FORUM IAS officers are best brains but -- N Kumar must remember that every Government Officer has to follow the
same code of conduct and his statement that only IAS officers follow
it is absurd. Being disciplined and honest is an individuals choice
and not because he belongs to a particular service. There are many state
service officers in India who after getting IAS have enjoyed more faith
and their credibility form people than their counterparts in the IAS.
The only reason because they don't get exposure is that they are controlled
by the IAS and they are not allowed to grow or function properly. If
the IAS officer who is his boss is happy with him for whatever reasons
he will grow or otherwise he will get shunted and frustrated. It is
true that IAS officers are the best brains in the country and there
should be no doubt about it but the State service officers are also
those people Why did Dravid leave ? I am sure Dravid must not have left captianship for regaining his batting prowess as is said or propagated by few. Bombay and now Mumbai always looked other outside cricketers as underdogs and today BCI is ruled by these Mumbai people. It is our misfortune that game of cricket is played as a game of politics and narrow regionalism. Dravid is justified to say so as he must have experienced the pinch all throughout.
