Don't forget Inspector Sharma's sacrifice !
I agree with AK Saxena that it is shame at the apathy of corporate houses towards martyrs like Sharma. They are ready to offer crores as bribe (Nanda case) but would not come forward to help the patriot. They are expected to do something to encourage such officers. The attitude of VC, Jamia Milia also justifies why the non-muslims are looking at any Muslim suspiciously. We have no objection for his call of providing legal assistance to his students but at least he should give a hint that he is a nationalist/patriot first and Muslim later. Should he not say a few words about Inspector Sharma's sacrifice so that other such officers are encouraged or else, it appears he is one of those who are more comfortable with officers who turn their back at the criminal after taking bribe.

ACP scheme be implemented
The ACP scheme should be implemented to remove stagnation and not to who are not able to climb the ladder through Limited Departmental Examinations. It should be as clear as that whosoever completes 10, 20,30 and stagnates and does not get any promotion within this period should be eligible to be grant of ACP. All ifs and buts should be removed, only then real intention behind ACP will be implemented.

6th CPC is the worst
An heartening news, if it is so. But in actual what was given by PMO and Chairperson UPA is being snatched away delibrately. For example, in September 2006 Government revised the pay scale of certain Group B non-Gazetted cadres of central secretariat from Rs. 5500-175-9000 to Rs. 6500-200-10500 but the 6th CPC and officers implementing the 6th CPC have undone it by recommending and adopting the Pay Band of Rs. 9300-34800+Grade Pay i.e. now at initial stage it has been brought down to Rs.5000-150-8000 down gradation even from the earlier 5500-175-9000. It is a well known fact that these cadres of Central Government are Group B non-Gazetted employees and their pay cannot be less than Group C employees but the whole Report show that number of categories which are Group C and were getting lower scale has been put up at higher stage than Group B staff. Perhaps this categorization takes care only from Class I of Group A staff and above where every care has been taken that they do not much higher than multiplication factor of 1.86 which is applicable to only lower categories. This is the only Pay Commission and Government where step motherly treatment has been given to those categories who have no reach in decision making and implementing the Pay Commission Report. It has been shown that how 'Charity begins at home'. This is one example. There are numerous others. This is causing resentment among the staff and should be taken care of. There should be an impartial forum to look into all these anomalies either submitted individually or through some forum.

Saxena's comments are eye opening for the Private Sector and Govt. sector too. The government accepts the fact that he has done a commending job chasing the terrorists. Is his services lesser than a sports person or for that matter even a army man. Now, battles are not fought on the front, it is rather within the territory. Whether the compensation given to his family is commensurate with that of an army man or a sports star. The government and the Private Sector should do their duty towards this hero of the nation in an equitable manner. Otherwise, every parent will like their children to be sport persons and not go in Police or army. Let their sacrifice not dump the spirit of others who dare enough to take such challenges and do not hesitate to give their life for sake of nation and its people.
