Aaj Ki Aawaz
The Cash for Vote CD should be aired!!!!
Amar Singh is demanding this so he's taken steps that CD is not bared!!!
The Confidence Vote has attracted International condemnation!!!!
Why do our MPs make a laughing stock of this great Nation????
The Economist says….. Tarnished triumph or victory!!!!
'With Indian politics, bad gets worse' Washington Post take should cause us worry!
Another US Paper says…. Indian Government's unstable win!!!
In other words Democracy has taken it on the chin!!!
Times says….. Ugly win!!!

Now the V that Mohna has been flashing is being translated as ' Vitiated'!!!!
Like Narsimha Rao now Mohna is being rated!!!
And during the Vote Laloo outdid himself and set a new low!!!!
Out of his oral cavity threats, useless banter and insults did flow!!!!
By the way is there truth that Laloo wants to merge RJD into Congress!!!!
But I don't think Congress will be too eager for this ingress!!!
And Sonia should follow the adage…. never let a fox into your hen-pen!!!!
And Laloo is one of the foxiest men!!!
For all you know Laloo would then hijack the Congress Party!!!!
In such takeovers Laloo's very arty!!!
With a spurt in terrorism why doesn't Congress give Mulayam Ministry of Home???
Just hearing this in the mouth Mulayam will start to foam!!!
Mulayam doesn't want Defense as ' time is too short or kumm'!!!!
Only chance to make malai would be by selling Army Rum!!!!
Make Mulayam Deputy PM ....prestige without portfolio!!!!
It'll be like giving someone running shoes and then afflicting him with polio!!!
With Government wanting to push reforms through shouldn't PC be moved!!!
He's disliked by all Parties and will just create opposition so he needs to be removed!!!!
PC's disliked and he'll not be able to break ice with the Opposition!!!
Getting an okay from Opposition for PC will be an impossible proposition!!
During his speech when Speaker asked him to wind up Balu said ' I don't care'!!!!
Seems Speaker ko karr raha tha Balu dare!!!
Balu's got a bloated head and as per rumors a skeletons se bhari almaari!!!
And he seems to ignore the adage ' every doggy ki aathi hai baari'!!!
Chandigarh 's Administrator Roddy is on an English promotion trip!!!
On new Road signs and boards both Hindi and Punjabi are given the skip!!!
Maybe Roddy will order that in the UT in english National Anthem will be sung!!!!
He's put Rashtriya Bhaasha and Mother tongue on the bottom rung!!!!
Rumors of a Cabinet Reshuffle abound!!!
Hope from Finance Ministry PC is outward bound!!!
If Rahul Baba has his way then some Congress Ministers will also be outward bound!!!
After that doing Party work they will be found!!
Coming back to the cash for votes sting…… globally we've been put to shame?????
Our Politicians have just given Indian ill fame!!!
Windfall Tax all the cross voters and abstainers should be made to pay!!!!!
Bardhan and Bishnoi had quoted figures when vote buying kiya tha dono ne flay!!
Confucius says….. Paisa fekko and tamaasha karro see!!!!!
And remember ultimately who pays in cash and kind…… WE!!!!

Bharat Kumar writes well
Bharat Kumar writes well in Aaj ki Awaz. We should analyse the spurt in the terrorist attacks and take stringent steps to save the country. The present Govt is very weak in securities issues and their policy to appease the minority vote bank has given the encouragement to Muslim terrorists to go to BJP ruled states. No body seems to have been punished for these acts of terrorism so far. The anti-terrorist measures should create a fear in the mind of such elements. There is a need for strong laws like POTA to meet this menace. Those people who are responsible for poor performance should be removed from their positions starting with the National securiry adviser,Home Secretary, DG of police SSP, DM and other heads of IB both at National level and state level. Your website deals with petty matters about the services and is not stressing the improvement of performance of these services. BJP-ruled states should pull up their socks for a better performance.

A Senior citizen
TWO CHOICES

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves children with learning disabilities, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question: When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does, is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?' The audience was stilled by the query. The father continued. 'I believe that when a child like Shay, who was mentally and physically disabled comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.' Then he told the following story: Shay and I had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, 'Do you think they'll let me play?' I knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but as a father I also understood that if my son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.
I approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play.
The boy looked around for guidance and said, 'We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning.
I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning.' Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. I watched with a small tear in my eye and warmth in my heart. The boys saw my joy at my son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three.
In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as I waved to him from the stands.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat. At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.,However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitch. The game would now be over. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game. Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, 'Shay, run to first! Run to first!' Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled. Everyone yelled, 'Run to second, run to second!'
Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base.
By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball ..... the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team. He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head.
Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home. All were screaming, 'Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay' Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, 'Run to third! Shay, run to third!' As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, 'Shay, run home! Run home!' Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team 'That day', said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, 'the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world'.
Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making me so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day.
We all have thousands of opportunities every single day to help realize the 'natural order of things.'
So many seemingly trivial interactions between two people present us with a choice:
Do we pass along a little spark of love and humanity or do we pass up those opportunities and leave the world a little bit colder in the process? A wise man once said every society is judged by how it treats it's least fortunate amongst them.

Report must be implemented soon

This is a good news for Government servants. The 6th pay commission report should be and must be implemented immediately to give relief to the employees suffering from dearness.

Enough has been spoken about retirement age

I think enough has been spoken about retirement age. In my opinion, doors should be open for the willing employees who wish to work after 60, conditionally that in addition to pension they will be given only an amount to compensate their transportation and lunch. They will be tagged as 'consultant' and will guide the new comers thereby increasing their efficiency. In this way, a healthy person after 60 years of age can keep himself busy & simultaneously he helps the Government of India.
Shikha Arora

Retirement age

Dear Ms/Mr Simran & Gambhir : I am 53 years old and I earn - repeat- earn my monthly salary. (I trust in the next five years, the retirement age may become 55 or 58 depending on the circumstance prevailing then; hence I do not fall in the bracket of 'beneficiaries' as of now). I take care of my sub-ordinates very well and I am bothered of their welfare to be stamped as an officer. In a democracy, everyone has the right to express his/ her views and please do not deny me this. But why this aggressive posture? It is unfortunate indulging in character assassination by using words like 'Ghar Jamai', 'Sick Minded' etc. A person may be young or old, physically active or dull, efficient or inefficient; but if he/ she does not have the will to work then they will be a liability on the Government. If a Government Servant deliberately does not perform his/or her duties then the officer controlling the errant official should be held responsible for the lapse. All Government servants are expected to shoulder greater responsibilities as they DINE ON PEOPLE'S DOUGH. You have all the right to express your views but with some decency expected of a sensible literate person. I hold my view firmly that if the Government favourably considers to raise the retirement age, subject to certain conditions, it will be a Win-Win situation both for the Government and the Servant as the Government will have experienced, skilled and result oriented manpower and the Servant contributing creatively and constructively in the Nation building apart from being recognized for his hard work. It will also save considerable time, energy and resources in training a raw hand that will take a minimum prescribed period to learn and hence batted for enhancement of retirement age at least for two years.

Mahaan to hai hi

This may be read as further to what Mr. Saxena wanted to focus,as to how we can still call our country 'Mera Desh Mahaan'. Why not we still call our country, Mera Desh Mahaan? It is indeed in our blood to remain 'gulaam', first we were dictated by Mughals, then British and now after independence, we don't want to get out of shackle of one 'surname' family. After seeing all that happened in Parliament or every other day, we still have no option but to vote either one party or the other, though we know that all they have one (motive) desire. Some 10-12 years back I had read in India Today, one quotation "If Nehru was aware that Jinnah has T.B." the division of country may not have taken place. The corruption, terrorism of these days is not but the result of seeds sown by our leaders for their personal interests. We in the name of secularism, allowing our people to be killed as and when wished by these terrorists. In my view, if we Hindus together take a decision to not to visit Amarnath and Vaishno Devi for a year, results could be seen, as the whole economy of Kashmir will come to a stand still. And the residents of Kashmir will themselves kill these terrorists when they will not be able to give them food etc.The hotels, transporters, dhaba wallas, mule operators will come on roads. But I know, this cannot happen as we are not cruel by blood to take such a decision, we take every happenings with us as the result of 'Kismat'the principle of 'Bahkalo' and 'Bahlalo' is best suited to us, so after getting these treatments and seeing all this, we still feel happy till it happens to us or our near and dear ones, which is why I think, we still have a right to say 'Mera Bharat Mahaan.

About Mera Desh Mahan

All citizens are deeply pained and anguished at the accelerated declines in public display of the might of all that has been considered undesirable by Indian thinkers and aptly portrayed by A.K.Saxena in his feed captioned "MERA DESH MAHAN".I must say that it is in unsettling times like these that a shift from prose to poetry takes place to soothe frayed nerves. I send you a Hindi piece, if you would like to include in your next publication:

Will it not be sexual bias ?

Officers of Military Nursing Service(MNS)are being paid lower pay scales from the same rank of other military service officers till date. The MNS is a service of ladies only and their number may be around 3200. Six CPC found it unjust and recommended same pay scale for same rank of these MNS officers with other Army personnel. But there are newspaper reports that Group of Secretaries made adverse recommendations for these MNS commissioned officers. Will it not be a sexual bias ?

Clever Fox CBDT

CBDT released a long list of Addl CITs promoted to CITs and their places of posting. The transfer policy says that officers will normally be posted out on promotion. So, what should poor CBDT do because the policy does not suit them. CBDT only disclosed the places to which these officers but not the last place of posting. Very Very very clever CBDT. Another instance of defying the transfer policy.

Battle lines are drawn

After CBDT orders of Commissioners of Income Tax, the battle lines are drawn. Now the betting is on where the battle will go-to the political leadership, the corporate leaders, to CAT or to Supreme Court through a PIL.
IRS Vigilante

Nervous Nervous Nervous.

The Whispers in the whispers has led to many cold shivers among IRS officers who now fear what details will be revealed next. It is understood that there are lot of nervous private meetings and telephone chats about how to stem the tide of anger.

Order is ok but___

In this connection, I have a suggestion that when there are officers who are willing to exchange places, or who can be accommodated for family or personal reasons ,the CBDT should go ahead and allow a swap/change so that the percentage disgruntlement is reduced. There is no reason to have officers from Orissa or Tamilnadu or UP etc to forcibly remain in a state other than that of his choice (for family/medical reasons) against his wishes when all he wants is proximity to his own state after attaining almost 55 years of age which is very much possible. I am sure the Chairman CBDT who has been praised a lot will live up to his image by making necessary changes, based on his own wisdom without depending on the so called lower functionaries in his own set up.
