PMEAC members have Minister's rank All
four members of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council (PMEAC) have been
granted the rank of Minister of State. What does
Rangrajan's appointment as PMEAC Chairman mean ? The appointment
of Rangarajan as Chairman of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council (PMEAC)
is seen as part of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh's efforts to ensure faster
economic recovery after the global economic meltdown that has had its adverse
effects. And now the story from the Heart of Incredible
India While there is only one property of ITDC in profits and its
reputation in tatters, the situation in the heart of Incredible India, namely
Madhya Pradesh is just the opposite. Each and every single property of the state
tourism corporation ( 57 profit centers ) is in healthy profits. The turnover
of the corporation has increased by almost six times in as many years and the
operating ratio is the envy of even the private sector. Surprisingly the man responsible
for this miracle is the same who turned around ITDC in 2002. It is true that given
the right leadership, the public sector can easily outshine the private sector. Alok

to have a more exciting look in the days to come as it would also carry the accomplishments

these ER sheets, which appear to be boring, carry total work experience with places
of postings and the training courses he or she has attended. It would now also
carry awards and citations won by the bureaucrat in whose sheet they find mention.

Aaj
Ki Aawaz BJP State Units sent in their reports
on ' Why BJP lost'!!!! And practically all said that for Advani being named
PM BJP paid the cost!!! The reports will be bypassed!!!!! Only one or
two that do not say this by the screening committee have been passed!! Those
Leaders who have spoken openly about a change at the top!!! From the invitees
list kiya gaya hai unn ko drop!!!!! Though RSS says Advani should be retired!!!!!
A polite way to say ' Advani you are fired'!!!! Really on the part of Advani
this is besharmi ki hadd!!!! And because of his recent antics he's reduced
his kadd (stature)!!! Some adhesive manufacturing company should use Advani's
example in its ad campaign! 'His stickiness' is BJP's loss though for him
its 'ghar and perks' ka gain!!! It's Maya who is defrauding Dalits
wastage
ka fraud!!!!! Dalits weep from inside though in front of her they applaud!!!
After all they too can see the blatant statues ke lie paisa ka waste!!!!!
Their stomachs are aching and in their moths the statues have left a bitter taste!!!
Her ' Dalit ki beti' or 'we too can do this if Manuwadis can' is now waning!!!!
Barish ka koi naamo nishaan nahi only statues it's raining!!! Maya's comments
that Sonia's defrauding Dalits shows Sonia is getting through to them! And
this Maya desperately wants to stem!!!! Speaking of Sonia
if I
were her I would be worried sick!!! Swine flu and drought have on both ends
of the candle lighted the wick!!!! Now let's see how the Sarkaar redeems itself
it's
made a bad start!!!! And then Sarkaar has an Agri and Food Mantri who has
made 'chai paani' into an art!!! If Pawar remains in control it'll be like
putting a hen pen in a wolf's charge!!!! And what do you thing a wolf will
do
.into the hen pen he'll barge!!!! And very soon in the hen pen there
will be only feathers all around!!! Some way to keep Pawar the Mantri but
only for namesake has to be found!!! Why not appoint a GOM to tackle the drought???
Some technocrats can also be appointed to help out!!!! I recall when AIDS
first showed its ugly head some people said!!!! It's an invention of a Pharmaceutical
Giant and first humanity will be bled!!! Then when all hope is lost the Pharmaceutical
Giant will say ' we have a cure'!!!!! Make mega trillions
..after all
money is a big lure!!! Mexico was the epicenter of Swine Flu but now its all
quite in Mexico !!! Did swine flu pack its bags from Mexico and go????
Our electronic Media are like hyenas and in Swine Flu they've smelt blood!!!
And now on our TV screens there is literally 'swine flu ka flood'!!! GDP, IIP,
Inflation etc., are all fudged .... tailor made to suit Sarkaar!!!! If required
the figures are fudged like saying ek plus ek is chaar!!! Mohna being an economist
knows that damage when fudging of data is done!!!! The fight against rising
prices or stagnating growth can never be won!! Like today CNBC 18 says 'market
ignores fantastic IIP data' ....and why? Because market knows its just one
more lie!!! Confucius says..... be true to yourself don't fib or lie!!!
And whenever data is put out always ask ' how and why'!!!! Adds.... never take
Sarkaari figures for granted!!!! Figures are fudged and info planted!! Bharat

(The views expressed in this column are of the contributors.
We do not owe any responsibility, whatsoever, of the views of our surfers as they
are their personal opinion) Central services inter se competition
In the Forum column of Whispers, one sees continuous comparisons and competition
amongst various central services like IAS, IFS, IPS etc. over various matters
related to pay, postings, promotions, even relatively frivolous matters like empanelment
etc. with each service trying to prove itself superior and more deserving than
others . It s high time the bureaucrats realized that they are there to do a job
in the service of the country and not to meet their self-serving goals. They have
a more responsible role to play as their decisions and views affect the progress
of the country. Lay people like me would certainly like to see these bureaucrats
writing in these columns about which cadre is more superior than the others in
terms of honesty, integrity, and commitment as well as competency and efficiency.
The public is simply not liking their constant attempts to get a better deal from
the tax payers' money. Let this be the clear message to them from the public,
on the eve of the Independence Day. I Khan All Kudos to Rajibv
Mathur ! Congratulations to Rajiv Mathur Sir. We have firm belief that
the CCTNS Project will be implemented in letter and spirit under his able stewardship
which will benefit both the Police Department as well as the general public. Inderjeet
Singh Is this legal? A certain dept in North Block, considers
representations for postings but records only those that it wants to do. The ones
that are not done are kept pending indefinitely so they are technically not rejected.
I applied for copies of note sheet and was denied. Is this correct under RTI Act
1965? Suresh Sahgal Irregularity in allotments of plots &
flats by NOIDA & GNOIDA NOIDA & GNOIDA are not the only authorities
implicated for corrupt practice and subsequent suspension of 3 IAS & 13 PCS
officers by UP Government who were involved in the gory affairs. All such land
allotment authorities are doing the same thing. Few years ago, DDA had been listed
the most corrupt organ of the Government by Transparency International. It has
surprised many to know from newspapers that that DDA's lottery, 2008 for allotment
of almost 5,000 flats are in order. There are world famous statisticians in India
who can check & verify what random technique of statistical rules has been
used to select allottees. Has they ever been associated with such random selection
procedure?. It was reported earlier that there are 26 people with the same
name and all of them have been allotted flats. Can any Statistician be convinced
with this selection procedure? Are the Police engaged in this exercise are competent
enough to judge the sampling technique used in selection of allottees? There
are eminent professors in Indian Statistical Institute at Kolkata, Delhi or Indian
Statistical Service Officers working in Delhi. They could have been invited in
the lottery to weed out such corrupt practices being perpetuated over decades. If
DDA accepts the results of the lottery, 2008 and allots flats then another corruption
is going to be legalised. And it would boost the spirit of corrupt current &
ex-employees like Meena's of DDA in allotting flats/plots in the name of their
associates & relatives. Long live corruption in DDA! R Das CR
dossiers of all eligible IRS officers be sent to DOPT CR dossiers of all
eligible IRS officers, who wish to get empanelled as JS be sent to DOPT rather
than waiting for 1981 batch to get empanelled first. Irrespective of batch, if
the CR dossiers are complete for an applicant officer, they should be sent to
DOPT with vigilance clearance. Sridhar Vacancies of DIG for IPS These
DIG level vacancies have are there because the IPS officers are shy of joining
the CPOs at this level because of tough living conditions and operational environment.
They all want to stay in Delhi which is not possible. In fact a large no of vacancies
in this rank have been transferred to cadre officers of these CPOs since 1993.
So it is nothing new. The IPS will go only to those places where they can have
good time. Anuradha Several IAS officers from batches prior to
1989 yet to get postings There are many IAS officers in GOI from batches
prior to 1989 who are yet to get posting as JS. Shrimat A serious matter
that indicates conspiracy against public 1. The Agriculture Minister
alarmed the country by making a statement in Lok Sabha that sugar production was
going to drop drastically. 2. A visit to the website of the Indian Sugar Mills
Association on 4.8.2009, however, showed that the sugar situation was going to
be comfortable. The reference of the webpage is :http://www.indiansugar.com/briefings/index.htm
3.As the statement of ISMA on the said page was not dated, a query was made on
4.8.2009 by email, seeking clarification on the same. 4. As no reply was received,
a reminder was sent on 6.8.2009 and 7.8.2009. Kindly see both the emails attached.
5. Surprisingly, on the same day, i.e. 6.8.2009(GMT), the contents of the page
were completely replaced by some other news item about release of 16.5 lakh tons
of sugar by the centre in Aug. You may see the cached page by a google query which
shows the cache snapshot as on 6.8.2009. (attached) 6. No reply is received
to the email query till date. 7. This is very intriguing and serious as the
matter is of utmost importance to the people. 8. It appears that there is
a systematic effort on the part of the industry combined with concerned politicians
to spread wrong information to the public otherwise there was no reason for ISMA
to suddenly remove the sugar situation comfortable statement and replace it with
another statement crediting govt. with release of sugar. 9. Unfortunately,
the original page is no longer there on the website. In greater public interest,
it is imperative that the media investigates this matter thoroughly by confronting
ISMA in the first instance and then following up with other investigations in
the light of the findings. This matter is being brought to your notice by
an alert citizen and it is sincerely hoped that you will also respond as any responsible
media should. R Swamy |
