New cadre management-a welcome change

A welcome change. This system was prevalent in 80's and worked quite well and nobody had any grudge against this system because based on your merit, choice and seat availability cadres were allotted.

M K Sapra

Cadre Management -what about injustice ?
Yes. But what about injustice done to merit holders in the past!

Puneet Kansal

This is Kerala system

Kerala government initially introduced a leave for 5 years, ostensibly for the purpose for allowing government servants to take up jobs in Gulf. When they were about to complete 5 years, political pressures ensured that this was extended to 10 years. This limit has since been extended to 15 years and then to 20 years. Thus at present, a government servant can get a maximum of 20 years leave, 5 years at one go. Government servants have now invented a ingenious way. They join the service, complete probation of two years and then take leave for taking up jobs in Gulf, never to return. Since these persons hold lien, government can't make any appointments against these posts. This has severely crippled functioning of technical departments such as PWD, irrigation, health etc.

Retirement age = 65 years

It is a sound idea of the PM to increase retirement age to 65 years. It will stop civil servants from seeking post-retirement jobs. This will make the civil service more independent and fearless and honest.

Devinder Singh

There should be no retirement

Why indulge in the luxury of selective increases in retirement age from time to time when some people simply never retire! They are always there in the government service (distinct from public service). Why, then, should there be retirement for anybody? Should we not discuss somewhat dispassionately a scheme of willing retirement or ichha retirement akin to the original Indian concept of ichhamrityu (Bhisma Pitahmah had the ichhamrityu-ka-vardan).

M L Gupta

We are still in the mindset of feudalism

Friends we are still in the mind set of feudalism. After all, our last many generations had never been free. So talk of merit. Good governance system will not work. It will take 2-3 generations when we will come out of the mindset of "I am better than you because I was born in service X". So pity but that is how India is.

Aaj Ki Aawaz

Nitish should say…..Ujda Bihar toh aap chodh ke gaye theh Laloo humaare dost,
Aur abh keh rahe ho chakk de Railways……see the emptiness in your boast!!

The rail link between Rabdi's and his village Laloo is positioning as his Taj!!!!
Shahjahaan Laloo ko apni Begum Rabdi ko tohfaa in his Raaj!!

Railways is Shahjahaan Laloo ka Raaj!!!!
And the special railway line is this Shahjahaan's Taj!!!

By the way seems Laloo has gone back to his non veg days or is planning to!!!
Asked a TV audience to let him know meat and chicken prices with a look of glee on his mooh!

Safety has again been ignored and Laloo has looked only at frills!!!
And then he knows it's the next Railway Minister who'll scratch his head to pay the bills!

To make Railways safe huge investment is required!!!
First step is that a Consultant needs to be hired after UPA is fired!!!

And we all know what Laloo means by nayee kathni , karni and soch!!!!
We all travel squeezed like sardines and Laloo like a whale gets an entire coach!!!

Laloo ki kathni and karni is only for Rabdi and his in-laws!!!!!
In laws who have literally behaved like outlaws!!

Rabdi's parent's were caught traveling in first calls comfort ticket-less!!!
Saaala got the platform changed for an arriving train and created a mess!!

Wait for Laloo to exit the Ministry and then the 'poo will hit the fan'!!!!
And then you'll come to know how this Ministry Laloo ran!!!

Did Congress think that it will take the credit for waiving farm loans??
Question is why did Congress only in the last year listen to Farmer's moans????

All this time as farmers committed suicides was the Sarkaar sleeping????
Or was it deaf that it could not hear Farmers all over India weeping!!

Actually after Sonia's recent illness her hearing has all of a sudden become sharp!!!
Prior to her illness she could only hear praises that her chamachas used to harp!!

Despite Manmohan's auditory department being okay he's got a hearing aid!!!
And this hearing aid is manned 24 hours by a Sonia aide!!!

So he hears only what Sonia wants him to hear!!!
That's why sometimes when others are moaning Manmohan starts to cheer!!

That's because the aide has put him on a different waive length!!!
To keep him in control they'll go to any length!!

PC is getting ready for his Budget speech!!!!
Hear that for his last Budget speech he's got a story teller joh karr raha hai storytelling teach!!

Like a story teller PC will read his Budget speech!!!
At appropriate times he'll whisper, go slow or fast, shout and even screech!!

He'll read the Income Tax proposals like he's reading a suspense book!!!
Like a seasoned storyteller pause and at the camera he'll look!!

This Budget is Congress's last straw so all Congress MPs have been issued a whip!!!
Keep your fingers crossed and Budget session no one will skip!!!

When the cue is given all of them will thump the table in glee!!!
And they've been warned later on Sonia Budget session ki tapes karre gi see!!!

When PC delivers a 'populist' punch he will look at Her Grace!!!
And Sonia will have a benevolent smile on her face!!!

1 is to 10,000 are the odds that PC will present Budget attired in a business suit!!!
Possibility has come up because he was told thrice in Davos that suit karta hai uss ko suit!!

Same are the odds that he'll carry the Budget in a jhola and not the usual attaché case!
And 1 is to 5 are the odds that he'll have a smug look on his face!!!

Because whenever he's presented the Budget he's seen smiling form ear to ear!!!
Seems he loves to see on our faces the look of fear!!!

Confucius says…. This annual Budget is a joke and is not required!!!!
From this annual joke we've tired!!!

Continues.... and in the run up to General elections Budget is nothing but a ploy!!!
So that with Voters emotions the ruling Party can toy!!!!

Last ditch effort in case of BHEL's CMD

Why A.K.Puri skirted farewel?

Why A.K.Puri Chairman cum Managing Director(CMD) of Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd(BHEL)did not take farewel, when Executive Directors(ED)last meeting was held in Delhi on February 25,2008?This is being discussed in power sector because it was a departure from established practice.
