You have taken excellent initiative

I fully agree with one of your readers who has nominated Madam Alka Sirohi as the top bureaucrat of this country.Mrs. Sirohi did a commendable job as Secretary, Social Justice in Madhya Pradesh, even though it was an additional charge for her, her primary charge being that of Secreatry, Women and Child Development.

This is an excellent initiative that you have taken, because unlike crciketers and dancers and musicians and Page 3 people and filmstars, honest officers do not get enough recognition in this country. In these times, where ordinary call centre workers make as much (if not more) money than Joint Secretaries to the Govt of India, it is only recognition that can motivate our top officers.

Yes, Chaudhary is Super Cop

I agree that Daljit Singh Chaudhary is a supercop.More than that he is a humble person, a great team leader and a wonderful person to have as a colleague.
Ashish Gupta (his batchmate in IPS in the PMO)

Low figures because of lack of internal vigil

It would be interesting to have similar figures for CPWD and Income Tax.Low figures could also be the result of lack of internal vigil in the departments.

Why this disparity
But, the fact remains that a Director in GOI (an officer of All India Service-IFS) is reporting to DS (in this case an office of AFHQ Civil Service-a Group-B service) in GOI and no body cares for this disparity.

Transfer of ISS Officers made in haste

Mystery shroud the transfer of three JS level officers in ISS within Delhi. ISS Officers are wondering about the urgency and haste shown by CCA for these transfers when Parliament Session is beginning and a vaccume will be created in Health Ministry, as the other Addl. Secy. level officer there is on the verge of promotion and transfer from Health Ministry. About 2 months back 2 ISS officers were shifted from Health Ministry. This is all the more strange that order has been issued when Chief Statistician is joining in a day or two.

Aaj Ki Aawaz

Seems Mulayam has lost it….. alleges that an Industrial House is out to oust his Sarkaar,
Yesterday against some foreign power for the same allegation he was raising a lalkaar!!!

No guessing required as to which Industrial House Mulayam is pointing his finger at….. of-course it's the asli Reliance!!! And how did he come to this conclusion…… to this question Mulayam says that when the time comes he will reveal everything……. Naa aane wala hai time aur naa bajne waali hai Mulayam ki bansuri!!! Previously it's alleged Mulayam wooed MLAs with money and posts….. now as MLAs know that Mulayam Sarkaar is kuch dinn ki mehmaan and posts will be of no use seems hard cash is the demand!!!

Shouldn't Karat be worried about rising prices , SEZs and foreign investment???
From core issues why is there a divestment!!!

Nowadays seems Karat eats, drinks and even mumbles in his sleep 'Mulayam'!!!! Shouldn't he be asking for sacking of a 'bad' and 'illegal' Government ??? And he knows what Mulayam has resorted to and will resort to in getting a majority on the floor of the House!!!! UPA Allies have all agreed on sacking of Mulayam Sarkaar so why is Karat is trying to Veto this sack Mulayam vote???? And isn't it a sorry state of affairs if just because Karat has the perception that Mulayam's sacking could benefit BJP and BSP he is willing to damn Democracy….. but then why should a Communist care for Democratic principals????

Nowadays it's no longer Dal Roti khao Prabhoo ke gunn gao,
Nowadays its Prabhoo ke gun gao aur Dal Roti ke near math jao!!

Dal Roti which was the staple diet of the Aam Admi is now something only the rich can afford!!! And even on that rare occassion when Dal is made in Aam Admi homes 'tadka' is a luxury….. only done when guests are over for a meal!!! And now you have Pawar saying that he wants Wheat exports to be opened up again!! He slept when this year there was an abnormally high export of onions!!! He slept as Wheat stocks went down in India and wheat prices hardened overseas. He slept as Dal prices went through the roof. Oh! dozing Pawar zaraa hosh mein aana!!!

Hats off to Dada..... forced Pawar and gang to eat crow,
In front of his performance Pawar and gang had to bow!!!

Pawar did everything to keep Ganguly aka Dada out of the team!!! But Dada played domestic cricket with grit and forced BCCI to take him back!!! Imagine so paranoid is the Team , fearing Pawar's ire, that during the intial stages in SA they cold shouldrered Dada. During his bad patch I too had said that he should be sacked from the team..... but now seeing the grit with which he has come back all I can say..... well done Dada.... what a comeback!!!

Flash .... Polls in UP have been announced......President's Rule should be imposed,
For fairness in polls only in President's Rule faith can be reposed!!

But this announcement sure did take all by surprise!!!! SP is showing its pleasently surprised but insiders say both Mulayam and Amar are shaken....the staggered Poll is percieved to be most unsuitable for SP!!! A long night for both Congress and SP!!!
