Chhattisgarh to achieve self-reliance in Energy
At the time of formation of the State, the power requirement was around 900 MW. However with time and as a result of rapid pace of development, the peak requirement now is around 2300 MW. In order to meet the increased demand and also to meet the projected rise in demand in the foreseeable future, the State Government has made a policy to encourage power generation through Memorandum of Understanding with power generating companies. Till the present, twenty two MOUs have been entered into with various private investors for setting up power generating projects having a combined capacity of over fifteen thousand MW. These companies are expected to invest more than Rs. 68,000 crores in the State. Along with this, efforts to raise the generation capacity of the State transmission utility are also underway. As a result of the efforts, the State is all set to achieve self reliance in its energy requirement by the festive season of Dipawali 2007. There will be no power cuts in the State after Dipawali 2007. Incidently Principal Secretary Power in the State is 1981 batch IAS officer Vivek Dhand.

Sen to be Chairman of CFMG
Grapevine has it that outgoing DGP of Andhra Pradesh, Swarnjit Sen, is being appointed Chairman of the Ceasefire Monitoring Group (CFMG) in Nagaland to succeed Lt Gen R V Kulkarni. He is 1968 batch retired IPS officer.

None of the 1973 batch official, from Punjab, has been empanelled for the post of secretary in the Government of India.

Four new DMs have been appointed in Uttar Pradesh. They are Mssrs :-Madhusudan Raizada of Lakhimpur Khiri, Beena Kumar of Pilibhit, B N Dixit of Maharaj Ganj and Umesh Kumar Mittal of Mujaffarnagar.

Six officers of the Gujarat Police Service have been included in the IPS. The officers are DCP (Control room) Ahmedabad- S K Dave, SP Crime Branch Ahmedabad - G L Singhal, SP Vadodara - D N Patel, SDPO Mehsana - M A Chavda, SRP group commandent Vadodara - M V Damor and SDPO (Lunawada) - D R Mothalia. Their promotion orders are expected soon.

Directly and indirectly for the celebrations UPites had to pay!!!

At Mirzapur huge Pandals were put up, helipad was built, Circuit House refurbished …. 5 Star refurbishment, entire area around Mandir was cordoned off .... even shops were made to down shutters etc.!!!! The A Gang descended on Mirzapur and after resting at the Circuit House they came to the Mandir!!! Fifty one girls were wed….. many were adolescents!!! Ash's being Manglik is costing this Nation dear!!!! Big B says that Ash is a domesticated girl…… well is he in for a shock???? On Amar's birthday …… seeing the pious show being put up by Amar an adage came to mind…… sau choohe khaa ke billi Haj ko chali!!!! And the Fan's Club is actually All India ---- Association!!!

A Journalist asked Amrinder a question that made Amrinder squirm….. seeing him squirming Chahal called up the Journalist's Boss and asked him to fire the journalist there and then!!! Chahal then handed his cell phone to the Journo and the Newspaper Boss fired the Journalist there and then!!! The Journo did not get cowed down and informed Journalists present of what had transpired!! There was a hue and cry and Chahal beat a hasty retreat and apologized!!! Bullying and bulldozing is how Amrinder works…… and so do his cohorts!!! Well its just a matter of a month or so and he and his cohorts are going to be at the receiving end……. jaise ko taisa mille ga..... jaroor mille ga!!!!

In rural Punjab inflation is touching 11 percent!!!
And despite the recent steps by Sarkaar inflation pe nahi padhe ga dent!!!

The Sarkaar has announced duty cuts and even stopped Commodity Trading in certain Dals but inflation is not like a tap that can be reduced by just turning the tap!!! In Punjab the price rise is certainly an electoral issue!!! But of course the bigger issues in Punjab are Amrinder's bad governance, not being accessibile to the common man, Mega blunders and of course his wasting three years in trying to get at Badal and then coming out a cropper!!! In Punjab now they sing…. Amrinder hai gas da gubaara, Panj saal dendaa reha eh laare pe laara!!!!

Governor appointments and reshuffle is scheduled soon,
Shifting of certain Governors will indeed be a boon!!

Like for instance Punjab's Governor Rodrigues!!! He's been fishing for trouble for quite some time and ironically he was caught fishing, literally, in a protected area without a license!! After General Jacob this man is like a 'whiff' of rotten air!!! Governor of Maharashtra is also showing signs of fatigue….. he's suffering from a horrendous itch to get back into politics!!!

Sour grapes phenomena is easy to see!!!

And the thanklessness is evident!! This was the vehicle of his comeback and today he says he was getting bored!!! He should be thankful to the show and the audiences for the love they showered on him!!! He could have easily very gracefully said that his time was up and so he had to move on!!! Rather than exiting gracefully Big B is showing that he's one big rondu ….. first he said he's not seen Sharukh's KBC and now he's saying that he was getting bored of KBC!!! Strangling his one time lifeline!!!

What the Gatwick Airport is to the Heathrow Airport,London,that would be the Navi Mumbai International Airport which the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited (CIDCO's) plans to develop as a public private partnership venture.A proposal for second International Airport , Navi Mumbai has already been moved to the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation. As it is expansion and modernisation plan of the Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport(CSIA), Mumbai would be completed by the year 2010,if everything goes on smoothly.This is also a joint venture project.
