Concept of Family Pension should be abolished

The Pay Commission should abolish the concept of family pension. The flawed logic is that upon the death of the pensioner all needs become half and therefore the pension must be halved too. It does not factor in rising medical expenses of the surviving spouse, inability to queue at government hospitals, establishment costs, transport etc. that only increases with age. Food at an advanced age is hardly cause to reduce the pension by half! Let the full pension continue till the spouse is no more and other dependents no longer meet dependency criteria. This should also be applicable to families of employees dying in harness.

TAIL-PIECE

Its all about Wives

My wife dresses to kill. She also cooks the same way.

************

My wife and I were happy for twenty years. Then we met.

************

A good wife always forgives her husband when she's wrong .

************

I bought my wife a new car. She called and said, "There was water in the carburetor."

I asked her, "Where's the car?"

She replied, "In the lake."

************

The secret of a happy marriage remains a secret.

************

I haven't spoken to my wife in 18 months - I don't like to interrupt her.

************

My girlfriend told me I should be more affectionate.

So I got myself two girlfriends.

************

Man is incomplete until he is married. Then he is finished.

************

A little boy asked his father, "Daddy, how much does it cost to get married?"

The father replied, "I don't know son, I'm still paying."

************

A man placed an ad in the classifieds: "Wife wanted."

The next day he received a hundred letters.

They all said the same: "You can have mine."

*************

It's not true that married men live longer than single men.

It only seems longer.

*************

Losing a wife can be very hard. In my case, it was almost impossible.

*************

A man meets a genie. The genie tells him he can ask for whatever he wants, but his mother-in-law gets double of what he gets.

The man thinks for a moment and says, Okay, give me a million dollars and beat me till I'm half dead."

**************

The most effective way to remember your wife's birthday is to forget it once.

HP too is going the Gujarat way!!!
Congress has done nothing Himachalis say.

Himachalis say , 'Chuski le le ke Virbhadra ne piya power ka jaam'!!
Siraf kiya apna aur apno ka kaam!!!

Nothing can save Congress in Himachal Pradesh!!
This from HP is the very clear sandesh!!!

So the year will end on a very sour note for the Congress Party!!!
And BJP will have every reason to party!!!

Now the 24x7 Media is trying its level best to spoil BJP's party!!!
They are saying that win is for Modi and not for the Party!!!

In Gujarat Modi is BJP's face and he's done BJP proud!!!
This tumultous victory 24x7 Media is trying to cloud!!

And if there is a power tussle then it shows the Party is alive and kicking!!
Now like Congressis who many would say do 'single shoe licking'!!!

But BJP must see in the horizon the omenous clouds and should react!!!
With earnest resolve BJP should act!!!

Rahul should kick out his 'cutlery' who've caused him a loss of image!!
Caused him considerable damage!!

Public no longer falls for single lines in the local lingo or bhaasha!!!
Neta can use translator but should speak on thier aasha (expectation)!!!

Dramabazi also is easily detected by the Pubic and they scorn on dramabaazi!!
And then via the EVM they express their naraazi!!!

Rahul should use the positive approach!!
And only development and solutions to problems in his speeaches he should broach!!!

He should let his minions in Congress play the blaming game!!!
In his speeches the Opposition he should not even name!!!

He's a decent lad and if I may say in the wrong job!!!
So how about blowing in a whiff of fresh air rather than the usual fib and fob!!

Try to bring in true socio capitalism!!!
Your politics should not reek of pseudo oppurtunism!!!

India Today has stood by the Karat Interview!!
And confirmed Karat's 'drop the Deal or face midterm poll' view!!!

Basically it seems (indirect) power has gone to Karat's head!!!
He feels he can shoot the Deal dead!!

Or maybe whenever he has Nandigram nightmares!!!
He starts issuing dares!!!

He's flushed his Marwick image down the drain!!!!
In fact now some go to extent of questioning ' Isn't he insane'???

Rajdeep Sardesai and Barkha Dutt are Indian Journalism's bane!!
Many journalists say their journalism is journalism of gain!!!

Many journalists say that both feel they can make or break a Sarkaar!!!
They say both feel they are the difference between jeeth and haar!!

And 24x7 Media's psephology is nothing but guess work!!!
But more often their biased mindset plays havoc with their work!!

Modi has hit both for a six!!!
Serves them right because poltics, selfish gains and journalism kiya dono ne mix!!!

The march past during the DMK jamboree was one big joke!!!
And gloved Stalin looked like one funny bloke!!

They say Karuna is going to handover his goggles to Stalin and make him Chief!!
His older son is going to be in grief!!!

Maybe his older son will now go to Marans and try to become pally!!
And try to reduce Stalin's supporters tally!!

Another Thackrey fracas may ensue and Karuna is already in trouble!!!
With Vijaykant and Sharad trying to prick the DMK bubble!!

Amma is keenly watching the situation and send feelers to the grumpy beta!!!
And what a scoop it'll be if this grumpy beta becomes an AIADMK Neta???

CBI's going slow on getting the statement of a witness who saw Tytler incite a mob!!!
If you ask me CBI's doing 'its job'!!!

This witness should depose in a US Court and also submit his identity proof!!!
Pre-empt CBI from its Operation Goof!!!

Pre-empt CBI form taking justice for a ride!!
And then let the Indian Court decide!!

In early 2008 I feel a big correction in Stocks all over the World will take place!!!
For a 'black day' apne aap ko karro brace!!!!

Very soon errors, excesses and greed are going to catch up and cause pain!!!
At present Markets have gone insane!!!

Confucius says……. Such a phenomenal rise has made Stock prices unrealistic!!!
Markets will plummet and then move up to a level that's realistic!!!

Lobbying for power sector posts starts?

Lobbyists in the National Capital these days are fighting tough battle with each other to lure the prospective candidates for the top posts in the power sector. These include those who claim proximity to No.10. The modus operandi is common. Pay some initial amount to be followed by bulk payment on selection.
Candidates are finding it difficult to decide about the genuine strength of each lobbyist. An ex-CMD of a PSU, who was very close to late Rajiv Gandhi is attracting more candidates since he reportedly is a part of the inner coterie. REC, NTPC and Powergrid posts on board.
