Aaj Ki Aawaz
Like I said in Karnataka Congress would get bashed,
And Gowdas will get thrashed!!!

Bangarapa proved to be a molehill being touted as a mountain,
Congress took a small leak in a pipe to be a fountain!!!!

Gowda senior can take as many catnaps as he wants and junior can laze about,
In this election Gowda's ka toh ho gaya hai total rout!!

IBN had predicted a Congress win,
And today on TV you can see that both Rajdeep and Yadav karr rahe hai shamelessly grin!!!!

Every time an election is announced IBN predicts a Congress win,
And then all the IBN anchors have a sheepish look when Congress takes it on the chin!!!

Sardesai should take a banwaas from psephololgy!!!
It's now proved beyond doubt that IBN's psephology is sheer dhapalogy (fibs) !!!

Now Sonia's think tank is working on how to deflect responsibility for this loss???
But responsibility definitely lies with the Boss!!!!

SM Krishna is just a loyal soldier but he' not the one in command!!!!
Blame lies with Congress's High Command!

Rahul Baba's road show proved to be a total flop!!!!
So now will his road shows stop????

Some Congressis say now whispers that rebellion in Congress will commence,
So Sonia has reason to be tense!!!

How will it start???
In Sonia's presence some Congressis will lift 'the cheek' and fart!!

Knowing fully well that in High Command's (HC) presence this is banned!!!!!
Rule 26. :If you have urge to pass gas in HC presence it should be internally canned!!!

Rule 26 (i) If condition is uncontrollable please indicate by holding your nose,
Rule 26 (i a) Then run out of the room and behind you the door you should tightly close!!!

Rule 26 (ii) If situation is uncontrollable and you pass gas then you have to make amends!
Rule 26 (iii) Oral 25 and rear 50 forward touch toe bends!!!

Rule 26 (iv) High Command can increase, decrease or condone punishment,
Congressmen suffer from gas and to control passing of gas Clause 26 is meant!!!

Now coming to why Congress has lost????
Basically for horrible governance of UPA Congress has paid the cost!!!

Be it inflation or terrorism Congress just gave excuses,
Public saw that all that Congress did was unleash on BJP for its mistakes abuses!!!

Look at PC he still says UPA will not be affected by inflation,
Seems he's physically in Delhi but mentally he's out of station!!!

Inflation will wipe out Congress even in States where it's hopeful to stage a comeback!!!
Public takes inflation as a stab in the back!!!!

So Madam Sonia please don't pay heed to what PC is saying or advising,
And PC needs some urgent downsizing!!!

Fuel duties and taxes are unreasonable and when you travel by air see the tax you pay,
Five times the actual fare you can say!!!

Victory for SAD in Amritsar and BJP in Hamirpur, in Haryana Congress two seats and Bhajan won one,
SS won in Thane and in Meghalaya NCP won!!!!

Congress faced UPA's anti incumbency in State elections… BJP should contemplate!!!
In General Elections BJP will face anti incumbency in every BJP ruled State!!

Its time that BJP considered this and did chintan on this eventuality,
Complacency and BJP's chances to stage a comeback would be the causality!!!

Congress on the other hand needs to understand,
That UPA's performance is bajaoing Congress band!!!

And now the weathercock in UP Naresh Agarwal has dumped SP,
Where will he go BJP or BSP????

Rahul Baba can have a meal in every UP Dalit's home,
The entire State he can roam.

But still he'll not be able to even make Congress jump form fourth to third place!!!
In UP Congress total rout karti hai face!!!!

I won't be surprised if Congress faces defeat in Gandhi Burroughs,
Gandhis at present don't see the dissenting furrows!!!

Come general elections if public in the Burroughs feel Congress is not coming back in Dilli!!!
Towards the Gandhis they will turn chilly!!!

Congress has thrown Amar Singh a 'haddi'!!!!
Now his SUV will be accompanied by a gun toting Z plus guards ki gaddi (car)!!!

At the UPA do Sonia made it clear that with Amar she's still katti,
And he will have to do katti with Big B to so that with him Sonia becomes batti!!!

Confucius says…… Let's see who will be first to blink!!!
Will Amar blink and forsake Big B or will Sonia blink and accept Amar's Big B link????

A letter to her father
This is mail to my dearest father to tell him that he has made all of us very proud today with his extremely tough decision. Today I am so proud to be the daughter of Prashant Mishra. The decision was a decision which only a person like papa can take. Papa has once again proved that nothing is more dear and important to him than the principles on which he has led his life for so long. Never to given into any pressure, he has shown through his action once again that no one can make him do anything which is against his integrity. I am upset not because papa took VRS, but because of the circumstances that led to his VRS. It's not his loss but the loss of Mayawati and the State of UP that they did not value a human being who fights for the truth. My respect for him has gone up a few notches above after this incident. I'm reminded of the lines by Harivansh Rai Bacchan: Main hun unke saath khada jo seedhi rakte apni reedh. He could not have written a more apt line to describe papa. We, as his family, is solidly behind his decision. Thank you papa for being who you are. We all love you very much and respect your decision.

IAS-Do not waste your time on this or any other forum
Working very closely with a few IAS officers have given me a fairly good idea as to how IAS would remain no.1 service despite all the clamour. Other services cannot even think of coming somewhat close to it. Its a formidable combination of political class, business interests and bureaucracy. Other services can keep on beating the trumpet but nothing is going to change it is just not possible at least not in the near future. Just stop wasting efforts on this or any other forum. Its a closed case and arguments are not going to decide it.

Implementation will destroy morale
Implementation of the 6th Pay Commission in its current form is bound to destroy the morale of the entire Government and armed forces machinery.

We hope real issue will be dealt with matured manner
The committee may please examine what would be the financial implications if the services are brought at par with the IAS;
They may then weigh whether financially it is really unviable to bring the services at par especially if such gesture results in erasing heart burn in the services and thus ensures harmony and removes heartburn which is one of the causes of dissatisfaction. This should not be seen from the point of view of one upmanship but in the light of providing equal respect for the services. One only hopes that we keep egos aside and ponder over real issue in matured manner.

Hopefully amendments will disprove
Hopefully the amendments will disprove the famous Orwellian edict "All animals are equal, but some are more equal"

Instead of screening by CBI -----
Instead of screening by CBI before promotion as is being suggested by some, I think better alternative would be to give wide publicity ,invite objections to names under consideration and hold a public hearing . This will ensure transparency accountability and those with skeletons in their cupboards or poor track record will themselves opt out. Otherwise even those against whom there are serious cases of corruption or are otherwise inefficient and spineless or lacking in professionalism will continue to not only manage to reach top positions but also get post retirement sinecures because of complete secrecy maintained in the promotion or appointment process .Now when officers themselves have started seeking information under RTI Act under their own names and CIC has become quite active in imposing penalty, signs of fear and panic are clearly visible in some quarters. Therefore instead of frittering away time and energy on blaming IAS or proving that non IAS are no less better than IAS, joint pooled efforts should be made to bring about transparency, accountability and rationality in governance system.

Mittal is a fine police officer
RK Mittal is a fine person. He is a committed police officer we all must
remember his brave attitude when he was manhandled in Pakistan.

VRS by P K Mishra
It is the sign of the times that honest and upright officers like PK Mishra seek VRS. The corrupt and manageable prosper! Misra's exemplary conduct as a public servant should be an example for all other officers. It would be ideal if such officers could be roped in to train new recruits at the various academies on how to follow principles of honesty and integrity in public life.

Bureaucracy should innovate
Comments in whispers column of late tend to compare other services with IAS, which has commandeered most Secretary-level posts and the highest Pay, leaving the rest second best. The reason proffered of a coordinating role is untenable. All officers as they move up, whether in IPS, IRS, IPOS, IRS etc. too need to coordinate within GoI to deliver. It is not only a District Collector/DM who needs to coordinate. The country can reach its zenith only if every government servant is motivated to work in the belief that democracy recognises his worth and he has a fair chance of making it to the top. Else, others in revenue (IRS), law & order (IPS), railways (IRTS/IRAS), audit (IAAS)would not be motivated to give their best. In fairness these services should also be equitable themselves without poaching within(IPS vis-a-vis CBI..), (IRTS vs IRAS) etc and with group B. Another greater anomaly which does not even have a fig leaf of a cover is the service years for promotion to JS level- IAS vs. the rest. And what about being allowed to work in private sector, retaining GOI job, would other services not benefit by enriching their experience? It is as though an officer's worth is determined in ONE exam valid for the next 30+ years that however well one in other services performs there is a glass ceiling!! Surprisingly not a single voice from IAS has argued otherwise(that perhaps speaks for the leadership quality of those supposedly in coordination!!). India opened up in the 90's because bureaucracy was unable to deliver. By every act of inequity the collective worth is only reduced. It is about time that IAS allows others to be given what is their due so that India moves forward, else the entire bureaucracy would be collectively reduced to irrelevance. Interestingly, one IAS officer said politicians/governance cannot do without them. Democracy would ensure survival of elected representatives, it is only the bureaucracy which should innovate and deliver to retain its relevance.
An officer of the so-called "twice-born" service.

OBC reservation in UPSC exams.
After the hon'ble SC stay, the present position would be 50 per cent reservation for general category candidates. Was this the way SC/ST reservations were applied by the UPSC in the past.

Need for a revolution
Kudos to AK Saxena for expressing his views so candidly about the disharmony created by the IAS in the civil services to make the non IAS services subservient to them. There is now a need for a nothing less than a Revolution in the Indian Union Bureaucracy as well as the state bureaucracy in so far as the members of State PCS officers are concerned. Dr Suresh Mehrotra is requested take up the campaign started by Saxena.

Arup Bhattacharya a PCS officers of West Bengal.
