with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister For
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan victory of the
Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in recent assembly polls is yet another milestone
in many ways. However, Chouhan who has all along enjoyed the reputation of being
the man next door has well defined goal of putting Madhya Pradesh on fast track
of growth. Chouhan has the rare distinction of ensuring return of the BJP
to power for second term in Madhya Pradesh & that too in a row. However, he
quite candid to admit that for him "service to people comes first, than anything
else." In an interview to <whispersinthecorridors.com>Chief
Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unraveled his roadmap for next five years.
Here are excerpts from his interview:
Question: -. What is your source of inspiration that keeps you going?
Answer: -To me, work is way of worshipping.
I often say in my speeches that every person doing his work dutifully and devotedly
is actually devotee of the God. The God is not an abstract being. The God expresses
himself through the deeds that we do for social good. Question:-How do
you like to relax? Answer:-I like
to relax by spending quality time with the family members. Also by reading books.
Swami Vivekanand is my personal favourite. Question: -What steps are you
taking to make bureaucracy more responsive? Answer:-I
have taken up the exercise of "Jandarshan" for this very purpose. Even
the exercise of Manthan was aimed again for this very goal. In addition to this
during my previous tenure "CM MONIT" was a regular exercise attempted
by me & so was "Samadhan online". Now I intend to strengthen these
activities & also plan to introduce some new measures. Question: -Do
you think that it is high time to introduce Police Commissioners system in cities
like Indore & Bhopal? Answer: -At
this juncture I would only like to say that I would certainly see to it that the
effectiveness of police machinery improves. Question: - What are your plans
for rapid industrialization in Madhya Pradesh? Answer:-In
the last term we have gone whole for increasing industrial investment in the state.
However, due to the global Economic meltdown, we have also been impacted. But,
wait for a while, we will be rebounding soon. Question:- As public perception
is that there is going to be a rampant corruption because election was quite expensive.
How are you going to counter corruption? Answer:-In
matters of controlling corruption, I would prefer that my actions speak &
not me. IAS changes in Assam

First Congress got Antulay speak so as to woo its vote bank!!! And now it's
got Diggy to try to pull on BJP a 'we handle terror better' prank!!!
'I got this info from newspapers' Diggy karr raha hai say, His Party is calling
the shots so why does he have to depend on hearsay???? Just see the irony
.
Terror outfits got bolder and bolder as UPA fibbed and fobbed!!! Mohna spoke
for Congress's vote bank as by terror Indian lives were robbed!!! On
account of vote bank politics vital info on terror attacks was ignored!!!
All the inputs on terror in some file were stored!! Now after the attacks
Congress is back to pandering to its vote bank!!! First Antulay tried to pull
off a prank and now Diggy's tried to pull off a prank!! No concern that
such pranks weaken India 's stand!!! India 's being slapped on the face time
and again by The Hand!!! Congress ka haath is only Congress ke saath!!!
With India and Indians this pandering is sheer vishwasghaat!!! Seems
Omar was able to make Abdullah Diwana concede!!!! They say Abduallah Diwana
first tried to bully and then tried to plead!!! His logic
. let
this term be my swan song or gaana!!! Tried to use bahaana after bahaana!!!
Omar in the end put his foot down and Congress came to his aid!!! Congress's
stand ' Prerequisite for our support is that CM Omar has to be made'!!
Prior to that Azad did try a stunt or two but then he was told!!!! Rahul's
interested in Omar and Azad' feet got suddenly very cold!! Yes as Congress
is in a strong position it'll drive a hard bargain!!! And NC will have to
realize ' no pain no gain'!!!! Mr. Ram from The Hindu has to realize
that US knows India 's real stand!!! India is not interested in attacking
terror as long as reigns in Dilli are in The Hand!! And though I'm totally
against what Israel is doing in Gaza one must understand! That behind Israel
karr raha hai US solidly stand!!! So once India decides it wants to attack
terror US will come to India 's aid!!! And for a war against terror an alliance
will be made!!! Remember the terrorists training in Pakistan take US to
be the Devil incarnate!!! Want Americans and America to meet a dastardly fate!! So
its in US's interests to strike at the Paki terror camps that spout hate for USA!!
Motto of terror camps.....US has attacked Islam so make US pay!!! To attack
terror camps in Pakistan US knows Indian Congress lacks both lacks guts and will!
Congress is not willing to foot the attack on terror fallout bill!!!
The bill is alienating its vote bank!!!! Because if India goes hard on terror
Congress's vote majority minority votes will tank! Jaya's gone with Commies
and Chiranjeevi's all of a sudden donned secular attire!!! BJP's southern
plans are on fire!!! Though post elections likes and dislikes could change!!!
And for Indian Politics this is nothing strange!! BJP will have to make
up in UP and at present this looks improbable!!! Yes with an alliance in UP
BJP can make this probable!!! Congress seems to be gaining ground with
BJP tripping in the South
. BJP jaago!!!! Kaam pe laago !!!
BJP needs to work on the Indian electronic Media as it's totally BJP ke khilaaf!!!
Like take NDTV,IBN, Times which employ at lot of Baba logh staff!!!!
Baba logh have with Congress a natural affinity or attraction
made for each
other!!! And for long Congress karr rahi hai Baba logh in the Media ko mother!!!
Confucius says
. BJP needs to replicate Congress!!!! Congress dresses
everything in secularism and in Desh Bhakti sabh kuch BJP karre dress! Bharat

Retirement age must not be increased The country is facing thousands
of other problems which need attention of the authorities. If the authorities
are going ahead with increase in retirement age they are inviting the blunders.
I would like to ask as if the government is not able to meet the expenditure on
gratuity etc now then wherefrom and how will this government bring the required
funds after two/three years. I would call upon the young generation to come forward
to block any move of the government to increase the age of retirement. I pray
that at least someone in the government think of this country deteriorating condition. KaushalIncreasing
the retirement age against anti-youth Increasing the retirement age is
only a proof to show that this government is functioning like a subji market without
having any value for the yougsters who are more qualified and have more knowledge
about usage of computers etc. Instead of using this, the govt. wants experience
and that too of the government servants who are due to retire. In the Ministries;
already government servants like SO, US, DS, Sr.PPS/PPS/PAs and stenos who have
crossed 50 years are just whiling away their time. May be government wants this
experience rather than our knowledge. A shameful and useless misleading proposal
just suting the persons who have lived an unplanned life. R P Saran Extension
to all Govt servants would be detrimental Giving 65 years to Scientists
is fine as they are professionally qualified and need to be retained. But this
is not the same with civil servants. Already there are many organisations where
they go after retirement especially the IAS. Giving extension to all Government
servants will prove detrimental for the Manmohan Singh Govt as in the times of
meltdown when youngsters are losing their jobs, giving extension to already pampered
government servants will be like rubbing salt into the wounds of our youth. Ashok
Tomar PDP's loss of power in Jammu and Kashmir PDP's loss of
power in Jammu and Kashmir reminds me of the days when the daughter of a prominent
leader was kidnapped and in exchange for the daughter's life, deadly militants
were freed by this country. The same leaders do not pay adequate heed to this
"soft state" which restored their children to them. In any other country,
their children would have been sacrificed at the altar of security. Perhaps the
people have seen through their game and relegated them to the sidelines. In the
NC, we have at least a young and dynamic leader from whom greater things are expected.
In our PM, we have a wise leader and under his leadership, surely J&K will
be back on the road to prosperity, development, unity, amity and brotherhood. A
K Singh Why are we a soft state? Because we have always been
so? Or because of the hot climate of this country? Or because the Indian is lazy,
indolent? Because we are self seeking and self serving? Because nothing matters
as long as we are well ourselves? Because we are a divided lot and our neighbour
knows it? Because we are weak and afraid? Because there are too many of us? Because
we know Pakistan has a bomb? Because the USA does not want us to fight the Pakis?
Because we do not want to fight the Pakis since we think they are our brethren?
Because of our politicians? Because we are secular? Because we are communal, casteist,
narrow, parochial, regionalist, language chauvinistic, selfish, greedy, corrupt?
Because of our bureaucracy? Because of our system? Answers, anyone? The rest of
the world suffers from the same problems, but they do not suffer from terror attacks
at will without responding. Diplomatic pressure against AK47s, bombs and fidayeen
attacks. Seems to be working? Vijay Kumar is India's sovereignty
a saleable commodity? After all this sabre-rattling by the Indo-Pak leaders,
has the crisis been defused finally? Has Pak now agreed to hand over all the listed
terrorists to India? If so, what is the time schedule for it? Is there any secret
deal? Is India's sovereignty sought to be compromised ? Is the GOI waiting for
the next fidayeen attack on its territory? Are we confident that the listed terrorists
will be surrendered by Pak to India through dialogues for proper trials? Has the
suggestion made by several strategic experts of India for launching a hot-pursuit
into PAK territory and demolish all infrastructures accommodating the terrorists
been considered? What will happen if these so-called non-state actors become the
state actors of Pakistan! A K Saxena ( A retired civil servant ) |
