How long the "Gandhi clan" ?
A handful of senior Congress leaders were heard discussing on the question of "how far the Gandhi clan will rule the roost in Congress party?" Of course in a closed door dinner meeting some one said that Sonia Gandhi should be asked to step down from the post of AICC president if Congress loses in the ensuing general elections. Other leader was of the view that there can be a Front without anyone from Nehru Gandhi family. It means thinking of a split in the Congress has already started. The only question is - Will it be possible in the present set up of the Congress party ?.

SCOPE to increase interface with Govt, Regulatory Bodies
In a bid to create an environment of cooperation and better understanding of role of Central Vigilance Commission CVC and the competitive environment in which public enterprises are performing, Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) is out to give impetus to its interface with the government, regulatory bodies and policy makers for creating favourable policies and regulatory framework to safeguard the interests of public enterprises, according to its Chairman Arup Roy Choudhury. He gave the above information at the conclusion of the Open House on "The Way Forward For SCOPE", held at Delhi recently. SCOPE, he said, has already taken up the matter with the Central Vigilance Commissioner and will soon have interaction meeting with other regulatory bodies like Comptroller & Auditor General of India (CAG) and Central Information Commission (CIC) so that these regulatory bodies act as facilitators in decision making process of PSEs. Some of the suggestions emerged during the Open House were to enhance visibility and stature of SCOPE, increase interface with government and regulatory bodies for further empowerment and to effectively address issues affecting PSEs performance, separation of business and governance, speedy decision making process, formation of expert groups and sectoral committees in various fields, develop management cadre for board level and below board level executives for effective leadership etc. SCOPE's outgoing Chairman Sarthak Behuria handed over the flag of SCOPE to its new Chairman Choudhury.

Aaj Ki Aawaz
Chalo casting of votes has commenced!!!!!
And rest assured their own fates the candidates have sensed.
Those expecting loss will put up a brave face!!!!
But they know they've lost the electoral race!!!!
Then it's basically hope against hope!!!
And any candidate who cannot judge the outcome is a dope!!!
Laloo for one knows he could lose!!!!
No wonders two constituencies Laloo ne kee choose!!!!
Like in Delhi in Bihar too performance is going to pay in the election!!!!!
Public will reward performance and non performers will face rejection!!!
Just think post election Laloo's condition…….he's in for a lean period of a few years!!!
And he's getting more and more morose as May 16 nears!!!!
Priyanka should realize that Rahul has not proved his capability for the top slot!!!!!!
Seems too senti the Sis got!!!!!
Okay she feels he is PM material!!!!!
But till he proves himself a Sis's statement out of love is immaterial!!!
And my guess is she's got the political itch!!!!!
In one scabbard there cannot be two swords is the only hitch!!!!
Advani seems to only ' sulk or abuse'!!!!!!
Now for not inviting him to Somnath Da's do in time PM ko karr raha hai Advani accuse!!!!
As he's already termed Mohna as nikama he should have no complaints about this!!!!!
'Nikamaness' made Mohna delay the invitation or sending it the miss!!!!
All the abuse Advani has heaped on Mohna has made Advani's image fall!!!!!!!
' Cry baby' many karr rahe hai Loh Purash ko call!!!!
Mulayam they say is itching to become the Defence Minister again!!!!!
In his previous stint a lot of experience kiya Mulayam ne 'gain'!!!!
Amar wants Mulayam to be the FM but Mulayam is not good with numbers!!!!!
When it comes to numbers Mulayam slumbers!!!!
Amar has nightmares that SP will miss the bus this time too!!!!
He often dreams that after the election he's standing outside 10 Janpath aur karr rah hai boo!
What will happen if Jaya becomes the FM…….. PC's worst nightmare?????
PC will feel a current run through his body the minute Jaya sits in FM's chair!!!
Dhoni and Bhajan's name should be expunged from the awardees list!!!!!
Bogus are the excuses that both karr rahe hai list!!!!
Dhoni was shooting for an ad and Bhaji was finalizing contract for marketing Bhaji Brand!!!
Maybe because there was no cash involved both felt this award was not grand!!!
Confucius says…… had the award carried a cash award of one khoka!!!!
They would not have given the Padma Shree award ceremony dhoka!!!!
Adds...... For Sarkaari Awards there should be a lifetime ban on both!!!!
What they've done Nation karr rahi hai loathe!!!

Have the states started using EC?
It seems that some State Governments have started using the Election Observer to harass few select officers by sponsoring them on duty even three times in a year where as those close to the powers be are either not sponsored or even if deployed are got exempted in the name of so called important assignments. The State Governments take shelter of Election Commission in such deployments
that it is the EC which selects the officers. However this is far from
truth. EC only calls for the name from the State Government and those
who are sponsored are deployed by the EC. So it is now a new tool of
harassment and EC should take notice of this fact that its powers are
being misused by the State Governments. It would also be quite
interesting if the EC launches an inquiry into the fact that those who
got exemption from Observer duty on recommendation of the State
Government were doing what during the elections. Some of these names
may be even well known close aids of the political parties. Therefore
exempting them might be even worse for the fair and free conduct of
the polls! Will the EC examine the issue and make a guideline or use
its powers to stop this misuse in its name.

Softest Prime Minister also
It may not be good to say that Manmohan Singh is the weakest Prime Minister. But it is a fact that he was the softest and very inactive Prime Minister also. During these 5 years, whenever there was a Cabinet Reshuffle, it was done only within the congress party and never he had the guts to touch the other parties in UPA and he had left it to their regional party leader. But this was not the case when NDA was in power. Apart from this the bureaucrats are enjoying a luxurious lift style in his regime which was not there when NDA was in power. Apart from this; this UPA government has no control over traders who are increasing the rates of essential items like dal, sugar, rice, wheat, atta, soaps etc. as per their wish in a illogic way. In the main vegetable markets, apart from regular vendors, more are the number of illegal persons who misbehave with public coming there and there is no policeman to monitor this. In every place, these taxi stand fellows have unauthorisedly occupied every available space meant for public/residents in government colonies. This they have done with the help of local MP and other concerned officials. Though there are many traffic lights; most of the time these do not function and they function only when any VIP is to pass by that side. Apart from these, many more things can be mentioned; but all these has reached an uncontrollable stage only during these 5 years. This this UPA government have to accept.

Transfer of CISF Officers
For past few days, we are reading routine transfers of CISF officers at the level of Dy Comdt or Comdt etc. There are 7 Central Para-Military Forces in India and routine posting/transfers are ordered by the concerned Forces on tenure basis. If you start publishing all such transfers, the whole site will fall short and also this makes no sense from the point of public interest. Shall be grateful, if you stop inserting this type of useless news. Thanks.

UDCs case pending
The issue of disparity/ anamolies in the pay structure of UDCs is pending since 4th Pay Commission.
Therefore, hey Govt. of India ke UDC ab tere samne bagawat karne ke alawa koi dusra rasta nahin hai. isiliye ab man lagakar kaam karne ki bajaye kamchori karo aur jahan tak ho sake holidays manao. phir yadi afsar puchhe to kahna ki pahle nyay chahiye.

Only one issue this election
The print and electronic media is expressing concern this election for local issues overtaking national issues. However, these are totally unfounded fears. There is only one issue before the Indian voter this election and it happens to be local as well as national at the same time for the first time in Indian democratic history. The issue is corruption. The Indian voter can not indulge in indolence, ignore core issues, consume free wine for one night and complain for next five years when his MP sucks his blood on a daily basis. The Indian voter should not get fooled by illusory dreams of making India a super power without choosing people who can convert this dream into a reality. The Indian voter has to decide the following this election:
Do we want a parliament comprising 545 corrupt members?
Do we want a thoroughly corrupt Civil/police/defence/judicial/scientific/technical/medical/revenue/education service or an honest, dedicated, service minded service?
Do we want flight of Indian capital to Swiss banks/other tax havens or retain it here in the country?
Do we want intimidating neighbours like the ones we have now or we want affable and respectful neighbours?
Do we need a free print & electronic media or an embedded one?
The choice is clear. The issue is both local as also national. The Indian voter has to decide. It can ill afford to leave it at that and be unconcerned about it. The desperation, anger & angst of visitors to whispersinthecorridors.com reflects the agony of us all Indians across caste, community, religion, region, language, gender, political mindset. For his/her non performance/indecision the Indian voter can not and must not blame anybody else.

New Store Opened
A store that sells new husbands has opened in New York City, where a
woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance
is a description of how the store operates:
You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value
of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper
may choose any item from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to
the next floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!
So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first
floor the sign on the door reads:
Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs.
She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor, where the sign
reads:
Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids.
'That's nice,' she thinks, 'but I want more.'
So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads:
Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, and are Extremely Good
Looking.
'Wow,' she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.
She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:
Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking
and Help With Housework.
'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!'
Still, she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads:
Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous, Help
with Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak.
She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor, where the
sign reads:
Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on
this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible
to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.
PLEASE NOTE:
To avoid gender bias charges, the store's owner opened a New Wives
store just across the street.
The first floor has wives that love sex.
The second floor has wives that love sex and have money and like beer.
The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors have never been visited.
