FORUM

Excellent move by IAS officers

This is an excellent move by IAS officers. I congratulate them for getting this implemented.
1.The condition of CGHS hospitals is pitiable. All the senior officers of the Government get themselves checked in private hospitals at their own expense.

2. I often envy my relatives in Banks etc. who don't have to suffer at CGHS clinics.

3.I have often come across employees working under me suffering from various diseases like cancer, heart attacks, kidney problems. Despite poor salary they would borrow money and get themselves treated by good doctors and in good hospitals rather then get treated in CGHS hospitals conditions of which are appalling.

4.Due to complicated rules and procedures , poor employees could not get reimbursement also.

5.Feeling insecure about medical emergency is also one of the reasons for corruption, thanks to CGHS.

6.It is high time Government gives an option to employees to choose the hospital they want to get themselves treated in.

7.I wish IAS officers are magnanimous enough to extend this facility to all Gazetted officers to begin with.

8.In the long run we should have same medical facility as PSUs and private sector, if Government is serious about promoting honesty and efficiency.

Re: ACR Business by Y Misra

There are many officers who have suffered and declared unfit for promotion because they have been given below benchmark grading by their overjealous reporting officers/ reviewing officers. This way the individual never gets to know his drawbacks/shortcomings, if there are any, and never gets an opportunity to improve his/ her performance. The DOP&T and Tribunals are behaving in a peculiar fashion and coming out with a clear cut policy of communicating below benchmark grading despite its being "Good", probably with malice in mind of teaching a lesson to upright and independent thinking officers who do not toe the line of their superior officers. The SC decided the matter in UP Jal Nigam case but it is not universally followed by the courts below. The matter has been thrown back to Delhi High Court for final adjudication by the SC in a particular case by day-to-day hearing. It is pending there for more than a year and many officers are suffering in silence who have been left out on promotions. I think it is high time all such officers get united and file a PIL in SC for early disposal of the cases. The DOP&T should be forced to come out with a policy for such below benchmark grading. This website would do a great service if the concerned can be made aware of this serious problem affecting many government officers. For obvious reasons, I would like to remain anonymous. Thanks.

Time to redress

This is the case not only with IRS but also with all the Account and finance services , who suffer humiliation in their day to day working with respect to infrastructure, promotions, biased recruitment rules career progression and job diversity. I once again reiterate that time has come when we should unite and use all forums to redress our grievances. This is in continuation of one missed call given in this forum last month by me. Let us fix some date and meet together in Delhi soon.
With due regards

Aaj Ki Aawaz

Karat says that if Congress wants India and US to date,
Then Congress should seek a fresh mandate!!

Its just big talk because Commies don't want to face polls!!!
If polls are announced Commies will be one of the most dukhi souls!!!

And looks like Congress may just call their bluff,
Go ahead with the Nuclear Deal and defy Commies to huff and puff!!

For all you know post the budget Congress may call for an early poll!!!
To capitalize on a populist Budget would be Congress's goal!!

Congress feels populist Budget will blow wind into its sails!!!
And it knows BJP is on comeback rails!!!

But PC doesn't have a wand, which can make Congress popular with one wave!!!
Have you ever seen a dead man rise form his grave????

Fact is Congress feels its haalath is not going improve by 2009!!!!
In fact galloping inflation is going to make people whine!!!

If monsoon fails inflation will rocket and Party in power will be in the dock!!
Seems on this possibility Congress has taken stock!!!

And then BJP is getting stronger with every passing dinn,
In fact if today elections are held NDA could win!!!

So now Congress has pinned its hopes of PC's Budget and he's on the job!!!
' Save us from becoming powerless' karr rahe hai Congressi sob!!!

Maybe PC will give every Indian Rs.10,000 ….official ghoos for vote!!!!
Bush gave spending money to Americans and this PC ne kiya tha note!!

Whatever he gives has to have an immediate effect!!!
Or Public opinion for midterm Polls he'll not be able to affect!!

Well one thing is for sure Laloo, Karuna and Pawar will fight tooth and nail!!
So that Congress's plans to go in for midterm poll ho jaye fail!!!

Maybe they'll all go and meet Karat and tell him to relent!!!
And warn him tomorrow when he'll be out of power he'll repent!!!

They'll remind of the NDA days when Commies could neither bark or bite!!!
When they remained locked up during the day and only stepped out in the night!!

Raj was arrested and then released on bail and now he's got what he wanted!!!!
And arrest was made after time and again Congress ko he taunted!!!

Azmi got bail in ten minutes but Raj's bail took more than an hour!!!!
Relations between MNS and SP will further sour!!

Some say MNS and Congress are hand in glove pardeh ke behind!!!!
Though in Public they'll continue to be to each other unkind!!!

Problems are going to escalate!!!!
Shiv Sena and MNS thrive on politics of hate!!!

Natwar Singh has quit Congress and seems he's going BJP's way!!!
And in his quitting speech a lot of anti Sonia rhetoric kiya Natwar ne say!!!

Shouldn't BJP be wary of Natwar or as he is lovingly known Nut!!!!
Seems Nut feels BJP will come to power …obeying the feeling of his gut!!

Sucker rallies do mislead!!
Investors get trapped and their portfolios bleed!!!

Sensex will go down to 13000 without a doubt,
And the Rupee will weaken to forty plus as Dollars flow out!!!!

Confucius says….. Try to sit on cash!!!
And wait for the market to crash!!!
