My Choice is Amir Subhani

Amir Subhani ,IAS, currently posted as Secretary to Government , Personnel & AR Department, Government of Bihar, is having all the best attributes of an effecient, impartial and performance-based successful officer, a saint in the state secretariat. He is my obvious choice. He belongs to 1987 batch of the Bihar cadre.

This is sycophant attitude of our system

The entire exercise to nominate a super boss looks another one of those exercises which reminds of the sycophant attitude of our system to IAS. There are very many other individuals within and outside the system whose contribution goes unsung as their name has no tag of IAS. The IAS led bureaucratic system is so akin to Manu's Varna system that it disgusts any intellectual. The entire bureaucracy is divided into different Varnas IAS beings the rule maker Brahmins of this system. Aka Manus system the entry in this Varna system is ensured by birth viz one exam and then no karma can change your varna. This system like Brahamanical system is so well entrenched that despite changes all around it this will continue to thrive as is vindicated by this 'super boss' exercise of yours.

What does this column really need?

I wish this column be utilised effectively for posting one's unbiased opinion which, I believe, would only help one orchestra the finer qualities of an individual, which most grapevines fail to accommodate!

This is the high time of other services----

If officers like Ms. Yadav are being described as one of the best officers by her fellow brethen, what more does one need as proof of the so called "cream" service having a concerted programme of eulogising service mates just for the sake of maintaining the psuedo supremacy over other services. Its high time rest of the services hold up cudgels and make an organised effort to dismantle this fallacy. Your site should also take up the responsibility of contributing towards this fight against a system for restoring a system which enables India to be poised for betterment.

This column is meant for sycophants

AN INNOVATIVE RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE

Put about 100 bricks in some particular order in a closed room with an open window Then send 2 or 3 candidates in the room and close the door. Leave them alone and come back after 6 hours and then analyze the situation & guiding principles may be as below :
If they are counting the bricks.
Put them in the accounts department.
If they are recounting them.
Put them in auditing.
If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks.
Put them in engineering.
If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order.
Put them in planning.
If they are throwing the bricks at each other.
Put them in operations.
If they are sleeping.
Put them in security.
If they have broken the bricks into pieces.
Put them in information technology.
If they are sitting idle.
Put them in human resources.
If they say they have tried different combinations, yet not a brick has
been moved.
Put them in sales.
If they have already left for the day.
Put them in marketing .
If they are staring out of the window.
Put them on strategic planning .
And then last but not least.
If they are talking to each other and not a single brick has been moved
Congratulate them and put them in Top Management.

Aaj Ki Aawaz

Kudos to Punjabis for the Voter turnout and for the peaceful polls,
However Singla , Bhattal and Rana Gurjit Singh stuck out like sore thumbs…. disturbed souls!!!

Despite the rains there was a huge turnout... and despite the bitterness the election were relatively peaceful.... except for some bitter Congressmen!!!! Singla slapped a Official on Election Duty….. Bhattal slapped a Poll Observer….. Rana Gurjit Singh's son and nephews got trigger happy!!! Realizing that Punjabis want a change seemed some Congressmen simply lost it!!! In the evening TV Channels found it difficult to get Congressmen to appear on their Election Talk Shows, even though some Congressmen had committed to appear on the shows!!! Dullo who loves to be photographed got himself photographed pressing the EVM button….. the President of Punjab Congress is oblivious of the basic rules laid down by EC!!! Psephologists may predict a hung Assembly but politicians who are on ground zero know who is going to be blasted out!!!

Amrinder lost his Identification Card ( I Card) and his wifey misplaced hers…… in a tizzy,
Now how to save his skin will keep ex Raja and ex CM very busy!!!

At the last moment Amrinder realized that his I Card was missing….. Election Commission did him a special favour and issued him a duplicate I Card!!! His wifey reached the Polling Booth only to find that she too did not have her I Card….. she then rushed back home and rummaged about and found her I Card!!! Insiders say that as the bad news started pouring in Amrinder got his appointments with various Channels canceled and went into a royal sulk!!! Confucius says ' Like all good things all bad things also come to an end ….. good leaves a sweet taste in the mouth and bad a bitter taste…… in Punjab's case there is a sweet taste in Amrinder's mouth but a very bitter taste in the mouth of Punjabis'!!!!

The Insta Poll done by NDTV is not right,
On Voting in progress people get an insight!!!

Insta Poll is unfair!!! People's choices can be swayed by the Insta Polls!! As it is Pre-Poll surveys do a lot of damage ….. but as these are mere guess work the credibility is low!!! But in Insta Polls Voters get an insight of how the Voting is progressing and this can have a direct impact on Voting choices!!! This kind of poll should be banned….. Roy and Supariwalla should have known better… seems TRP ratings muddled things up for them in the uppar waala maala!!!!

Pawar should be held responsible for the price spurt,
Joh Aam Admi ko karr rahi hai hurt!!!

Pawar has bungled big time!!!! But because of Coalition compulsions he continues as Agriculture Minister…… had a Congress Minister done this he would have been sacked form the Cabinet!!!! Manmohan ji whereas inflation hurts the people a little extra deficit hurts no one….. between galloping inflation and a moderate increase in deficit the latter is any day better and in Socio-Capitalist Economies deficit is not a bad word like it is in Capitalist Economies!!!! All over the World Governments have an hawk eye on the supply side and India needs to do the same!!! And if there is a dip in the supply side the Government takes immediate steps to take care of the dip!!! And please do realize a stitch in time saves nine….. Confucius says ' For the Sarkaar's bungling it's the people who pay the fine'!!!!

Were the markets aware of the CRR rate hike,
Was this the reason that before announcement Markets ko kiya iss inside info ne spike!!!

Before the announcement of increase in CRR the Sensex fell by a whopping 300 points!!!! Of course they'll say that this was on account of weak global cues, but there is this niggling question that did the Markets get inside info that RBI was about to hike the CRR???? This needs to be checked out because the small investor has again burnt his fingers and the big players have again taken timely action!!!!

Well done Salman,
You've done something mahaan!!!

Salman has donated Rs. 4.5 lakhs for the treatment of a kid suffering from cancer!!! He made this gesture a couple of months back but did not let the Media know about this!!! The Media got to know about it when Salman took time off from his shooting schedule to meet the kid at a function organized by the person who approached Salman to help this kid!!! I'm sure he's got a 'saugath' of blessings from Saugath's (the kid's name) parents!!!
