Who will be Secretary Telecom ?
Who will succeed D S Mathur as Secretary Telecom on January 1 ?.One rumour says that this time the post will go to ITS. Another source said that the post will go only to the IAS. Anil Ambani and Sunil Mittal have reportedly sponsored their own candidates for the post. Telecom Minister Raja and the DMK will however have a say on this prestigious appointment. One can only wait and watch.

Manju Madhavan seeks VRS
Member (Finance) Telecom Commission, Manju Madhavan, has sought VRS from February 6.What led to Manju Madhavan to take such a decision ?.Only PMO can conduct an inquiry.

Rajasthan Police reforms initiative with MIT, USA

Rajasthan Police has undertaken a massive reform initiative in association with the world famous Massachusettes Institute of Technology, (MIT)USA. Under this, interventions at the police station level, such as stability of tenure, rosterisation of duties, weekly off, outreach programme called community observer are being evaluated scientifically. Also a massive capacity building drive aiming at enhancement of investigative and soft skills is currently underway in 150 police stations of 10 districts.The motivating force behind this is the DGP Rajasthan A.S.Gill, ably assited by the Harvard educated IPS officer and currently IG Personnel in Rajasthan Police,Ms.Nina Singh. Prof. Esther Duflo of MIT, USA is co-ordinating from the MIT side.

Very funny! An IAS officer made Secretary of Army Welfare. It is a fact that the post of Cabinet Secretary is reserved for an IAS officer because he has the district experience. On the same analogy, the post of Secretary Army Welfare should have gone to an Army Man. IAS lobby has been snatching away key secretary level posts which should have been filled by a technocrat.
