Increase in retirement age

Who wants the retirement age to increase or decrease?

If I am competent , why should I worry about retirement age. I can easily get a job in private sector\foreign Government agencies depending on the field I am working in. If I am incompetent, I would be too happy if retirement age is 100 years.

(2)It should be up to the minister who has to perform, to decide whether the officer at 60 is fit to work for another 2 years or 5 years or 10 years. May be there will be some misuse, but it is better than present system of grey hair is more important than grey cell. There should be lateral entry at all level in the
Government so that fresh blood and new perspective comes at all levels.

(3) Government officers should also be allowed to freely go to private sector for five years and gain from experience.(some exceptions can be made). At present this facility is there only for All India Service people, I don't know , why not for Central Government services.

Ravi

Retirement age should not be raised

To increase the retirement age of government employees from 60 to 62 years is not a wise proposal in view of the current rate of unemployment in the country. The few bureaucrats have advocated before the Sixth Pay Commission that by increasing the retirement age, the government shall be able in postponing its pension liabilities by 2 years. But what about the huge salary expenditure, which shall be incurred for 2 years on lakhs of government employees. The loss of depriving the youths for 2 years from jobs can't be imagined. The policy of the country should not be the tool in the hands of some top bureaucrats.

Y. Mishra.

Very strange

Very Strange! Only IAS ought to be medically fit. Why the circular doesn't talks about Government Servant in General.

Anuj

All India Service officers should be medically examined

Not only IAS Officers, but other all India officers like IFS etc. especially IPS officers should also be medically examined every year.

Rejoinder to S S Verma
With reference to S.S. Verma's views about Assistants' and Stenos' qualifications, he forget the issue that one becomes graduate only after passing 10th and 12th, though it is possible to become graduate even without this now-a-days. If he searches, even now he will find Assistants who are 10th or 12th Pass and PAs and Stenos even graduates and post graduates and even more than that. Status is given not on the basis of qualification, but on the basis is of post. So do not underrate any section of the staff. Each section has its own importance. Just like there are matriculate assistants, there are graduate stenos.

TNG Prabhu

Every service has merits and de-merits

This is with respect to remarks of Verma on the views of Arora. Both have tried to show superiority of their service. Every service has some merits and also some demerits (which is not up to your liking). We join the service on our own and not by saying of others, so always feel pride in the service to which we join and are forced to accept the offer of the almighty. By the way, the basic educational qualification for appearing in PAs examination has been raised to graduation, if I am not wrong. Don't u think, the experience also matters. Do u feel, all the Assistants are through exams only? Possibly, one peon may also appear for LDC exam and later work as Assistant. Then where is the boasting of being graduate. Do not compare with any one and be ready and content with the present.

Sunil Kumar Gupta

Umaji should return home

That will be great! Uma Ji left the BJP in anger and her parting did no good to the BJP, her new party and herself. It weakened the forum engaged in fighting the forces bent upon dividing and breaking the country in the name of secularism. The prodigal should return home. She is a prolific speaker and along with Narendra Modi the protectors of the likes of Afzal Guru can be beaten to pulp at the next Lok Sabha elections. The country has been held to ransom for too long and it needs to be redeemed. Along with her kundalini, she should awaken her patriotism and help rescue the country from divisive and mischievous elements.

Aaj Ki Aawaz

Congress twisted Maya's arm and she relented so it must have hurt her very much!!!
Like they say do not take pangaa with 'talaab ka croc or magarmach'!!!

Maya knows it that for her today Congress is a croc!!!!
She's got quite a few cases and Congress can deliver a powerful punch or sock!!!

And don't know why is she so worried about Rahul and Congress Party??
Why is she wasting on ' a lost case in UP' her repartee??

Maybe because both Congress and BSP have practically the same vote bank!!!
And that's why Rahul tried the 'sleeping overnight in a Dalit home' prank!!!

On Rahul being praised why is she so perturbed???
But then on such things politicians do tend to get disturbed!!

Fact is had a Congress CM been there in UP and Maya was praised!!!
A lot of ruckus Congress CM would have also raised!!!

'Jiss ka kaam ussi ko bhaye' this is what Maya has hinted to UP Governor or Guv!!!!
Because she knows Guv is getting his orders from 'above'!!!

Keeps arms length from politicians is the lesson!!
And come what the enticement may be the distance should not lessen!!

In Mumbai Raj Thackrey has got an acute case of Bhaiya verbal rash!!!
Amar, Big B , Laloo sabh ko kiya verbally lash!!!

He's basically targeting the ' amchi Mumbai' vote bank!!!
And so he's using this anti Bhaiya plank!!!

His Uncle has used it against Bhaiyas, Gujaratis and those from South!!
To get 'amchi Mumbai' votes sabh ko kiya in the past threaten and badmouth!!!!

And if he fails in politics he should take up mimicry…his Laloo mime was too good!!
He really got under Laloo's hood!!!

Don't know why he called Amar a maindak or a frog!!!!
Is it because Amar always tries to leapfrog????

Or does he feel that Amar has a froggy look????
And he's made this comment based on the 'cover of the book'!!!

Big B's got his fame and money in Mumbai whereas it's UP that he holds dear!!!
If the opposite took place UP ko Big B's attitude also karti sear!!!!

Amar's defense that Big B is beyond boundaries is hogwash!!!!
Big B ke galti ko karr raha hai apne style mein Amar wash!!!

Big B works and lives in Mumbai and he owes Mumbai a big debt!!!
Majority of Mumbaikars would also feel so is my bet!!!

Raj should realize that Mumbai is what it is because of cosmopolitan effort and sweat!!
And now outsiders are a force in Mumbai and that's why under his collar there's sweat!!

I feel in due course in Maharashtra Raj will forge with Congress an alliance!!!
And this will be the 'crowning glory' of his ,against his Uncle, defiance!!

And Big B should stop this surrogate politicking and come out in the open as a politician!
Why does he hide behind Amar and politics and has him do his political elocution??

Rumored that Cabinet's average age is going to fall!!!
And quite a few Congress youngsters are going to get the Cabinet Minister call!!

Deora, Scindia and Pilot are tipped to become Ministers… what about Rahul Baba????
After he slept overnight in a Dalit home how can he still be a baba????

Maya's anointed him as Congress's Yuvraj!!!!
Prince and not the cricket waala Yuvraj!!!!

But then some would say Yuvraj is a 'royal' word for Baba…Baba seems to stick on!!!!
Because today he has no other credentials other than being his Mama's son!!!

And if he's included in the Cabinet ….he'll not be included at the pleasure of the PM!!!!
How can heir of the Company be inducted on the Board on the pleasure of a GM????

But isn't it a bit too late to induct the young lot!!!!
By the time they learn the ropes too late it would have got!!!!

Seems first Rahul tried the see if he could undertake his Yatra by paragliding!!!
Now seems he's gone to Japan to order a special vehicle in which he'll be riding!!!

Why make grandiose announcements in the first place????
And then quietly run away and cut a sorry face!!

What was the need to announce that Rahul's going on a Yatra????
Now on his credibility there's a question mark ki matra!!!

Pawar wants India to dump the Nuclear Deal!!!!
Cricket ke saath karro Pakistan se deal!!!

After settling the Aussies now Pawar feels BCCI has the power!!!
And it can make any Nation cower!!!!

He forgets the real need for the Nuclear Deal!!!
With India 's worsening power situation the Deal is the only way to deal!!!

But sadly Pawar does not understand this meaning of power!!!
For him power is hay baling and making opposition and pubic cower!!!

He knows in Maharashtra both Congress and NCP face huge anti incumbency!!!
And that's what is causing him despondency!!!

No wonders he went knocking at Balasahib's door!!!!
To get back to power he wants to use votes in Balasahib' store!!!

Hope Balasahib heeds the adage….never let a fox into your hen- pen!!!!
Because then very soon you'll be without a single hen!!!

Dhoni said Twenty Twenty match was a practice session for upcoming One Day Matches!
And Indians gave fielding practice to Aussies by giving them so many catches!!!

Dhoni's own form is in the pits!!!
Sixes and fours he no longer hits!!!

Confucius says…… when success comes the fire in the belly is extinguished!!!
Happens always when from a no one a person becomes distinguished!!!
