Magnanimity of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi
Congress chief & UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi has earned more
respect from business houses than any leader in recent past. Corporate
houses say that even if they were hard core BJP or any regional party
supporters including Amar Singh's friends, she has always welcomed them
if they sought a direct appointment with her .In fact when Rahul Bajaj
was nominated on an NCP ticket, she called him & said "you
could have informed us & we could have supported your candidature".
So are Ambani brothers or Kumarmanglam Birla welcome in her house.

Vigilance week only a lip service
I agree with Sudhir Chopra. The vigilance week is only a lip service.
It is very important that the vigilance directorate first puts its house
in order. In the Income Tax department, there was this lady officer
posted in the vigilance directorate in Kolkatta who along with her spouse
made life hell for honest officers. In today's world , the maximum number
of complaints are against honest officers as they do not fall in the
line. The lady officer and her spouse troubled all officers who would
not succumb to their ( couple) demands. Worse their own vigilance people
closed the complaint against the couple . You scratch my back and I
shall scratch yours seems to be the motto.
Vichitra Agnihotri
It makes no difference
On 27th Oct. 27000 adivasis and dalits from 20 states of the country
gathered at Ramlila Ground of Delhi after marching on foot from
Gwalior on 2nd Oct under the aegies of Ekta Parishd. Seven of them died
enroute .On 28th Oct, they were supposed to march to Jantar Mantar but
were stopped by the police who surrounded Ramlila ground since morning
and would not allow them to reach Jantar Mantar. While electronic media
gave live coverage of half marathon of few kilometres only on 27th Oct(
an event sponsored by corporate houses),it virtually ignored such an
historic march by those who became marginalised in the course of "development"
when their land was taken away or they were driven out from forests.
What was heartening was the confidence on their faces as they were no
longer content with empty promises given during election times but were
ready and willing to give sacrifices to assert and realise their rights.
Seeing them squatting peacefully on the ground and listening to the
speakers (like PV Rajgopal, AB Bardhan, Swami Agnivesh etc.), I was
wondering what difference increase in retirement age of govt. servants(known
as public servants) would make to them and whether they ever benfitted
from vast experience and knowledge of such govt. servants who would
retire at the age of 60 years or at 62 years in case their prayers are
answered.

TAIL-PIECE
Once a man was waiting for a taxi.
A beggar came along and asked him for some money. The man ignored him.
But being a professional, the beggar kept on pestering him. The man
became irritated when he realized that the beggar would not leave him
alone unless he parts with some money.
Suddenly an idea struck him. He told the beggar, "I do not have
money, but if you tell me what you want to do with the money, I will
certainly help you."
"I would have bought a cup of tea", replied the beggar.
The man said, "Sorry man. I can offer you a cigarette instead
of tea". He then took a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and
offered one to the beggar.
The beggar told, "I don't smoke as it is injurious to health."
The man smiled and took a bottle of whisky from his pocket and told
the beggar, "Here, take this bottle and enjoy the stuff. It is
really good".
The beggar refused by saying, "Alcohol muddles the brain and damages
the liver".
The man smiled again. He told the beggar, "I am going to the race
course. Come with me and I will arrange for some tickets and we will
place bets. If we win, you take the whole amount and leave me alone".
As before, the beggar politely refused the latest offer by saying,
"Sorry sir, I can't come with you as betting on horses is a bad
habit."
Suddenly the man felt relieved and asked the beggar to come to his
home with him. Finally, the beggar's face lit up in anticipation of
receiving at least something from the man. But he still had his doubts
and asked the man, "Why do you want me to go to your house with
you".
The man replied, "My wife always wanted to see how a man with
no bad habits looks like."

But shamelessly Congress says no!!!
Singhvi says that Congress appointed Commission after Commission!!!
And the minute a Commission's investigation got hot Commission hothi

Or Commission was a friendly Commission!!
At every stage took Congress's permission!!
Congress is shedding croc tears on Gujarat riots

In the Capital of India Sikhs were slaughtered!!!
Police watched as Sikhs were butchered!!
And then Rajiv justified the riots with his heartless big tree falling
statement!!!
Congress is with you was the message that was sent!!!
Congress rubbed salt in Sikh wounds by making riot accused Mantris!!!
What a payback for people who were and are considered as the Nation's
Santris??
Kamalnath continues to be a Minister despite have led a rioting mob!!!
A mob that made many Sikh families in grief sob!!
So before slamming Modi Congress needs to look into its own past,
Congress's role in the 1984 riots left all aghast!!
Karat now says that India and US are ganging up against Cheen ( China
)!!
So now Karat admits that for China he's bajaoing his been (flute)!!!
So for China 's security he's willing to sacrifice India 's security
and progress!!!
By virtue of this statement he looks like Mao in an Indian dress!!
CPI or Communists Pestering India have shown their true rangh!!!
In China had they done what they are doing in India they would have
been hung!!!
Laloo says it was Vajpayee who made the comment about Hema's cheeks!!!
Forgets that Vajpayee is not a mascaraa like him and weighs his words
before he speaks!!
Laloo is known for firing his gob without thinking!!!
Most of the time between his gob and brain there is de-linking!!!
And then Hema must have taken Laloo's comments as those of a mascaraa,
Must have thought 'Joker ki bath ka nahi maanana chaihiye buraa'!!
Karat is now trying to rope in Pawar to oppose the Nuclear Deal!!
Rumoured that to discuss this Karat invited Pawar over for a meal!!!
Karat must remember that Pawar is a Master Ditcher and could ditch him

What Pawar's pocket says Pawar must do!!!
And if there's midterm poll Pawar will be deadweight in UNPA!!!
For all his alleged acts of omission and commission Maharashtrians are

Of course in Dad's absence Junior will mind the Store!!!
He and bro in law will stand guard at the door!!
Badal Senior says he'll control the State from overseas with a click
of the mouse!!!
'Sukhbir will take over in Dad's absence' fire he's trying to douse!!!!
Cousin Manpreet has mellowed down and said Subsidy is required!!!
Has he mellowed because he was scared that he could get fired???
Punjab is agog with rumours that Junior Badal will move into CM's saddle
midway!!!
As it is in Punjab Government more than Dad the son has more say!!!
Wonder if PC has noted that FIIs have invested in every Public Sector
Undertaking??
Wonder if he's given a thought as to why so much money in PSUs FIIs
are staking??
Is India exposing itself to a possible proxy war via the Financial Sector???
Wonder if PC will care to consider this factor???
SC feels CBI has handled the Nithari investigation with a biased mind!!!
CBI ko Pandher ka shield kiya hai SC ne find!!!
After Mr. Q now CBI has Mr. P's 'egg on its face'!!!
Severe strictures from SC karr rahi hai CBI face!!!
Rumored that a powerful Punjab Congressman related to Pandher has come
to his aid,
And he's putting pressure on CBI so that investigation is waylaid!!
Confucius says
. CBI now means Centre Botching Investigations!!!
Though some would say nowadays its Congress's Biased Investigator or
Investigations!!
