Lateral Entry of CSSS in CSS
With reference query by S L Shah on "Will any organised service allow
lateral entry to their service?", I would say that the Government
of India (GoI ) is one of the biggest organized sectors. Lateral entry
was prevalent in GoI for more than four decades. Still it is continuing
in some form or the others in various departments of GoI. It may be observed
that CPCs are considered expert bodies in cadre matters and hence constituted
from time to time. The 6th CPC has vehemently recommended merger of both
general and stenographic cadre with a view to envisaging multi-skilling
in GoI so that present-day 'conveyor belt' system can be done away with
and a single official is assigned the job presently being done by PA-Assistant/PS-SO/PPS-US/Sr.
PPS-DS etc. How can we negate this fact?
In this connection the verdict by Madras High Court on Writ Petition No.
6550/2006, Government of Tamil Nadu, vide its order dated 18.5.2007, has
allowed lateral entry of steno-typist to the post of Superintendent. The
said order has been signed by LK Tripathy, Chief Secretary, Tamil Nadu.

Silence of ISS officers amazing
It is surprising to find silence among ISS officers, who normally jump
and frown upon any body who writes about them. They have not responded
to the observations regarding their deceit to the cabinet made in the
whispers on 7-8-2008. Their action justify the adage " Lies, Damn
Lies, Statistics."

Only people of the Country are Supreme
There is too much of hue and cry here on the board about the demands of
Defence Service Personnel and their comparison specially vis a vis the
Supreme IAS. Look, people in the country are Supreme...supreme than the
system which created IAS. Let us have a referendum in the Country on the
issue. If one knows the reality, then he / she is requested to just keep
quite. Kindly do not malign the Armed Forces.

Enough of rhetoric on 'how difficult the army service is' and 'how honest
and holy the army service is' has already been written on this forum by
various writers and every body has now well understood how difficult the
army service really is even when posted to BRO, MES, DGQA, AFHQ, Sena
Bhavan, numerous metros and peaceful Cantonments. Please say something
new now. As regards the comment on 'the country full of corrupt civilians'
you may be enlightened that the Service officers are the most corrupt
lot in the country who are eating the ration/facilities of even Jawans.
If you are not convinced, please key-in 'corruption in Indian army' in
google tool bar and have a reading of 1000 pages of corruption in top
levels of army. Happy reading to you and now stop painting yourself as
direct descendant of Raja Harish Chandra.
