WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT US Just heard about yr site and found it useful for the government employees.
Thanks for all the useful information. H P Kesan ONLY SOURCE TO REACH THE DECISION MAKERS ADVERTISE ON-WHISPERSINTHECORRIDORS.COM Grapevine has it that Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power Ashok Kumar Khurana has resigned. He is 1976 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. Why 123 agreement was put in cold storage? Why did the Congress decide at the last minute to put the Indo-US nuclear deal in cold storage? It is learnt that Prakash Karat & Sitaram Yechury in their talks with Prime Minister Dr.Man Mohan Singh & Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee hinted that they had to go to the Indian public & tell them how investigation against an American institute in India was closed down under the US pressure. In this connection they even showed certain documents that were reportedly leaked from the RBI. Three DIGs in CBI to be promoted Raja not to move from Mumbai Left Front's support base to shrink Prasad to be Chairman of CBDT for four months 14 vacancies of IFS officers in Orissa As many as 14 posts belonging to Indian Forest Service (IFS) Orissa government's Forest department are lying vacant since last three years. These posts are likely to be filled up by January 2008. 250 Pilots leave Air Force K Argal to be DG (IT) Bhopal ? Increment and retirement dates to be unified ! Tenure of Mukherjee to expire n January Phonsog to retire this month Tenure of Desiraju to expire DPC for 1974 batch IPS on Oct 31 in MP Retired IAS officer passes away Passing out parade of IPS officers next week The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy Hyderabad will
host a passing out parade for 96 probationers on October 30 . 4 Royal
Bhutan Officers and 4 Maldivian Officers are also Passing Out along
with our IPS Officers. 18 lady officers (the highest ever no. in a particular
batch so far) will also be on the parade. IAS reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh FORUM Retirement age should be raised to 80 years The retirement age should be raised to 80 years to make sure that all
government servants die in harness and their grown up sons are given
appointments in government on compassionate grounds. This would prevent
death in harness of government servants if the age is raised to only
62.Besides it would prevent deforestation as plenty of wood is needed
for cremations of 62 year olds compared to 81 year olds. Electric cremetoria
consume a lot of precious power especially in the summer months when
power is needed for ACs of the living. Maybe Dr Manmohan Singh had this
in mind when he advocated the indo- us nuclear deal as cremetoria can
be supplied power from nuclear power plants. How far -sighted our dear
PM is Why officers of All India Services quitting ? Vivek Agrawal Why the use of "Babus" ? I have noticed for some time the frequent use of the word 'Babus' in your Forum. East India Company has gone but babus still remain in our mind and blood. Ravi Retirement age should be reduced I think the retirement age should be reduced and they should be given some compensation for early retirement. Vijay No need to raise retirement age There is no need to increase the retirement age above 60 years. There is no end to the logic that experience of a person has to be utilised and that if a person retires the govt. has to pay pension and will therefore save a lot of money. In fact this demand is coming from persons who are approaching the retirement age and are placed at higher ranks as they don't want to easily leave the perks & power attached with their positions. For those at lower ranks have no meaning of this demand. In fact in the age of globalisation new fresh blood should be inducted in the Govt. Machinery and govt. should think of effectively utilising their services. If people can do well in private sector which doesn't have any system or policy how is it possible that a well trained govt. person working under a established setup not deliver results. The Government must treat its employees as an asset and not as a liability and then see the results. Mukesh Blame it on Whispers! P & T FAS officers are more useful Hemant K. Dewan wrote The officers of the Indian P&T Accounts and Finance Service must thank to the repatriation process as this has given them opportunity to use government authority and administrative powers in the capacity of Controller of Communications in the States. Now these officers are controlling and monitoring the activities of the Service Providers such as BSNL, TATA, Reliance etc. They must give their 100% and prove that they are not only the best finance manager but excellent administrator also. At the initial stage, they have identity crisis and Government has not earmarked CCA office buildings, but they have to show that they are fully capable to perform in the adverse circumstances also. Yes, Hemant. You are right. P&T FAS officers can be more useful in Govt. of India than in BSNL/MTNL since scale of operations are big and one can be more effective. Runu Ghosh Do You really control ? Refer to the article where in it was mentioned that IP&TF&A services officers are controlling the service provider. Please look into your consciousness and ask from within "Do you really control anything leave service providers". It will be better if Government sends you all to surplus cell. What is the need of this service now? Pankaj About Sixth Pay Commission Your feedback about the sixth Central Pay Commission is not quite confident.
I send mails to the Commission that the CCA & Transport Allowances
should be equal to top to bottom and also the Transport allowances should
be paid to the employees staying in the govt. quarters. As per as the
HRA is concerned the accommodation available is more than 25 years old
and the increased HRA should be paid to the government quarter occupants
also. PRESIDENT TAIL-PIECE A Well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a Rupee 500note. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this Rupee 500 note?" Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this note to one of you but first let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the note up. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. "Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on theground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air. "My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth Rupee 500/-. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never Lose your value.
