Asian countries provide better model

Officers are being sent for training to China to see how they have coped/are coping with problems, which are similar to the problems faced by India. We have a lot to learn from China, Malaysia, Thailand etc. I had personally advocated that instead of Western countries, Asian countries would provide better model.

Retirement age should be reduced

I fully agree with the comments of some of your contributors that the retirement age of government employees should be reduced to 58 years or even 55 years. People are just whiling away their time doing nothing and for every duty they perform for which they are paid, they demand bribes. There are only few departments which actually have work. It is much easier to teach young people new things than the oldies who refuse to adapt themselves to the latest technology but earn good salaries only because of their experience.

Government should introduce attractive VRS

In fact, I suggest that the government should introduce an attractive voluntary retirement scheme so that those people who are not interested in the government sector can leave and seek employment elsewhere and thereby give the younger lot a chance.

Will the CBDT remove middle management officers ?

Please see irsofficersonline.org. The CBDT has embarked upon a new scheme of data management. Definitely a sound step so that officers can be posted to the place of their competence. But the moot point is whether; the wrong done by the previous Board will be undone during this years' transfers. The greatest misfortune is that the officers of the previous board are all having cushy post retirement assignment. Perhaps no one thinks it right to even punish them even after the CAT indicts such officers. Punish? They are rewarded.
Let bygones be bygones. But will not the CBDT at least decide to remove the officers' ( of significance) from the middle management who manipulated the data on the previous occasion?

About Olympics

Bidding for Olympics is a horrendous thought. When a country with such a large population is unable to claim medals at world level, what is the use of hosting the games? We may think about this only when the International Olympic Association agrees for Reservations in disciplines e.g. Indian players to run only 50 mts. while the rest run 100 mts, ditto in all disciplines. Mr. Kalmadi & Co. should push for this. With basic facilities at grassroot level in the country in disarray, the thought that hosting the games will improve the state of Indian sports is like living in a fools paradise. The Government should disband all the existing sports bodies which have achieved nothing except the bloated egos of their functionaries.

George Bush in Hell

George Bush has a heart attack and dies. Obviously, he goes to hell where the devil is waiting for him.

"I'm not sure what to do," says the devil. "You're on my list but I have no room for you. You definitely have to stay here, so I'm going to let someone else go. I've got three folks here who weren't quite as bad as you. I'll let one of them go, but you have to take their place.

I'll even let you decide who leaves."

George thought that sounded pretty good, so he agreed.

The devil opened the first room. In it was Richard Nixon and a large pool of water. He kept diving in and climbing out, over and over. Such was his fate in hell.

No!" George said. "I don't think so. I'm not a good swimmer and don't think I could do that all day Long."

The devil led him to the next room. In it was Tony Blair with a sledge hammer and a room full of rocks. All he did was swing the hammer, time after time.

"No!" I've got this problem with my shoulder. I would be in constant agony if all I could do was break rocks all day." Commented George.

The devil opened a third door. In it, George saw Bill Clinton lying on the floor with his arms staked over his head, and his legs staked in a spread-eagle pose. Bent over him was Monica Lewinsky, doing what she does best.

George Bush looked at this in disbelief for a while and finally said,"Yeah, I can handle this."

The devil smiled and said, "OK, Monica, you're free to go."

Where there is a smoke there is fire,
That's why to deny reports on wit
hdrawal of support to UPA Karat nahi karta tire!

CPI(M) is Congress in Communist attire,
And apne aap ko nobody karta hai fire!!

Yes this could happen that other Commies kick CPI(M) out,
Terming them as Congress's tout!!

Though CPI(M) does say its working on the Third Front,
For direct power its now in the hunt!!

And why is CPI (M) against Kalam's second term…. is it because of Dada,
To make Somnath enter Rashtrapathi Bhavan they've made an iraada!!!

Many say as Speaker Somanth Da is a 'flop show'!!!
In his term Speaker's Office has hit a new low!!!

Many say he's not a President material,
Also they say for the President's job he's too mercurial !!!

If creamy layer is not kept out reservation is just a joke,
On creamy layer benefiting there should be a rokk (ban)!!!

Once a person has benefited from the system and risen in life,
Why should OBC benefits be given to him , his kids and his wife????

And if these people continue to get benefits then others will loose out,
You can say then the OBC quota will be afflicted by 'creamy gout'!!!

Sibal has brought out the 99 beneficiaries of Mulayam's largesse,
Its a Poll revelation and hope for a CBI Inquiry karre gi Congress press!!

Courts binned the arbitrary allotments but stayed Inquiry by CBI!!
Court said it Cannot Be Inquired or in short CBI!!!

Shouldn't there be Judicial review!!!
Of course on this we know the Judiciary's view!!!

Though against Judgements we have legal recourse,
But do they realize the time taken and cost involved to take this course???

Judges cannot be holier than thou,
To Justice they too should bow!!!

Judiciary holds others accountable and now should hold itself accountable too,
This would be a judicious thing to do!!!

In UP they say if it's a hung House Congress will try for Prez's rule,
That is if it does not make it to the King Maker duel!!!!

BSP is going to form the next Government in UP… with whose help is not sure!!
But be rest assured for the lack of numbers Maya will find a cure!!

Though there is news of talks going on between Parties in the fray,
There are also rumours that old enemies may come together in May!!!

Amar Singh they say is burning the telephone lines,
Showing sheer desperation ke signs!!!

For him it's a do or be done with situation,
And situation is his own creation!!!

Seems PC realized that why burden Tax Payers with cash flow statements!!!
In which they'd have to provide itemized details of incomes and payments!!

Why complicate matters and make abidance a pain???
And he was inundated with Tax Payers expressing their disdain!!

SEZs will make the Exchequer bleed………..huge revenue loss,
No wonders on SEZs PC is so cross!!!

Mukesh Bhai is going to call on Pranab Da….. SEZ size clarity call,
One thing is for sure decision will not be Reliance centric but common for all!!

And Mukesh has a problem with the reservation in SEZs for Medium and Small scale,
With such restrictions he feels SEZs will just fail!!!

Its said that post her marriage Rabdi had complained about being married to a kadka,
On this internally Laloo bhadka!!!

To pay this debt he made Rabdi the CM…. this is what Laloo says,
Reminiscing about his penniless days!!

But yesterday's penniless man is alleged to be running into crores today,
On his becoming so wealthy what does Laloo say!!!

Laloo's secret of success they say is his Dairy Farm……. claims to be a gwaaala,
Well if that's the case in the entire World he's richest Doodhwala!!!

But what's even more surprising is that the size of his herd is small,
Seems in his Dairy Dhood from the heavens karta hai fall!!!

How come the Aussies are unbeatable… for their Board the game is all that matters!!
Just the opposite here and that's why our Team is in tatters!!!

All fun and money and no game is Indian Team's bane,
And they also have the match fixing stain!!!

The entire World Cup squad should have been axed,
Also for their dismal performance they should have been monetarily taxed!!!
