FORUM
Treatment to Taslima is a shame
The treatment given to Taslima is a shame to the West Bengal Government
and GOI's collusion is dismal. This is being done to appease the Minorities
and win their votes. The other communities should learn a lesson from
this to reject the CPM and UPA in the elections. In India others do
not matter and law can be bent for the minority to curry votes. NDA
can oust them if they take up cudgels unitedly against such unprincipled
behaviour.
Senior Citizen
Philip will be good choice for BHEL
To my knowledge Raji Philip had made turn arounds in all the organisations
he worked. The once loss making HPC is a dividend paying organisation
now. His honesty and efficiency has no parallel in the Indian Public
Sector history. BHEL needs a person of his caliber at the top helm to
continue its progress

Meghalaya people
I admire GHP Raju's kind sentiments for Meghalaya and its people. My
present assignment though based in Kolkata takes me on frequent, extensive
tours of all the seven states in the North East. With abundant scenic
beauty, pollution free environment and simple, friendly people I find
the region a wonderful place to work and live. The Delhi centric 'burra
babus' have unnecessarily stigmatised the NE region as punishment zone
to such an extent that the moment you get posted any where east of Kolkata
you start getting anxious calls from friends and colleagues wanting
to know what went wrong between you and 'the boss'. Much depends upon
the individual's own attitude. I have first hand knowledge of two diametrically
opposed instances in the Indian Defence Estates Service. In the first
instance an officer was transferred from Delhi to Tezpur because the
boss felt the chap was being 'funny'. He passed every single moment
in deep agony and managed to get back to Delhi after convincing the
boss that he was misled by some crooked colleagues and had now decided
to be 'a good boy'. In the second instance a young (South Indian) officer
was posted from Wellington to Guwahati because the HoD felt that the
youngster didn't adequately look after his (HoD's) daughter and son-in-law
who went holidaying to Ooty. His area of operation from Guwahati included
Mizoram, Manipur and part of Nagaland apart from some districts of Assam.
Along with the transfer order he was given loads of horror stories about
North East leaving the poor chap completely petrified. As Guwahati happens
to be under our Kolkata we persuaded him to join and see things for
himself. He is a happy soul now and enjoys extensive tours in his area.
Taking advantage of the extra time he has for himself because of sheer
distance from the dirty centres of cut throat power plays he has mastered
Sir Edward Gait's History of Assam and is now planning to bring out
a coffee table book on the history and cultural diversity of the North
East. He misses no opportunity to tease the HoD with "Thankyou
sir for providing me with such wonderful opportunity" whenever
he is in Delhi.

On Vadra's frisking exemption AICC'S Uncle Tom (Tom Vadakkan) has his
own take!!!
He says SPG's reputation and feelings are at stake!!!
Funnily he says that frisking exemption is because Vadra is under SPG
protection!!!
A true blue blooded spoon trying to cover up for the faulty exemption!!!
What about Armed Forces reputation and feelings
or they don't
matter????
Uncle Tom's argument makes him look like a mad hatter!!!
Armed Forces Heads should not be subjected to frisking!!!!
On this Home Ministry needs to do frisking!!!
And Vadra should be frisked ...... no valid grounds for being exempted!!!
In fact by giving him exemption ultras are being tempted!!!
The Rahul under threat story is one big fib or dramabaazi,
Nothing but Congress playing a baazi!!!
And if this was an attempt to show Rahul's importance and get sympathy,
What they've end up with is Public ki apathy!!!
Fact its not terror but politics that's at play!!!
And don't we all know how the game Congress karti hai play!!
Because Congress is used to shouting 'wolf' off and on!!!
Prior to this it was for Sonia and now it is for her son!!!
State sponsored genocide in Nandigram is the Indian Commie's Tiananmen
Square!!!
And Buddha has said that 'account kiya Commies ne square'!!!
CRPF has opined that local cops are aiding and abetting goons!!
Cops literally dancing to goon's tunes!!!
Manmohan has slunk away to Singapore and Sonia's seems to be hiding!!!
Nandigram will blow over and till then time she's biding!!
Her Humaneness would ordinarily decry this genocide!!!
But because of numerical compulsions she's being forced to hide!!!
And then one must not forget that she's a politician first and humanness
is a hobby!!!
Only when it's politically correct for humane causes does she lobby!!!
'Political correctness and brownie points to be made' Sonia's cutlery
karti hai vet!!!
They check up political correctness and the mileage Sonia can get!!
And if found to be politically unsuitable then matters are stonewalled!!
Anti national or seditious the cause is called!!!
Congress wanted Gandhi's grandson to be Modi's rival in the Gujarat
election!!!
Proposal got from Tushar outright rejection!!
Indicator of Modi's popularity and his equation with Gujarat 's people!!!
That Congress had to run to apolitical Tushar Gandhi of all the people!!!
Hope PC realizes that by June July 2008 inflation will touch 6 percent!!!
Many kitchen budgets inflation will dent!!!
Global prices are rising and in India production is falling!!
Situation for some out of the box thinking is calling!!
Forward Trade in 'essentials' should be canned!!
Based on projected production and consumption data exports of shortfall
'essentials' be banned!!!
Ideal combination would be a rise in interest rates and Rupee's 41 pegging!!!
For these two measures economy seems to be begging!!!
Vengarkar says that he'll stop penning columns but what about his loss
or ghaata!!!
Says that if he gives up writing to a sizeable income he'll have to
say ta-ta!!
Maybe in BCCI very soon there will be no Honorary job as all will get
paid!!!
All want a share of the pie that's made!!!
Confucius says
. Cricket in India is no longer a game but a business
or dhandhaa!!!
Like coal ki dalaali even in cricket ki dalaali there are many hands
which are gandhaa (soiled)!!!
