Powergrid Chief panel may not materialize?

The panel for the post of Chairman & Managing Director of Powergrid Ltd., finalized on 6th February, 2008 may not finally materialize. S.K. Chaturvedi, is currently Director(HR) in NHPC and is a non-technocrat. He is the co-brother of ex- Cabinet Secretary, B.K. Chaturvedi. Another candidate shortlisted Rajiv Philips has no experience in the erection of transmission network. Power engineers will shortly be writing to the Prime Minister to scrap this panel and appoint a technocrat instead.
