Aaja Nachle hurts

The lines in Aaja Nachle hurts, as Mochi is shown to be lowly. In schools, villages and neighbourhoods some people just could sing these lines to hurt the members of Mochi community. And it happens. Unless some one lives in the areas of narrow caste conflicts or belong to such community, it is difficult to understand the agony that a dalit member can undergo. I have suffered in schools where certain stories are taught by the teacher underscoring the stupitidiy or lowliness of a downtrodden, while the entire class looks at you pointing out if I were not like the same person in the story.

Rules are meant for weak

The enforcement of rules are very week in Government. Powerful Bureacrats will not go back inspite of Nitish Govts letters to DOPT.The rules are enforced for lesser mortals. The drama of giving # months extension continues knowing fully well that itis neither here nor there . Let Manmohan Singh apply rules uniformly first before tall talks of better governance.

Information data will collapse if ----

Raaghurane wrote on 3rd December that IRS is worst managed srvice. Perhaps he hoes not know the meaning of worst or has not seen the condition of other services. Management of no service under earth is worse than ISS. In a globalised era where information is power and ISS officers are piling huge information on the basis of which other services have managed to expand their base abd the ISS after 25 years struggling at JAG level.unless their marale is high and they are given the right place, the information system (data base) will collapse.

Home Minister and Home Secretary should review

With regard to Tyagi's comments, I can only say that the same Home Minister & Home Secretary for a change, can also review performances & corruption level of the departments like Rural Development, Registration, Health , Education, Transport, power etc.!

TAIL-PIECE

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Corruption is operationally defined as the misuse of entrusted power for private gain. Like all other colonized countries, India too became a victim of this scourge in post independence days with transfer of power to unmerited hands. Corrupt practices to accumulate wealth came to be recognized as clever aberrations and not as a despicable misdemeanor. Some go on to say that gift giving and taking as part of negotiating and relationship building is a normal tradition in many non-Western cultures. Cultural relativism ends where the Swiss bank account enters the scene. There are limits in all cultures beyond which an action becomes corrupt and unacceptable. In a democracy, the political mandate is given by the people and misusing this publicly entrusted power for private gain is inherently contradictory and irreconcilable with democracy. But temptation remains a challenge anywhere. Facilitation payments, where a bribe is paid to receive preferential treatment for something that the bribe receiver is required to do by law, constitute "according to rule" corruption. A retired Major General visited the office of the Regional Transport Officer fifteen times, for getting a simple job done as he chose out of conviction not to bribe them through an "agent". On the other hand, is a bribe paid to obtain services the bribe receiver is prohibited from providing? A typical example is the recent news report of a raid at the residence of a high ranking Army Ordnance officer, involved in the purchase of 'war like' equipments, unearthing disproportionate assets to a tune of Rupees 50 crores. In order to amass 50 crores, the corrupt officer must have allowed at least 10 times that amount - the nation's precious assets - to be ill gotten by the bribe givers. It is virtually impossible to quantify the cost of corruption since payments of bribes are not publicly recorded. Take for example a power plant being built at a cost of Rs.1000crores. It could be argued that, were it not for corruption, the cost could have been as low as Rs.700 crores. The financial damage to the public would then be Rs.300crores. In practice, quite often projects are planned simply so that those involved can make huge private profits. Assuming that the power plant was superfluous, the financial damage would have to be assessed at Rs.1000crores. In addition all major power plants leave a trail of environmental destruction. The results are increased pollution, a lowering of land prices, resettlement of local residents, an increased debt burden for the country, etc. This calculation is immensely complex. Corruption impacts people's lives in a multitude of ways. It costs lives, freedom, health and money. The lives lost in Uphaar Cinema fire, explosions in unlicensed fireworks factories, bridge and building collapses across the country etc. are all victims of corruption. Turning rainforest into illegal settlements and plantations, destroying the habitat of natural wild life and forest dwellers affects the climate and the economy. The money made by the land grabbers and builders does not flow back into the country's economy . Corruption thrives where temptation coexists with permissiveness. Where institutional checks on power are missing, where decision making remains obscure, where civil society is thin on the ground, where great inequalities in the distribution of wealth condemn people to live in poverty, that is where corrupt practices flourish

Aaj Ki Aawaz

Shouldn't a person prove his mettle and then votes ke liye karre ask???
In the glory of his or her work he or she should bask!!

So shouldn't Rahul first show his mettle and then become Congress's poster boy???
With this idea Sonia should toy!!!

An when 'parachuting to the top' matter hogaya hai settle,
Then why not give him an opportunity to show his mettle!!

Rahul proving his mettle as a vote catcher is of no use to the Nation,
Though within Congress this would cause elation!!!

Congress should have given Rahul Ministerial responsibility,
So that he could prove his ability!!!

And why doesn't Rahul just talk about Desh's future and his plans???
And politicking from his talk and speeches he bans!!!!

All Patels don't support Keshubhai and Patels in Gujarat are not a majority!!!
Sum total is Keshubhai has a following that is only a minority!!!

Yes dissidents may reduce BJP's victory margin but nothing more!!!
And then dissidents have a long political winter in store!!!

Though some dissidents are hoping that Modi will need their help to form Sarkaar!!!
And very soon they'd be sitting in a laal bathi waali car!!!

My problem is that how can Congress point a finger at Modi???
When perpetrators of 1984 riots are having a whale of a time in Congress's godi (lap)!!!

Why don't people who loathe Modi loathe Congress too????
Why don't they read 'When a big tree shook Delhi ' and see what Congress did do???

In the 1984 riots there were many Best Bakeries in Dilli,
When 'a big tree falling' caused a genocide and Dilli thi hilli (shockingly shook)!!!

My fear is if Congress comes to power in Gujarat there will be riots again!!!
Congress is known for lighting fires and then publicly sham praying for rain!!!

Commies demand that Guv Gandhi should be restrained!!
On the Nandigram suffering he should not be pained!!!

The Guv's comments on Nandigram have got Buddha livid or hopping mad!!!
What does Buddha want that on the pain in Nandigram the Guv should look glad???

Buddha now regrets the comment 'we paid them back in the same coin' he made!!!
Fact is in Nandigram humanity and justice by Commies have been waylaid!!

Ramdoss's is abs right in demanding 'Medical Conscription'!!!
To solve lack of medical aid in villages the Doctor has penned the right prescription!!

For enforcement of conscription fine tuning is required!!!!
Because by the 'upper crust' in a lot of controversy this conscription could be mired!!

And his attempt to make smokers realize the ill effects of smoking is commendable!!!
Singapore model and Singapore has found this mode very able!!!

PC says his hands are tied because of compulsions of the numerical kind!!!
And compulsions have put reforms in a bind!!!

But PC ji when you want it you've got your way!!!
Done give and take and price kiya pay!!!

Now it's said Government is opening the Commodity Exchange!!!
Opening the commodity exchange to foreign exchange!!!

Actually India needs to curb commodity speculation and more so with foreign paisa!!!
Speculation will hurt India so nahi honaa chaiye aisa!!!

As expected the SEZ cap has also been relaxed!!!
From the agri bank more land is going to be axed!!!

Slowly but surely India will be totally dependent on food front!!!
And for this we Indians will bear the brunt!!!

Is Manmohan Singh sleeping at the wheel???
Because with all this happening many karr rahe hai aise feel!!

After going mulayam on the 123 Deal now SP seems to have changed track!!!
Now say that Opposition to Deal they'll fully back!!!

What's caused the flip?????
Did Karat use a whip????

Commies can do without SP but SP needs Commies badly!!!
And so on going soft on the Deal SP told Commies that they'd reacted madly!!

Amar is looking for support for Big B and spoke to Karat on this issue!!!
Karat was non committal and just offered Amar a tissue!!!

The US Interest rate cut has already been factored in by Indian Market!!!
On fall of US rates FII's will receive Dollars with instructions 'park it'!!!

But what if Fed does not cut rates!!
Then a big fall in BRIC market awaits!!!

Please keep in mind were earning potential is considered due weightage is given to risk!!!
For risk every investment FIIs frisk!!!

Confucius says… Don't forget the Yen is getting stronger too!!!
Adds….. If Japan raises interest rates then you know what FIIs will do!!!!
