senior!!!

In Haryana now Bansi Lal's electorate is up for grabs!!!
Hooda, Bhajan, Chautala and even Maya on this electorate are keeping tabs!!!

Bansi's late son Surinder was seen as an heir…none of the others could stake claim!!!
Seems this is 'The End' of the Bansi flame!!!

Sonia's got to take decisions on reshuffles galore!!!!!
Some interchanges, some promotions, some inductions and some shown the door!!!

And then by the month end she's off to South Africa on a 'Diplomatic Safari'!!!
In the Delhi 's power circles there is lot of maara maari!!!

Have to hand it to her….. she's now the unquestionable Queen!!!
And mind you I'm not being mean!!!

The President and PM are her 'fans' and the Congress Party is a picture of servility!!!
This just shows Sonia's ability!!!

Now Sonia's next test in Gujarath elections!!
Where seems Congress is going to give a fight as per projections!!

As per BJP's own psephology only 12% seats are safe,
Seats that they can consider to be in BJPs' safe!!!

And now with Modi facing an upheaval from within Congress stands to gain!!!
From left and right accusations on Modi ho rahi hai rain!!!

Lets see if Jaitley can bring things back to even keel!!!
For starters why doesn't he get all on the table for a meal???

Sanju being absolved of TADA could be questioned in Supreme Court!!!
Why has he been absolved when the gun suppliers have been charged under TADA SC may retort???

Imagine the Lady who stored the guns for three hours prior to delivery has got 10 saal!!!
And must have done it just to make some maal!!!

Of course Aussies would turn down Haneef's Honorary Citizen request!!!
And mind you Aussies in this matter know best!!!

By the way why did he feel he deserved this honour!!!
He's still not been absolved of dishonour!!!

And our PM need not retaliate…… Muslims are already the favourite flavour!!!!
Rest look at this as vote bank politics… to get their votes Sarkaar karr rahi hai Mulsims ko favour!!

In the US it's expected the sub-prime downturn could have a domino effect!!
Other finance markets will also correct.

Some say this correction will last for two weeks whereas others say for two years!!!
On the Bull run being over many express fears!!

Sell at every spurt....... be liquid for the time being!!!
Of course this would not mean that from the market you are fleeing!!!

Save your investments to invest and make profits another day!!!
There's a time to stay and there's a time to stay away!!!
