AN IMAGINARY UNPA MEETING

UNPA met at Amar Singh's opulent home. I'm able to narrate what transpired as by the wonder of imagination I was invisibly present.

One by one the invitees trickle in. Amar Singh playing the perfect host welcomes each invitee personally. Every time he receives a guest he poses with the guest for the Media's flashing cameras.

Karat: Who notified the Press….. wasn't this supposed to be a secret meeting????
Amar : (sheepishly) Please seems Chautala Ji has come…. please excuse me I've to receive him. Oof the Indian Media!!!!

Amar exits.

Karat: This is the biggest panga with Amar Ji …..even if he has a cold he has to let the Press now about it. I'm sure he's let the Press know about this meeting and now he's being sheepish!!
Mulayam: Arre this is because of Amar's filmy connection….. my brother Shivpal calls him a political bhaand (actor)…… but please don't tell him I told you this or he and the two Jaya's will go into a sulk!!

Amar returns with Chautala and his son.

Karat: (aside to Naidu) If this was a family affair I'd brought Brinda along……why's he brought his son along?????
Amar: Now that we are all here lets start the meeting.
Karat: First tell me how ready are you all for a midterm poll????

All of a sudden practically all rush to the loo….. after asking the question Karat himself runs to the loo and in the end only Chautala and Naidu are left seated in the room. Slowly all return.

Mulayam: Not ready at all…… I feel that by 2009 anti incumbency against Maya Sarkaar will set in and then SP will have a better chance……. today not election but saving ourselves from going behind bars is on our minds…….. Amar ji toh does not even enter UP.
Amar: Neta Ji mein aap ko boltha tha lets go abroad for sometime ……. Anil Bhai has even offered his Jet to be at our beck and call…….. out of sight we would be out of Maya's mind!!!
Chautala: Haryana always votes out the Party in power…… Kuldeep is here but I don't know if Bhajan Lal Ji will ultimately side with UNPA….. he has the habit of changing his mind at the last moment!!!
Kuldeep: Tau tainey kay ho gaya ???
Chautala: Rey choray tehra Bapu toh gurgit se!!!!
Naidu: I don't understand what you are saying but by your voices and body language looks like you two are fighting …. stop criticism and reboot …… as for TDP we are ready for midterm poll…… I will make Reddy regret the day he entered politics!!

Kuldeep gets up and takes a seat away from Chautala.

Mulayam: Jayalalitha ji is bound to do well in TN…… Amar Singh Ji you must go down to Madras and talk to her!!!
Amar: No chance…… every time I go there I come back with my hemorrhoids running a riot…… in fact I know whether she's in a pliable mood or not by what she serves me!!! If she's in a pliable mood the food served is chilly free….. but if she's not in the mood she'll serve the hottest food and has Sasikala to keep heaping my plate…. sadistically…. she knows my problem and uses food to let me know the state of her mind!!!
Karat: (taking a bite of a jalebi) Amar Singh Ji wah…… jalebis are heavenly!!
Mulayam: I feel Sonia ji is fast becoming a jalebi….. very difficult to predict her!!!
Karat: Not a jalebi but an immarti…….. one day she's challenging us and the next day she giving excuses….. and then she has her minions give differing statements!!! Tell me what should we do on the Nuclear Deal???
Naidu : Deal is good for India …… but now that our Communist brothers have made this into an issue we have to damn the Deal.
Chautala: This is for sure without Nuclear Power Haryana's power scenario will be very bleak…… but I'm willing to take an anti Nuclear stand for the sake of the UNPA!!!
Mulayam: Both Anil and Roy tell me 123 Deal is in India 's interest……. but now that our Communist brothers have taken on the Congress on this we have to stand behind them….. how can I forget when they stood behind me in my trying time???
Naidu: Karat Ji if Congress presses on with the Deal will Communists pull the plug?????
Karat: I cannot answer this question as this will first be discussed at the Party workers level and then at the Politburo level!!!
Naidu : (aside to his sidekick Yerra Naidu) That will take ages…… see I told you these fellows are playing a double game as they are not ready for midterm polls so they will let this Government continue!!! Discussing the issue within the Party and then at politburo level will take a year!!!!
Mulayam: Most of us don't want a midterm poll and at the same time support our Communist brothers on their stand on the 123 Deal. So let's keep the bickering on and keep the Government on tenterhooks!!! And I've good news….. Pawar too has said that he will join the UNPA once elections are announced!!!!
Naidu: What use is of Pawar to us……. his Party will barely get a seat or two ….. and his image is not too good……. rotten wheat has caused a rot in his popularity!!! And then he's one of the biggest ayaa Ram gayaa Rams!!!
Mulayam: One request…… Naidu Ji please do not mind this question…… will you return to the NDA if NDA needs your help to form a Government???
Nadu: I cannot decide on this myself…… if my Party decides then my hands will be tied!! Personally I'm committed to UNPA….. however I'm a disciplined CEO of my Party!!!
Karat: (aside to other Commies) This Bidu is a Bidu of only himself!!!

All present show restlessness.

Amar: I'll go the Press and say that it's because of the Left that UPA is in power and that SP and Commies are natural allies!!!
Naidu (aside to Yerra): So SP too is controlled by the Russians….. seems Mulayam came close to the Russians when he was Minister of Defense!! (aloud) Yes and I'll say that we'll take on UPA in the Parliament…… demand that Deal should be voted on by Parliament!!!
Mulayam (aside to Amar): He'll say this but make your friends in the Press sound as if the idea came from me!!!

Karat stands up and so do the other Commies.

Karat: So it's agreed that UNPA will damn the Deal!!!!!
Now I simply cannot stop myself and say: And damn India .
All in unison: Who said this?????
Karat: Party always comes first…. this is the first rule of Communism!!
Chautala: Latti is bigger the bhains….. and latti comes only with power!!
Naidu: Software needs hardware…. software is the programmes and hardware power!!
Amar: Arre bhai power nahi toh kuch nahi…… without power you are like a motor that rusts away…. ask me!!!
I sing: Harr daal pe gidd (vulture) baitha hai iss Desh ka kya hogaa!!!!!
All in unison: Bhago!!!
Mulayam: ( running) Bhoot...... Amar Singh ji aap ka bangla bhooth bangla hai!!!
Chautala: ( his pehelwan son literally carriyng him and running) Arre yeh koi Desh Bhagat ki aatma hai...... jaise Gandhi ji Munna Bhai mein aateh hai!!
Karat: I'm a rationalist...... this booth -wooth is all nonsense...... the Americans are behind this!!
Naidu: (dragging Yera and running) Parigettu ( run) Yerra!!!!

In the end Amar Singh is left alone in the room hiding behind the sofa.

Amar: (shivering) Ayee balaa ko taal doh!!!!

Gone are the days for IAS officers

IAS officers are not given salaries and perks as per their job profiles. gone are the days when u get a big bungalow with 12 servants and 4 vehicles as all these have gone at most of the places. It seems all socialism has happened with IAS officers. No body wants unnecessary staff but atleast give a fair and decent life.

Think over this

Appropos YP Mishra's query on retirement age.
I will answer his question by asking a counter-question
"If the father continues in service for 2 more years, the nation will save about Rs 5 lakh. Shouldn't this money be used for digging wells in villages, for providing drinking water to hundreds of citizens rather than providing a job to one individual?"

We can make India a developed country

We can make India a well developed country by 2020 by utilising the skills of our youths. Unemployment is the biggest social evil and crime. If our youths are idle, there is no sense of wearing the crown of developed country.
