SAIL & SCI join hands
In keeping with Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)'s strategy to form strategic alliances with related business companies, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed in Delhi on June 30,2008 with Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI) to promote a Joint Venture Company (JVC) primarily to provide various shipping related services to SAIL for importing coking coal. The JVC may also participate in world wide dry bulk shipping trade.The MOU was signed by A.K.Jain Executive Director (Corporate Planning)/ SAIL and U.C.Grover, Director (Technical & Off-shore Services)/ SCI in the presence of S.K.Roongta, Chairman SAIL and S.Hajara, Chairman SCI.Speaking on the occasion,S.K.Roongta, Chairman SAIL said "SAIL is putting all efforts in containing its cost of production by various means and having this JV is one of the major step towards this." Similarly S.Hajara, Chairman SCI said, "There is enough of scope for the JV to expand in the growing market."

Sixth Pay Commission and IRS
The pay commission has handed a raw deal to officers of the rank of JCIT/ADDl CIT/Director/DS of ITAx and Customs. While the police service and the Military service associations have taken up the issue forcefully with the powers that be, it seems the IRS Association which is headed by JS/Additional Secretary rank officers is least bothered about the plight of their junior officers. It is high time they should wake up and take up the issue with PM,FM etc. Otherwise junior officers will lose faith in IRS seniors and will feel totally demotivated. Hope they are listening.

House allotment in Delhi
I feel bound to draw attention of my fellow government servants about the bungling having been done in the Estates Office. All of a sudden the employees of Prasar Bharati have been made eligible for staff quarters in General pool. These quarters are for the Government Servants whereas the employees of the Prasar Bharati are not Government Servants. This interpolation has resulted in enhancing the waiting period by four to five years for staff quarters. My own waiting no. as on 1.1.2008 was 2007. Today it is 3063 for Type-IV quarters. I hope my friends coming to know of this bungling will certainly raise their voices against this.

Time of Congress regime is over
Time of Congress regime is over. They are now buying time through one cause or another to delay the elections. Corruption & Inflation are at peak. This Government has done bloodshed everywhere in the name of development and divided people in the name of reservation. Government is playing in the hands of businessmen and always taking care of their interests rather than general public.
The CPM is more or less working like a prostitute which first complains but after getting money starts playing in the hands of paying master. They provoked the Congress Government not to raise the price of petroleum products but after UPA increased the rates, they (Left) screened entire process and its outcome was like eunuch monkeys. Now these monkeys are trying to show they are opposing this so called nuclear deal. Every body will see one day these eunuch monkeys as bare spectators when this deal will be approved.
This is the dreadful providence of this country, that we are having a poor & powerless Prime Minister and have missed a great Finance Minister.
