Will the UPSC look into this subject ?
The UPSC has to seriously look at the way the General Studies question papers are being set specially for the prelims. Any thing on the earth is being asked. It's absolutely not possible for a student to prepare from an indefinite vast mass of information available. It looks like that it is more a test of ignorance than knowledge/ or information imbibed by a student. Reforms have to be implemented in the interest of candidates getting in who will be due course decision makers for the country.

Secondly, negative marking is also not a positive step in conducting any competitive exam. It demotivates a student.

How about UPSC members being selected by UPSC ?
As per media reports,. UPSC members want more perks after retirement and every member wants to be at par with Cabinet Secretary. There is no harm in having higher aspirations. But some thought may also be given to how come after such a rigorous selection process based on seemingly objective, fair and just criteria, candidates selected by UPSC in few years time take to corruption like fish takes to water and their number is not insignficant. Extra judicial killings in Gujrat which came to light following orders of Supreme Court are only a tip of the iceberg as such fake encounters are not confined to Gujrat only. Let UPSC also do some introspection. How about UPSC members being selected by UPSC and not merely being handpicked.

Why do you say IAS is a premier service ?

What is this trash about IAS being a premier service.....Such comments not only reveal immature outlook towards the functioning of bureaucracy but also stinks of jealous outlook towards ,and insecurity from, other equally premier and competent cadres. Placement of officers from all cadres should be consciously encouraged right from the level of Director onwards mainly on the criterion of dedication, hardwork and rational understanding of the government system. Envious attitude can only breed contempt.

If rice is not reaching some districts in Arunachal Pradesh, it is only the State government to be blamed. Irrespective of the fact whether there is transport subsidy or not, it is the duty of the State government to ensure that rice (a basic necessity) reaches every corner of the State.
